Mr. Robot (2015)
TERRIBLE main character
I didn't have any expectations for this show when it came out, as I had heard nothing about it; all I knew is that it was about a hacker. I watched the pilot when it came out, it was good. I've watched all the episodes and there's one thing that bothers me so much: THE MAIN CHARACTER. I cannot get into this show with how dull the main character is. I don't know if it's the writing or the actor, but something needs to change. I'm very much into weird, psychopathic characters (like Dexter), and the main character of Mr. Robot is weird...and also very boring. He's a crazy good hacker that we find out is insane, that sound SO interesting - why is he still so dull? I don't know, if you like him, good for you. That's my one grievance against the show. Overall, it's pretty educational if you'd like to know 'hacking 101'. I do recommend, as it's still sort of enjoyable
MatPat's Game Lab (2016)
It's a bit better than okay
Out of all the YouTube RED shows that are out, this is one of the better ones...although, that's not saying much at all. YouTube RED is a fail when it comes to content that is fun to watch. Anyway, out of the 8 episodes that are out right now, there are 2 that are enjoyable. The rest have boring premises, bad execution, and bad guests! Seriously, where do they find the YouTubers that are guests on Game Lab, the street corner? I have never had the creativity be sucked out of me from watching something that's supposed to be entertainment. It does educate you on some things (hacking, bombs, stealth, etc.); the education is great, but when they try to reenact it in live action it falls short and is mostly boring. Worth watching? Not really, unless you get it for free, and maybe not even then.
Scare PewDiePie (2016)
They're Just Running on PewDiePie's Fame
This show "Scare PewDiePie" is the laziest 'show' I've seen in quite a while. This would be a whole lot better if it weren't so fake. Like most reality shows they are trying to trick the audience into believing this real, that PewDiePie doesn't know everything that they are going to do. This DOESN'T WORK on this show! Seriously, it's about scaring a YouTuber and putting him in scary scenarios (sometimes video game related). This isn't like 'Operation Repo' where it's entertaining to watch, whether it is real or not. Scare Pewdiepie might be fun to watch if it wasn't all scripted, and even if it was scripted, HIRE BETTER ACTORS - this show is made for 10 year olds (not a joke)
