Sing (2016)
A great film for all ages, including parents!
Sing was just absolutely FANTASTIC! My mum said that it was one of the best films they have ever seen and my dad is a CRITIC. I can still not believe some of the actors singing voices like Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy/Ted) as Mike the mouse. I never knew that he could sing that well other than a few family guy episodes. He is absolutely brilliant.
Back to the film, I never got bored throughout the whole film as there was always something going on. I saw it in VueExtreme a couple of days ago and it was just amazing. The bigger screen and better sound made the singing just that much better. I would say it's for all ages.
The characters stories were just so well thought out. Like Johnny, with him having to be in his dad's gang even though he just wants to sing. Or Meena, who just wants to sing but gets so scared. At first I didn't want to watch it, thinking it was just another one of those crap kiddie films, but boy I hugged my friends for inviting me after the film ended. So, even if it doesn't look good, go and SEE it because you will be surprised.
To conclude, if you DON'T enjoy this film than SHAME ON YOU as it's probably the best animation I have ever seen other than maybe Despicable me 2. It's for the whole family and including parents who will love it just as mine did.
Finding Dory (2016)
Very good but not as good as Finding Nemo
Finding Dory is basically the same as Nemo but it's Dory's turn now. The story line is quite good actually and the characters are very funny and characteristic. If i am being honest, it's not as good as the first one as it's not as interesting and good as the first one. Firstly the comedy was a bit too much but the first one was more emotional than comical. My sister enjoyed it but she's only eight. I, however am 13 and I like good animation like Toy Story 3 and Frozen and The Jungle Book. But this wasn't as good as those past Pixar films. So I was a little disappointed.
But as I carried on watching, I realised that the film wasn't that bad and actually had quite good voice overs and a good enough story line. All I will say is don't get too hyped or you'll be a little disappointed. It's a good film but a little bad compared the Pixar's last films like Toy Story 3 and Frozen and Wreck it Ralph.
Godzilla (2014)
Good acting skills but not great film
This Godzilla movie isn't the best. But, it isn't the worst. I am usually so hyped when blockbusters come out in cinemas and I am even more known to be one of the first to watch them but I can honestly say with a hand on my heart that you should NOT repeat NOT ever go to the cinema to watch this film. If it costs you nothing and you are at home just watching it because it's there than maybe. But do NOT waste any money buying a DVD or on AMAZON or anything like that because you will be a very angry Joe if you have to pay ANY money for this trash.
The sound affects and the make up effects for GZ are good. They generally scared me at some points of the movie. But if i'm being honest that's the only thing going for the entire film. Aaron Taylor-Johnson's acting is quite good especially for the emotional parts of the movie and so is Cranston's acting but you can tell it's made up.
The story line was just plain stupid. Blah, blah, blah three monsters, blah blah blah. You probably understand. The worst thing for me was that the film BASICALLY isn't even ABOUT GODZILLA. GZ only appears like half way to three quarters of the movie. It's more about the other creatures that appear in the first half.
Now the ending isn't too bad, and I won't say too much for you folks that haven't seen this but it's just terrible. The normal happy ending blah blah blah. The film ends with GZ, and you can't even really tell whats going on. Also, the film doesn't even finish with a 'the end' nothing happens for like 3 seconds then BAM! with the dramatic music and credits then that's it.
To conclude, unless you like wasting money or time, don't watch this film. And if you do end up watching this film, be prepared to be annoyed.
Sully (2016)
Tom Hanks is just amazing!
Sully is a true story about Chesley Sullenburger who in January 2009, landed an airplane on the Hudson River in America.
Tom Hanks as Sully (Sullenburger) was just an amazing pick. He really makes the audience feel what actually happened that day. Although the film was good, their were some problems throughout the movie.
Firstly, their isn't as much action as the trailer proposes. The movie starts with the audience being told what happened, then we see the plane crash. But the crash is only about 4-5 minutes long. And that scene is virtually the only scene with action. Also, everyone knows in advance that everyone on the plane survives so they shouldn't have used so much of the film time on that.
The film is only 90 minutes long and I can understand quite well why. Clint Eastwood had nothing else to add to it. The acting of Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart are very good and emotional but that's really the only thing that worth the while.
The film ends before it even begins. I think that the film shouldn't have ended where it did. Their should have been more after the court case like Sully calling his family to tell them what happened, or something else. But the way they ended it on a a joke wasn't very well prepared or done.
