La Révolution (2020)
I did not get the ending at all
I kept checking to see if I was somehow missing an episode because that ending made no sense to me at all. What we see in the beginning doesn't even happen, are we supposed to just guess what happens between the ending and what we see in the very beginning? Because that doesn't seem like a logic outcome - I don't see how it could ever end like that.
Equinox (2020)
Why do people keep comparing it to Dark?
Idk why people keep talking about another show, this is Equinox! I loved it! Made me want to hear the podcast it's based on. Definitely worth watching. Unless of course for some reason you expect to watch an entirely different show. Then you might get disappointed :p
Marple: Greenshaw's Folly (2013)
A bit of a disappointment.
I love miss Marple, but this one was a bit of a disappointment as it was just too obvious. That murder scene of Katherine gave everything away. There were two people on the ground - supposedly Katherine and some constable - both of whom interacted with Louisa who was standing at a window on the second floor, yet none of them looked up at her even once. And they were both conveniently wearing hats so we never actually saw their faces. So when you realize that those two weren't in fact Katherine and some constable, there was really only two other people it could be. I'm not usually one who guesses the plot and everything so I was disappointed that this one scene spoiled it all.
Outlander: Dragonfly in Amber (2016)
Spectacular!!!
God this episode was amazing!! Without a doubt the most emotional episode of this show - I cried multiple times throughout. However, the way it keeps jumping back and forth in time was just brilliant; every time I felt like I was about to fall to pieces watching what happened in the 18th century, it would jump forward to the 20th century and thus give the viewer a small (but much needed) break. Some of the best television I've seen in a long time!
Outlander: The Fiery Cross (2020)
Good start
So far, so good. I love how they incorporated scenes from Jamie and Claire's wedding into Brianna and Roger's wedding because this story will always be about Jamie and Claire. Which is also why I'm really only interested in the sex scenes between Jamie and Claire, the others I could do without. More Jamie and Claire!!
One small thing though. Why did they kill the intro song? The accapella version of the Skye boat song was just weak to me. I used to get goosebumps every time they played that song, but not anymore.
A really good episode overall, which is a relief after season 4.
Outlander (2014)
What an amazing love story!
Outlander is fantastic! The love story between Jamie and Claire is so powerful, so emotional that it's up there with Edward and Bella's in Twilight. It's simply a beautiful tale of a man and a woman who are destined to be together even though they were born 200 years apart.
There are however a few things I'm not too crazy about. Firstly, I hate how the Scottish element fades. It was such an important part of season 1 and much of season 2. I miss the clans men, the highlander culture and nature, and I never thought I would say it, but I miss Jamie in a kilt! I know they probably couldn't keep the story going if they didn't go on adventures, but I just miss how it used to be about Scotland!
Secondly, I found season 4 to be a bit of a disappointment. I just wasn't super invested in the whole "now we're going to America" thing. It seemed a bit like an attempt to keep the story going by starting new story lines - it didn't actually have anything to do with the first 3 seasons. Also, I don't really care about Brianna and Roger's love story, it just seems like an attempt to remake Jamie and Claire's love story through these two character. I'm just not invested in any other love story than Jamie and Claire's. It's always been about them.
And what happened to all the hot sex scenes from season 1? They used to show the whole act, but now the scenes are cut short, sometimes before anything has even happened. That's not cool! Don't be a tease. It's like the show became semi PG13 all of a sudden. It's a shame because it was hella hot and those scenes were so affective in showing the deep emotions between Jamie and Claire.
Unfortunately I feel like the show started on top with season 1 definitely being the best season and then every season afterwards has seen a drop. I really hope they turn it around with a killer season 5. With that said, it is still an amazing show and I highly recommend it! If you like historical romance then you will love this show!!
Mænd & høns (2015)
Great movie
This is typical dark Danish humor and I love it! It's definitely worth watching if you like dark humor.
Twilight (2008)
The ultimate fantasy love story!
It's very simple: if you're a guy, don't watch it! If you're are girl, watch it!!! Especially if you're just a tiny bit romantic, chances are you will love this movie!!
It's clear from the mediocre score on IMDb and the many bad reviews that there is this hate culture around this movie (most likely from people who aren't the target audience, such as males), but there is a reason why it became so crazy popular.
Stranger Things (2016)
I have no idea what all the fuss is about!
It was recommended to me by a friend of my ex. It did nothing for me. I found it semi boring. It turned out my then boyfriend felt the exact same way.
Anonyma - Eine Frau in Berlin (2008)
Amazing movie!
I love this movie! Seen it several times. Generally, I like watching movies about World War II, but I think it's something really special when you experience it from a German point of view. It sort of takes away that whole "black and white" view that tends to dominate these accounts by making you emphasize with "the enemy". For me, it is not important to pinpoint exactly how accurate this story is or whether it reflects a general situation for women in Berlin; the important thing is that it did happen to someone, and it forces the viewer to reconsider the whole "us and them" concept by demonstrating that there are perpetrators and victims among all peoples of all nations in the world. And in the case of war, the primary victims are always the people of those nations involved, no matter what side they are on.
Pride (2014)
One of my all-time favorite movies!
When I heard the plot of this movie, I really didn't expect anything, but only went to see it because I had a free ticket. Needless to say I was so positively surprised! This is one of my absolute favorite movies ever!! It is such a feel-good movie, it is funny and it entertains you from start to finish. And Ben Schnetzer really takes it to a whole other level with his portrayal of Mark Ashton.
Everyone should watch this movie!!
The Artist (2011)
A masterpiece!
This is truly one of those situations where the saying "a picture says more than a 1000 words" applies. The acting is phenomenal and the story beautiful. I really loved this movie, and I didn't expect to.
