Alien (1979)
Wow...Just, wow....
I am speechless... This is just one of the best movies ever made. Ridley Scott, you've done well... Mixing such an old, boring plot with new elements, making it better than the both of the things.
Sigounery Weever is a great actor in this! She shows that gender for a protagonist really doesn't matter. The xenomorph alien looks so scary! It is one of the scariest movie monsters ever to exist in movie history!
This is both a sci-fi and horror film, and perfectly balances between the two, like, I can't even, OK?
10/10. There is nothing wrong with it. This movie is an absolute masterpiece.
Aliens (1986)
Even better than the first one!
I liked Alien so much! It is one of my all time favorite movies ever to exist! And this is even better.
So Alien was a mix between horror and sci-fi, while Aliens turns the horror more into a thriller and adds the action/adventure elements to it.
It greets you with an amazing cast of characters you really care for, and nothing can stop that, even if you watched the movie before.
Rebecca, or Newt, is the most caring kid character in a monster movie. Usually kids in a monster movie don't work out, but here it does.
Why I like Aliens more than it's source material Alien, because you saw how a single xenomorph was powerful, and now seeing an entire race of them and they're awesome queen is just amazing.
If you want to see this more than Alien, you don't need to see Alien, even though Aliens is the sequel. That is why I like it.
10/10. Another masterpiece that is better than the original... Classic.
Alien³ (1992)
Oh God... After the first two I wasn't expecting this.
Why? Just... Why? After the first two which were some of my favorite movies, this is just disappointing.
All of your favorite characters from Aliens are now dead. In the intro of the film, the ship crashes on fire and all of them die instead of Ripley. I hate it.
The dog-xenomorph is actually an awesome concept, but is done in front of a green-screen so it looks suckish.
My favorite part has to be the end, when Ripley throws herself in lava to rip-out the alien species.
Well, Alien³ isn't a bad movie, but it isn't as good as the first two.
5/10. It is not bad, but it definitely falls to the mediocre genre.
Jurassic Park III (2001)
Meh... Forgettable, but not the BAD.
I LOVED Jurassic Park. My second favorite movie. The Lost World: Jurassic Park was great, but I could see where the third one was gonna go. And I was right, Jurassic Park III does NOTHING that the first two did.
What bothered me the most is that Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant aren't together anymore. They are both in the movie, but both have different pairs! The T-Rex was like the main antagonist in the first two films and now he dies at the beginning! And the decisions by the main characters were just... stupid! I really liked that the new antagonist was the Spinosaurus, but COULD HAVE YOU AT LEAST KEPT THE THREAT FROM THE FIRST TWO MOVIES ALIVE FOR JUST THE INTRO OF THE FILM?!?!
I do NOT recommend picking up this film, unless you are a die-hard fan of Jurassic Park. Then you might enjoy it.
6/10. This movie is a disappointment to the first two, but because of the Spinosaurus, it is just OK.
Jurassic World (2015)
Finally a sequel as good as Jurassic Park!
Now, listen. Not even Spielberg knew what to do with the sequels for Jurassic Park! And this movie nailed it!
The park looks just amazing! The dinosaurs are the biggest problem in my opinion. You can tell they are CGI, and the new dinosaur, the I-Rex looks bland and boring. What this movie did good is making it a direct sequel to Jurassic Park and ignoring The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III.
The highlight of the film is easily the fight between the T-Rex and I-Rex, and the mosasaurus and raptors jumping in the fight.
9/10. Jurassic World isn't perfect, the dinosaurs look bad, but the acting is great and concept is great. This movie is amazing and I cannot wait for the sequels to come out.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Not as good as Jurassic Park, but it is still a good movie!
So, if you read my review of Jurassic Park, you probably know that Jurassic Park is my second favorite movie next to Gojira. However, The Lost World: Jurassic Park doesn't deliver the same feeling of awesomeness. However, The Lost World: Jurassic Park is still a great movie! I don't care what other people say.
In this movie we find out that the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park were not cloned on the same island. In this film the main protagonist is Ian Malcolm who was a side-protagonist in Jurassic Park. Here we learn more about his daily life.
The whole movie was just OK, but what saved it for me is when the T-Rex came to the city and started rampaging through it.
