Yedinci Kogustaki Mucize (2019)
Lingo, lingo... Awesome!
Definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen. Heart compelling, moving and totally unforgettable. Huge fan of Memo and Ova, but astonished by the awesomeness of this brilliant little child! Where can I get an Ova, please? :)
Chicago Med (2015)
Worst medical drama EVER! Top notch as a comedy, though...
I'm halfway through season 3 and I just can't believe I'm still watching this crap. As a physician working on ED every single week I can say that I've never seen a most inaccurate tv show as this one. For starters, every single health professional character goes rogue on an episode basis, doing whatever they want wherever they want to whoever they want, even disregarding the specialists opinion. Yes, the specialists they call for a consult. Yes, someone who is more up-to-date to a certain standard of care...
Then, every single thing is solved on ED. Putting aside the "treat them and street them" philosophy, we see high end techniques being performed on ED with miraculous recoveries or quick cardiac arrests. Antibiotics are quick on improving patients, ECMO is used in every corner and the ED doctor is the one who sets all the surgical needs and literally shoves the patients into the OR. Hey, lovely surgeons, we don't need you to think, just use your scalpel and open this one up!
Radiology is also available to the beat of the drum. No waiting line, just send the patient in. And the patients opinion or will is the last thing that matters. Because the practitioner's emotions are the most important, so let's just do even the more pathetic and over the edge procedures and treatments so that we can all sleep better at night... Or will we? Maybe it would be better to listen to a patient's lungs or measure is O2 sats before pumping him with drugs and radiation...
Also, I've never seen a patient that gets out of a surgical procedure be dragged once again to the ED, with the emergency doctors taking care of them. Or, even worse, to see the ED doctors in the ICU with the critical cases is just appalling. And there isn't a code blue or a family member's cry for help that doesn't have the supposedly very busy doctor in charge for that particular patient just absolutely available to fly into the room and save the day... Say WHAT???????
Finally, the most complete set of totally useless, incongruent, confused and annoying characters are found on this show. Natalie should be tied and gagged so that no more stupid things come out of her mouth, Will needs to wake up from his Natalie induced coma, Ethan is too full of false confidence, Sarah is a mental case all together, Connor must stop pretending that the is not the rich spoiled brat that he actually is, and the nurses, ladies, the nurses must stop performing doctors procedures. It's getting too repetitive, by the way...
All in all, a show that really showed some promise in its early days has become a joke. And that's exactly what it is for me right now: my daily dose of laughter. Comedy rules!
This Is Us: Strangers: Part Two (2020)
Pearson vs Pearson
This was, by far, one of the most intense episodes in the series, specially when it concerns que epic battle between the 2 Pearson boys. And although Randall's always been a favorite of mine, right now I cannot stop to throw up at his sight. His psychological issues came to a point where his actions are irrational, self centered and petty. Boo, Randall! For the first time, I'm team Kevin! And even though his reply to Randall's cruel remarks was totally exaggerated and inexcusable, Kevin is a total hero in what taking care of his mother is concerned. So anxious for next season!
Scandal: Over a Cliff (2018)
Over a Cliff - that's where I'd rather be...
There's not much to say after one of the most disappointing and weak finales ever made... Since Liv's kidnapping back in Season 4 the show has been down the hill, and now, finally, over a cliff... How I wish I could throw Olivia and Cyrus over one myself!
