A Godwink Christmas (2018)
Sweet Story
This is my favorite "Godwink" movie. Paul Campbell & Kimberly Sustad and incredible together! They have so much magic on screen that makes them very enjoyable to watch. Also, they are funny and cute at the same time. It is a typical Hallmark movie to a point, but has some little twists that keep you watching. I had never heard the term Godwinks before, but after watching this, I now believe in them. It makes you think that maybe you have had some along your way. Another thing, this is based on a true story which I love that aspect. If you enjoy sweet, cute movies that leave you feeling warm & cozy, this one is for you!
Christmas at the Plaza (2019)
Beautifully Done
This is one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. It's very well written and so enjoyable. Ryan Paevey and Elizabeth Henstridge had great chemistry together. This isn't one of your typical storylines. Yes, there is romance, but there is a different kind of story that caught my interest. I'm not sure if over the years The Plaza really has had a different tree topper or finial d'arbre, as they say in the movie, or in France, but it made an interesting story. The Christmas decorations are so beautiful and so is the Plaza. I found all of this to be pretty magical. It's one of those movies that makes you wanting more.
A Biltmore Christmas (2023)
Not your typical Hallmark movie
This is my favorite 2023 Hallmark Christmas movie. I had to watch it because Kristoffer Polaha is my favorite Hallmark movie actor I watch whatever he's in. I'm also a fan of Bethany Joy Lenz. She has such an adorable personality. These two created magic on screen. It's a very well written story that keeps your interest from beginning to end. I already said magical, but this movie is very magical. It transports you back to 1947 where these two people from a different time meet. The acting was very good by the whole cast, plus with the costumes, it made you believe it really was 1947. If you enjoy feel good romantic Christmas movies, you're going to love this one. Plus, the Biltmore Hotel made such a beautiful backdrop.
The Nine Lives of Christmas (2014)
Great feel good movie!
Yes, we know that almost every Hallmark love story movies are the same. Usually, someone has to go back home for Christmas and they run into their ex, but there's always a job offer that might get in the way. This one isn't like that, but it is a love story. I love this movie a lot and have to watch it every Christmas, sometimes twice! Kimberly Sustad is my favorite Hallmark actress. Brandon Routh and Kimberly had great chemistry together, they'll make you laugh and root for them to get together. I also love that they made a sequel, The Nine Kittens of Christmas. If you like cute romantic holiday movies, you enjoy both of these. Also, there is a great supporting cast, including Gregory Harrison plus the adorable kitties. You'll definitely fall in love with Ambrose, he's adorable.
Name That Tune (2021)
This Reboot needs a Reboot
We do like Name That Tune in general, but this show is awful. We were excited when we heard this show was coming back, only to be greatly disappointed. I agree with the other reviews, the production and hosts are horrible! Jane is the worst game show host ever! Randy, with his Words of Wisdom, are so stupid!! We just don't get it!!! Jane looks and acts so inappropriately it's disgraceful and such a turn off. My husband and I both watch this show shaking our heads saying you've got to be kidding me, are these people for real?? Also, we guess they don't have a budget for wardrobe since they both wear the same 2 outfits every other episode. We like playing the game itself, but the whole thing seems staged from the contestants to the audience. One high note is the singers are pretty good. We'd still like to see this show on the air, but it needs a total overhaul, from the top to the bottom. Different network, different producers and, most of all, different hosts!
Home & Family (2012)
Show would be much better without Debbie M!!
Overall, I do like this show. I enjoy the cooking, craft, animal and plant segments the most. I do like most of the cast, but I can't handle Debbie M. She is so phony,
arrogant and rude!! Every single time she's with a guest, whether she's interviewing them, they're showing how to make a craft or a recipe she has to top them!! She basically tells them how to do the craft or the recipe and knows more about the subject that they're talking about. She thinks she knows it all and she definitely doesn't!! She is so overbearing I really can't watch her anymore!! I enjoy Cameron and especially Maria, she is such a cutie pie. Ken, he's so self righteous, I can't handle him anymore either. Other than Debbie & Ken, I do like the rest of the cast. I've made several of the recipes and even some of the crafts. After reading the other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of hers.
Please, please, please replace her and soon!!!
A Timeless Christmas (2020)
Not a typical Hallmark story
As others have stated, this movie is full of a lot of flaws, but if you look at it from an entertaining standpoint, I rated it a 9. I was surprised how much chemistry Ryan Pavey & Erin Cahil had together. It was a very nice change to have a different storyline for a Hallmark movie. Even though I'm a big fan of them, most of them are very similar so I really like it when they change them up. If you like wholesome, family Christmas movies, I really think you're going to like this one.
Christmas by Starlight (2020)
Magical
I really enjoyed this movie a lot! I'm a fan of both Paul Campbell & Kimberley Stustad. I think individually the are both very talented actors, but together they make such a great team. I've watched every movie they've been in together and this is my favorite so far. It's full of comedy and cuteness, but also very heartwarming. This is definitely one I'll be watching every holiday season to come. I would like to see them make a sequel to this movie.
It Was Always You (2021)
I really enjoyed this movie
I love Hallmark movies, but some are the same old story over and over. This one is along those lines, but it was done better than most. I'm a fan of Tyler Hynes, I could watch him in anything! Great actor with such a fun personality and handsome to boot! I like Erin Krakow in comedies, I think she is really cute in this movie. They two have good chemistry. I'm not sure where this was filmed, but it was a beautiful setting. I also have to mention Paula Shaw. I always enjoy her. Overall, it's a cute romantic comedy with a great Hallmark cast, but also has a few touching moments to round it all off.
Mr. Mayor (2021)
So Disappointing
I like Ted Danson but this show is too stupid to be funny. Why do most new sitcoms on TV think that the characters have to act so ridiculously strange to get a laugh. It's just not funny. I wish there were new comedies like Last Man Standing, Mom, Frasier, Friends, Cheers, etc... the list goes on and on. They are good, classic shows people can relate to. Yes, there are silly/goofy people and situations, but they are shows that are very entertaining.
Christmas at Graceland (2018)
Cute movie but.....
I think it was a cute movie, but I'm really sorry to say that it would have been much better with a different actress other than Kellie Pickler. She has an amazing singing voice, but isn't ready to be staring in any movie. She really needs to work on her acting skills. I love Wes Brown though. He's a really good actor, nice looking and has a great voice too that I didn't realize until this movie.