8/10. Not better than Jurassic Park, but is still great non the less...
Jurassic Park (1993)
my second favorite film!
This movie is just excellent. This came out in 1993, and the effects are better then most movies that came out today! The plot is simple.
A company named In Gen found a way to clone dinosaurs and bring them back to life, and ask a few scientists to go for a tour on the island. Suddenly, the power goes off and the dinosaurs go free and start eating tourists.
The plot is nothing special, but the dinosaurs, plot twists, characters are so good that the plot feels like no one could come up with it! This is my second favorite film of all time next to Gojira.
10/10. There is nothing wrong with it. it is a master piece.
Aliens Night 2: The Greys Return (2016)
I was hyped for the sequel, but it wasn't as good as I expected.
So, I expected this to be longer, like the first, I wanted to see the original actress, and more action. This movie was OK, I wanted the aliens to give more of a challenge, and what was that part when the guy was trying to be a ninja? I liked the alien texture a lot more on this one, Andrea has improved on CGI, so I wanted more of them.I was actually posting comments on the original video, like ''ALIENS NIGHT 2 HYPE!!!'' and I was really wanting it, but sadly, no. Life is not fair. If he is ever going to make a third one, I want it to be the best one. I want him to get this dude and the original actress at the same time, if possible, make it run at least 8 minutes, and don't kill off the aliens so easily. This movie was cool, but I prefer the original. 6/10
Alma (2009)
Scary kids film!
My god do I remember this! This is a movie me and my friend saw on a Croatian zoo-week, Divlje ljeto, or on English Wild Summer. Every lunch we would get sandwiches and chocolate, and watch short films we found on YouTube. Well, Alma was one of them. When we watched it, we FREAKED OUT! I didn't sleep alone for 2 weeks! I still sometimes get that touchy feel, even right now, as I'm reviewing this, that a doll of myself is right behind me, trying to get me possess it. I went to Wild Summer in 2012, and then, in 2016, I have finally decided to watch it again. And the experience was not at all different. Of course, now I wasn't a scaredy cat as before, cuz now I'm used to horror, but it was as creepy to me. If you love scary animations, like Coraline or The Nightmare Before Christmas, I think you could watch it. But, if you don't like creepy things, stay away from this!
Aliens Night (2014)
AliensNight is awesome
This is a movie me and my god brother saw when we were browsing YouTube. When we saw it, we were amazed and it is starting to become one of my favorite movies.
The CGI isn't the best, and the actors aren't as good, but that is the best you can do with such a small crew!
The scientist was a great protagonist, and the aliens are awesome looking and a little bit scary. The part when the UFO fights the military fits up amazing with the story, and how the aliens can do 2 things at once. The ending is great, not gonna spoil it, but it teaches a great message for everyone. I showed this and Andrea Ricca's some other works to my sister, and she liked them too and watches it with me every day.
Aliens Night is a great movie, even with an average story and laughable CGI even tough I said you can't do better with such a small crew. Just wish it was longer and a big budget film.
8/10.
Behind Closed Doors (2009)
This is a short film about a boy who fights with demons
Me, my sister and my friend recently watched this movie. We were enjoying the story, but were complaining about the animation and the voice acting.
The movie begins with the introduction with the main protagonist, Gregory, laying in his bed hearing sounds coming behind the closed closet doors. His dad enters the room, telling him to stop shouting. They have a little fight of what the sounds could be, but the dad doesn't stop saying that there is no such thing as monsters. Gregory walks out of the room to have a look through the house, and sees a shadow figure in his bedroom. His parents send him back to bed. Before he lays down to go back to sleep, he has a look into the closet to find out nothing was there. Behind him, he finds an evil, zombified version of himself. I like how they made it, it looks very scary. He runs out of the room, to see his drunk dad hitting his mother into the head, knocking her out and leaving her bleeding. He finds out that the true monster was his dad the whole time, so he goes in the closet to find the evil him to kill the dad. When the monster bites his father into the shoulder we find out that Gregory was the monster the whole time somehow, so he goes to check on his mom to find her still alive, and they live happily after.
Behind Closed Doors is a good movie, the story is very interesting, but the animation is a little off and the voices are auto-tuned. Final verdict would be a 6/10 for me. I recommend people who like short horror films to watch this movie.
