Honestly I went into this movie with a mediocre outlook seeing as how so many movies and shows these days are continuations or reboots that fall short but this film was able to capture the magic of the original series. I was incredibly impressed by the performances of Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin as well as their involvement as executive producers. It shows how much this story means to them and it came through in their great performances as well. All too often is content gritty or filled with drugs and nudity in an effort to attain an audience in todays world, so seeing a film that grasped the attention of its viewers while staying true to a family friendly genre and containing great lessons for children and adults was a breath of fresh air. Incredible film, incredible cast.

An outstanding performance by Zac Efron steals the show in the film, The Iron Claw. The emotional depth portrayed by Efron as the sole surviving son of the Von Erich dynasty is incredible. While the film its self takes liberties with the story, it grasps the viewers attention straight from the opening and gives an incredible weight to all of the characters as it continues. I was impressed by all of the acting throughout the film but Efron definitely was the stand out performance. Going into this knowing very little about the Von Erich dynasty, and learning more later on, I was impressed by the story regardless of the differences.
