Prey (I) (2022)
2/10
Very disappointed
8 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1) Stupid americanization. If they're supposed to be indian, have them speak indian and then translate it, to keep it more authentic. And have them and their clothes look a little bit more dirty, i'm sure they weren't that clean nor groomed. They should have learned this lesson by now.

2) Acting could and should be better. Could have been a good concept, but it's just way, way below par.

3) Bad cgi. A bear doesn't run like that. The snake looked really fake too.

4) Camera shaking and moving all the time, tiresome for the eyes to watch. To have to readjust the sight all the time.

5) You don't hold a bow and arrow like that.

6) Could have been great if it was directed better. Very disappointing and sad.

7) The only good thing about the movie is the predator, it does look quite scary and "feral" in that sense. But hell, after 4+ movies that is well to be expected.

Bonanza: He Was Only Seven (1972)
Season 13, Episode 22
10/10
A masterpiece for Bonanza, and as standalone episode
10 June 2022
One of the best episodes. Many Bonanza-episodes try to be serious and have many different actors trying to bring seriousness to it, but fail to bring it to a heightened level. This is one of the exceptions that manages to do that. Michael Landon gets his character flawlessly in this, and even Mitch Vogel, which i think doesn't hold much presense in Bonanza, is getting a more serious role and manages to find more presense, which is much needed for him.

If you can see past the violence, it is a masterpiece
14 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I had low expectations for this movie, how could it even touch the first three? I do agree it has overwhelming violence, but if you can see past that, this movie is maybe the most heart gutting one (no pun). It really gets your attention, and even after Rambo has gotten his revenge, you still feel the emptiness after the loss of his outside daughter. I was overwhelmed by the fact that an action movie of this genre would capture my imagination to this extent, i guess that is also because all the other actors does to a fantastic job.

One positive point i will point out, is that in Rambo 4, there was an excessive use of shaky camera, which to me ruins the movie completely. But this has toned it down and only used it in the action scenes, which makes it tolerable and sensible to me. That is a huge positive.

I also had my doubts that Stallone could portray and pull out the toughness and action sequences to even reach the first three movies to their knees, but i was completely overwhelmed by this also. Many scenes here are even better than many of the previous movies. He portrays Rambo's aging well.

Hard to find anything more to write. If you want a really heartfelt gory action movie, even if i didn't know that genre existed, this movie is for you.

The only negative i will write, which is not really a negative, is that it is too heart wrenching. The way Gabriella died and the emptiness you feel at the end of the movie is something they truly captured, so this makes it a very emotional movie, despite all the gory action. It's the first time i've shed tears after any movie in quite a few years.

I also wish they cut out the montage at the end, and really just ended the movie with the emotional music and closing credits. It really just cheapens the movie, but if this is the last Rambo movie, i do understand why they put it in there.

Bonanza: Twilight Town (1963)
Season 5, Episode 4
9/10
A masterpiece within the Bonanza universe.
4 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think this episode at the least is a masterpiece within the Bonanza series.

It represents Little Joe being close to death. The last battle represents him moving closer to death, but as he won the battle, he set himself back to life, and all the trapped souls free.

The black woman represents death, trying to get Little Joe to escape the town, thus denying him the right or the courage to fight to get himself back to life, trapping him in purgatory.

And like other write, the weird and haunting sound effects and music is really something else. It creates a really chilling atmosphere. I don't think i've been afraid after watching any tv episode or movie, for quite many years before i saw this. So to anyone reading this before seeing it, it is worth taking seriously.

The strange comments they make sometimes, and acting out of place, represents that this is really happening in a spirit world. Another example is that there is very little sound from the footsteps when they walk.

Landon seems to look very distrought and with a very sinister and sincere look throughout the entire episode, really adding to the creepiness. He does a really great acting job in this one, acting a bit differently than in other episodes.

When Hoss talks to Ben about Joe, he is very determined and unshakeable, and acts very much like the souls in the village, but acting more like someone wanting to help and be a good force... in opposition to the souls in the village, draining Joe for energy.

Even the two actors Stacy Harris and Walter Coy makes a remarkable job of looking like an undead corpse and a hovering ghost. That is not an insult, just a commendation on good acting skills.

