Ne croyez surtout pas que je hurle (2019)
A must-watch in the days of pandemic
Something we can all relate to during these days, although some of us feel like that for a long long time. While i acknowledge that it can be hard to watch for most people, i'm quite satisfied with what i saw.
Çiplak (2020)
a pleasant surprise
First things first, even to shoot this series under an authoritarian islamofascist government takes a lot of courage so i had to congratulate the directors and BluTv for that. Other than that, it's much better than i expected, considering the 5.7 imdb rating, which was a pleasant surprise. For its budget, I think it is a very well made series. It had some flaws and superficiality in its plot, but it is not something unexpected as each episode is around 15 min. Normally, I would give 6/10 for the series itself, but considering the political environment it has been made under and the directors' effort to create something original in Turkish standards I think it deserves 8/10.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
Criminally underrated
I was expecting another silly Netflix movie but i was bored so started watching it. It was surprising in a nice way so much so that i had move back after an hour to start from the beginning. It definitely deserves a higher point. Great acting, great dialogues, and a cinematically pleasing movie.
Zone blanche (2017)
Just boring...
Every scene in this series are unnecessarily extended and dramatized. I'm not sure if there is a requirement to keep your episodes longer than 50 minutes but mostly an episode in this series worth no more than 25-30 minutes of your time. Beyond that, it is filled with horror/thriller cliches that thrown at you every second. Not the worst series on Netflix, but definitely one of the most overrated. I gave 2 points instead of 1 just because of the picturesque scenes and beautiful French language.
