The Five People You Meet in Heaven (2004)
to the person or persons who bashed this film
excuse me people the plot line of this movie was very well done and the sets were made that way for a reason but i have one serious question for you do you know what heaven looks like? if you do then try telling everyone else on this planet lord knows if you know we could all use the guidance. i also offer this piece of philosophy its not what things look like its how they feel. stop thinking in a materialistic point of view and look beyond yourself. and i might sound like a bible thumper and i apologize but if you ask me Mitch album wrote a great story and a great movie ensued.
you hear me people
Tears of the Sun (2003)
a very well done job
tears of the sun was by far one of the best military films and at the same time serves as a humanitarian movie. Antoine Fuqua is by far a genius in his own right how many directors do you know win an academy award for their first films(training day). the chemistry between Willis and belluci is by far rare to find these days. the formula Fuqua used was original and very well thought out. you couldn't help but feel for the navy seals. now if only the military in real life could be more understanding like these men though its hard at times to make a decision like this. the ethnic cleansing scenes were in a word intense i couldn't even look at the film during the scene with the mother and the baby. When the villain finally met his demise i was routing louder then anyone in the theater (i almost got kicked out because of that) by far a great film
Stealth (2005)
bring a barf bag
stealth though had a promising chance fell so far short of the mark it was just horrendous, my girlfriend and I ended up with head aches and motion sickness from the cameras inability to steady itself this was by far a surprisingly bad move for Rob Cohen although the acting on behalf of Jamie Fox was really well done especially when he is talking to a Thai girl trying to explain his life as a pilot but other than a few feel good moments the movie was just plain bad. if only they had toned down the fast paced motion of the film and the Aeriel photography wasn't even worth mentioning top gun had better Aeriel stunts. I will give credit to Jessica beil's physical assets but that alone couldn't save this film, if you ask me its a better plot line for a video game not a blockbuster movie.