The raiding party represents the hell that they are being put through every time they show discourage, representing that in real life too, if one keeps showing discourage, one will continue to be terrorized and possibly reliving one's worst nightmares time and time again ... until one, or with the aid of someone else, finds the courage to fight and win the war.

It also seems strange, but it seems like this episode is filmed with some kind of filter lens, making it seem a bit more greenish and strange than others.

A really good episode. The only reason i don't give it 10/10 is because it is just so different, and there are some few other episodes that makes an even greater remark, that is more within the main theme of Bonanza.

Fantastic movie with Bud Spencer at his peak acting performance
31 December 2020
I think this movie is Bud Spencer's best. I've seen almost all he's been in. The fighting scene in the bar with the sugar on the omelette is probably his most iconic and best fighting acting ever.

It has that old-time feel. It may come of as a bit cheesy and strange for some people. But to me, the genuinity, humor, stereotyping, the natural environments, the use of music .. everything is great in this one!

As a humorous and sometime serious movie, it is highly recommended.

Masterminds (2003–2007)

Really great crime series
31 December 2020
The only criticism i have, is the music and editing used in some episodes .. it is almost unbearable to listen to and to watch.

But most of the episodes have a more mellow style and is easier to listen to and to watch.

The series goes in great depth into how different criminals function and their stories. Some are interviewed, which is very interesting.

I really recommend this series. The episode "Stealing Las Vegas" is one of my favorite episodes, i suggest to start with that one.

Outlander (2014– )

Unfortunately the worst show i think i've ever seen
31 December 2020
This series really hits the bottom of the barrel.

Every scene of acting feels so forced, quirky, weird, shallow and unnatural.

There are always some annoyance, some quirky acting that doesn't feel right.

The plots through the series are so thin. One always knows what's going to happen next. And sometimes, something else happens that is just totally random and got nothing to do with anything. And leads to nothing.

All of the sex scenes are so quirky and cringy, i started to skip them quickly. The nudity in the series is not a product of great acting, it just feels so forced and unnatural.

Her tooting voice when she's upset or angry is unbearable to listen to. Sounds like a goose getting electroshocked.

One particular annoyance i've found in this series is the way they speak. It's always a lot of wheezing and hissing noises when they talk. It's so annoying to listen to. Always a pronouncing on the TH, SH and H- sounds. Just as a cheap trick to play on people's nerves and emotions. And it's just annoying.

If the directors didn't know their history before making the show, they shouldn't make it. Sassenach is a derogatory word for an English foreigner, for a Gaelic person to use. It is not particularly used for a love interest. So every time he use that word, it is misplaced and feels wrong.

The acting is flat and shallow. Never any depth to speak of. If there are scenes that develop to get deep, it peters out as fast as it starts.

The humor in the show is also very cringy. Never any real depth of acting to drive the point through.

Not easy to write something like this, but it really is just a bad, bad series altogether. I am just forced to watch it because of a friend watching it when they visit.

It doesn't feel like it's the actors' fault. It feels more like it's the directors' and producer's fault. Because i've seen some of the actors in other series where they did a much better job.

I would not recommend anyone to waste their time with their life watching this. Watch something else instead.

Haven't played the game, but having an opinion on the music
27 October 2020
This game has some of the best gaming music i have ever heard, through thousands of video game tracks. It is also some of the best music i have ever heard. I recommend listening through the songs on youtube. Just incredibly amazing, extremely well composed.

Almost on par with "Ransom for a dead man"
10 March 2018
One of the absolute best Columbo episodes so far. I think the music is nice and fitting. In terms of Columbo episodes, this can be watched and enjoyed for a long time.

Poirot: Death in the Clouds (1992)

One little annoyance
17 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler*

Very nice episode, and of course i know it is fiction, and taken from a very well written book - but what kind of ruins it for me is, why could she not just scream when the killer stuck the needle into her throat? Poison takes a little while to take effect, and with so many people around there, screaming for help should reveal him instantly, although she would have died anyway. I imagine they do not have antivenom on airplanes like that.

Just thought i should mention it.

Don't understand why this is so popular
18 April 2017
I understand this movie is based on a novel, and if you have not read that novel, you will not enjoy the movie much.

I don't get the popularity of this movie, it must be because of the book, which i have not read, but many movies based on books are much better than this one.
