12 Mighty Orphans (2021)
Entertaining Sport Story
The movie doesn't break any new ground. Think Hoosiers on the gridiron, but it's still very entertaining. I really enjoyed the story, it's got all the elements , hard luck kids, a villain, a hero and a challenge that would make most cringe. Loved it and honest I'd probably watch it again when it comes out on DVD or TV.
The Gifted: eMergence (2018)
Huh Hotrible first episode
This has got to be the lamest season premiere of a show I've seen in a long time. Season 1 was so good and really set up the Mutant vs Sentinel Service Battle aNd season 2 was just a terrible start to what should have been a promising season. Hope they get their act together cause they will lose all credibility if there's many more episodes like this.
Lost in Space (2018)
Lost in Space Reboot
Lost in Space
This was a strange Season 1 in the fact that I think it alienated viewers before they gave it a chance to really absorb everything that came about. Without giving any spoilers I will say those that did stick it out for all 10 episodes were rewarded by a storyline that came together and pieced together many of the mysteries that comprised Lost In Space. Some people didn't like how dark Dr Smith was but many fail to realize that in the original series Dr Smith sole purpose was to destroy the Jupiter spaceship. They didn't really dive into the implications but that basically meant killing off the Robinson family who would have been collateral damage along with the mission. The current Dr Smith is every bit as evil but in a more menacing psychological way. Also many were turned off by the robot, in the new series we saw two sides, the killer robot, and the robot that was loyal to Will. As with the whole storyline there are twists and turns that play themselves out in the series finale. The biggest difference between the original series and the 2018 version is that the 1965 ship was knocked off course by a meteor shower where as the series already starts with the Jupiter ship in flight. I think what plagued the beginning of the series was the storyline. At time it was choppy and rather dull if not uninspiring. I myself nearly gave up on the series by episode 5 but those that did stick it out were rewarded with 3 very riveting episodes that explained many of the mysteries including the finale that lends to its title "Lost in Space". I can't really say more without giving out spoilers so here's to hoping that Season 2 starts up where Season 1 left off, with a bang!

Young Sheldon: Pilot (2017)
Horrible and terrible
seriously I don't know what people saw in this show. It was horribly written, not funny in the least and the only show in recent memory that made a 1/2 sitcom feel like an hour long funeral (for the record I've been to funerals that were more entertaining than this). Do us all a favor and cancel this before episode 2.
Independence Day: Resurgence (2016)
What a waste
Unbelievable is the only word to describe this...and not in a good way. They've had 20 years to resurrect the Independence Day franchise and this is the best they could do? The movie was poorly written, lacked any depth in the characters, lacked any cohesive flow and just flat out sucked. A group of 7th graders could have written a better sequel. There were so many predictable moments and throw backs to the original it was almost embarrassing. Seriously, anyone that didn't' see the alien grabbing the president and slamming him against the glass must have been snoozing or on their phone. Poor poor remake. Whomever wrote this story has no business working in Hollywood.
