My mother told me when I was little I would sneak out of bed down the hallway and hide behind the lounge if she said I couldn’t watch movies with them at night. From then I had a healthy fear of the dark after seeing too much of American WereWolf in London. When I was 8 I would run upstairs every time the iconic Jaws music would start and gained a healthy fear of the ocean. I still swim in the ocean but I sometimes leave a light on somewhere in the house. I just love a good scare.

Stuffed (2021)
One of the Best Roller Coaster Rides of Emotion Ever
I reviewed this film for my website Mother of Movies back when Stuffed was released. I was checking in on how the filmmakers were going with progess for a feature film of wide release for this amazing and insanely emotional short film. Performances are incredible, the theme is uncomfortable and the ideas presented had me telling everyone I knew about it.
Sadly as at mid 2023, it remains viewable as a trailer only.
Stuffed, taps into the most intimate moments for humans and what it takes to find people to fill us up. As both a melanchily look into all the things that make us human while trying to prolong the things the we find, this is a must see.
It makes me sad people can't see it.
This is the type of filmmaking that we need more of. Alsion Fitzjohn (Araminta) is a force on screen. Her co-star Anthony Young (Bernie) spews forth a vunerablility and conviction that left my nerves frazzled.
Closer (2004)
Best pivotal romantic movie of ever
This continues to be
One of the most pivotal romance movies of its kind. No matter. Moments in this film about hat happens in the i between are what get to me.
Fills me with such sorrow. Thank everytime
"What about your things"
"I don't care about things."
The cast. The sentiment and the rhetoric that love is something that cannot be overcome by ever is so well encapsulated it can't even do it justice.
Performances outstanding.
Screenplay 10/10
Nothing will ever equate to this.
"Talk to me"
"You've got the wrong girl"
That end scene got me like dead.
This is simply the best movie ever made with the best script ever written.
"Lying is the most fun you can better do with your clothes on but it's better of you do. "
The Walking Dead: The Rotten Core (2022)
Negan Negan Negan
As a die hard fan of Glenn Rhee, I stopped watching TWD way back when as my own private revolt against the injustice. Years later I've watched on with intrigue as Negan has evolved as a character. One of the best characters ever I think. I know some fan still have a fire lit for Negan but this episode was brilliant.
Having Hershel quietly figure out who Negan is and dare to go head to head was so tense and amazing for both sides.
Like a long drawn out debate and defense against how life was then compared to now, Negan makes a convincing case, especially as Maggie seems to have taken a leaf from book in recent episodes as well as past and killed for the sake of killing.
One of the stand out episodes of this awesome season.
Holes in the Sky: The Sean Miller Story (2021)
Documentary & Found Footage
Despite the niche of filmmakers with tight budgets to tend to rely on this type of movie, Holes in the Sky: The Sean Miller Story is a well thought out and entertaining film.
What stood out the most was the solid performances of the cast. Convincing portrayals of witness and experts really help the narrative along when you're trying to convince an audience the fictional story you're telling is based on fact.
I loved the nods to other dissapearance related documentary shows as well as the commentary.
Like any film with a small allowance, it's east to see where cuts were made. But these were done with care.
Really great work. Watch it, don't skip it.
Life Like (2019)
Don't believe the negative reviews
Sure it's got lag, but that's what makes it special.
Just when you think it's trying to be the next Ex-Machina teaching you about life and love, relationships and humanity the second half makes good on the misdirection from the first.
I really liked this and I'll be scouting out this directors other films as he's obviously underrated to spit this out to -On Demand- with no big announcement.
The chatter has started and I'm leading with a big ol'
"watch this"
- it's not going to blow your mind but it certainly has its merits.
Long Lost (2018)
Fantastic Film With Great Scripting
I have a full review for this film after recently watching it. Please see my IMBD profile for more information.
I have no issue with well worn ideas made into new films when it's done as well as this was.
I thought the performances, especially from Weppler who plays Seth were fantastic. A lot of films don't pay close attention to scripting, but here it's done with finesse and restraint. Lots of things have hidden meaning and intent so if that's your kind of film then you might like it as much as I did.