To conclude, you can watch this film as its not too bad, I still enjoyed it partially, but don't be too hyped for it or you'll be very, very disappointed.
The Amazing World of Gumball (2011)
The Amazing World of Gumball is a hilarious show for all ages
The Amazing World of Gumball is a Cartoon Network kids show for maybe 10 and above. The entire show is about a Cat named Gumball and his walking, talking fish Darwin and their incredible funny everyday adventures in 'Elmore'
The reason I love this show and recommend it to everyone is that in the show many of the things that happen are real life problems like oil spills and presidential issues. And as the show makes those issues funny we forget how bad they actually are.
Many of the shows also are about Gumball weird comedic family and things that happen their. GB's mum is a frantic, loud strict mother who takes no nonsense and GB's dad is a fat, stupid, bunny who loves food and eats all day. Lastly, GB's sister Anais is an intelligent freak who is smarter than everyone, but all of them are funny in their own way.
To conclude, Cartoon Network is back! With much better show like gumball regular show and adventure time.
Zootopia (2016)
Even better than Frozen (2013)
Zootropolis is a fun comedic adventure film made by Disney in 2016. The good thing about this film is that there are absolutely NO adult jokes hidden beneath words so all kids can watch all the scenes because they are very understandable.
There are hundreds of characters spanning from bunny's to lions to naked giraffes. The main characters (Bunny and Fox) have to work together to sort out an animal scam going on.
The story line for this film is absolutely perfect in many ways. The characters are funny and there is a lot of adventure. The comedy is just grand. The sloth scene was just hilarious, people in the cinema couldn't stop laughing for a good few minutes, even after the scene ended. Kids all ages will enjoy this film.
The part where a few animals go savage is a little bit scary. My sister screamed. (Age 8) But other than that there are almost no inappropriate, scary or crude scenes or references during the movie.
To conclude this film is a great family friendly feel good film of the year. It is no doubt one of the best animated film of the decade and it will most likely be popular for a very long time.
Nowhere Boys (2013)
The first two seasons are epic, but the third is horrible
Nowhere boys is a adventure, comedy and mystical teen show about four teenagers who get deeply lost in a forest, than find out when they back that they have super mystical powers.
At first I thought that this show wouldn't be that good, but, this show is very hard not to watch after the first few episodes. The characters are very funny, it has a great story line and as the seasons go on the creator provides excellent tension between the characters.
The only problem is the third season. Where do I start...... all of the awesome characters form the first two seasons disappear without a trace. Awful new characters come into the show and it's absolutely nothing like the first two seasons. The story line if a little different and the characters have no chemistry whatsoever.
To conclude, Nowhere boys is s great show filled with laughter, action and emotional scenes, but unless you wanna be disappointed, stick with the first two seasons.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Even better than the Avengers!
Just like the new Marvel film Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy takes a step into the mystical magic world of Marvel.
If I say so myself, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the top superhero films in the world. It is nothing less of a magnificent movie. it does not only have a great story line, but it also has a great amount of action, comedy and seriousness throughout it.
The films hero is Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) a hilarious gun man with top notch technology, who we first see stealing a metal orb. Then, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) tries to get the orb for herself. But, the police catch them and they eventually get locked up together with two others. Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel).
They meet Drax the Destroyer(Dave Bautista) who helps them escape the prison and they set off to find Ronan the Destroyer.
For those people who are like film critics or want a movie to be perfect, you will enjoy this. The film has 100% amazing acting, great props, a good and stable story line and the comedy was just right.
To conclude, this film is very good. I was thrilled when I left the cinema after watching this film. It may partially scare kids under the age of 10 but it is a very good film. I don't know who my favorite character was because they were all great! Watch this film and you will not be disappointed.
4 O'Clock Club (2012)
A great comedic show for all ages!
4 O'Clock club is a CBBC show about a boy called Josh who's older brother becomes a teacher. The show is more aimed at teens from about 12 to 15.
The first two seasons are about Josh adjusting to his school life while having his brother keep an eye on him. josh gets into lots of trouble and his brother always has to bail him out.
At the end of the second season Nathan (Josh's older brother) moves away to another country to live with his new wife.
During the wedding though, the school gets set on fire and the kids at that school (Elmsbury) have to move to the nearest school (Falmere)
Also, Josh's cousin Nero moves in to live with Josh.
To conclude the show is an enjoyable comedic show for everyone, my parents even watch it with me sometimes!!!
