Men (2022)
sometimes you need a movie like this..
Wow. Talk about unnerving atmosphere...
theres a scene in a tunnel that is a stoners delight...
a lot of people are angry at the end of the movie, but when you suss it all out makes sense (although its overdone)
is creepy and weird and scary and fantastic and atmospheric....
you wont forget it in a hurry....
so because of that it gets a high score from me..
Titane (2021)
ALMOST GREAT..... spoilers.
GOOD...intriguing, sexy, violent, shocking, well acted, sad, well made...
BAD... the ending, i needed more than what happened.... it made the whole story pointless to be honest and changed it from an improbable but possibly real story to a fantasy one....
i wanted her "oil checking" to be an explained mental thing, not BabyTetsuo.
Loved Up (1995)
ravers delight
Parts of this will blow some 90's minds...
its a love story set around the rave/drugs scene in UK.
It got edited in to a kids drama for education TV.....
THE REVIEWER BEFORE ME MISSED THE POINT ASKING FOR LESS DANCING SCENES.... THEY ARE "ESSENTIAL" TO THE ERA AND STORY.
Bottom Live (1993)
simply the best
To think of this as just slapstick is to miss 90% of the show,
we have Rick Mayall who without question is the finest comedy actor of a generation, and perfectly complimented by the incredibly funny Adrian Edmondson.
It doesnt matter whats happening, what matters is the energy and brilliant comedy timing from two masters of the craft...
Logan's Run (1976)
needed to be 30 not 21
The most thought provoking sci-fi of them all.
Theres some 4k upgraded scenes on youtube... if your a fan go watch them and youll be thankful.
Dust Devil (1992)
atmosphere for days
Short review..
wow, from the opening music to the sunbaked desert scenes and atmosphere as dank as any movie you ever watch...
quite a simple plot... the devil lurks around the desert looking for lost souls... and a run away wife needing some comforting...
very dark, very creepy, very underrated, when Richard Stanley is on form, theres no one better at creating an atmosphere on a budget!
Dune (1984)
from the point of a movie watcher not a reader
So as we all see and read theres two camps reviewing this...
film lovers seemed to enjoy it.... whilst the book readers hated it...
nothing i can add will be worth adding, its all been said...
i just need to add this about "readers" reviewing movies,
1: how stupid does anyone have to be to think the whole saga and every detail was gonna fit in a movie?
2: if reading a thing is so much better than viewing a thing... i say to you "are you watching pronnhub or reading playboy?"
dont answer , we all know already....
3: hows them apples?
