A Broken Mother (2022)
Persevere till the end
Nothing else to watch so I watched this. Half an hour in I wondered why I was bothering and was ready to give it the usual 1 star. Am glad I didn't give up. Nuff said.
Dear Diary I Died (2016)
Worse Than Awful
I wondered why I'd given this such a low score originally. 10 minutes into it on again I know why. Is the background tinned 'music' for real? Am now turning the TV off .
You Can't Take My Daughter (2020)
Far better than expected
Why this got low scores from viewers I have no clue. It was realistic, kept me riveted and well worth watching. After 2 years of seeing mindless crap on afternoon TV when us elderly have had nothing else to watch how refreshing to have something really good. More please.
Outbreak (1995)
Not fiction anymore.
Who would have thought when this film was made that in 2021/2 we'd be living it? USA has army in 'control'. Never thinking people if all the films are to be believed. We have HMG. Ditto scenario. Are we all doomed?
Deadly Vows (2017)
We need minus stars ASAP
As others have said, stupid storyline, horrendous acting by entire cast. It's hard to believe people get paid for this garbage. Come on IMDB. Give us a minus option.
Tipping Point (2012)
Unreal
Please please please can we have minus ratings. This is so unbelievably bad we have no clue why it's still running. Watching paint dry? 100% more interesting.
Viewpoint: Episode #1.2 (2021)
What a shame
Tried watching, disjointed, really bad acting. Am still trying but really not hitting the spot. A waste of what could have been really good.
Midsomer Murders: The Wolf Hunter of Little Worthy (2021)
Why bother?
Different writers? Apart from original cast crap acting. Pathetic storyline. Just bad bad bad. After years of a really good series what on earth has happened? Taking advantage of us all being in Lockdown and no choices? I'd rather watch paint dry.
Strike: Lethal White: Part 1 (2020)
Is it me?
Now into episode 3. Me and and him indoors feel this lockdown/ Coronavirus must have got to us. We've totally lost the plot. Have no idea what we're watching as it's so complicated. Last 2 series-brilliant. Please someone tell me it's not just us feeling confused
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018)
An insult to Abba
Producers cashing in on a marvellous group. And making a bad job. You should be ashamed but I guess £ signs are more important. Shame on you
Wrongfully Accused (2019)
Appallingly bad doesn't even begin to describe it!
Acting-bad all round. Storyline-oh come on....... lead actress (if that's what she purports to be) -over Botoxed plus unreal teeth, to go with inane facial expressions? Music-100% of the time and like all the other reviews have stated, far too loud. Probably on purpose to cover the dialogue? A thought? Avoid at all costs
Cardinal: Robert (2019)
Get rid of the crap music!
We gave up on the last season because the so called 'background ' music was too overwhelming. Whoever is in charge/composed it can someone please tell him he ain't nowhere near an Oscar, unless they give them for irritating Pratt's.
Web of Lies (2018)
Not the real world-sad sods
Terrible. Unreal. Do people really behave like this in a permanent mobile phone bubble?
Is this the world we've created, if so I'm glad I'm old. Technology is great but this? Definitely OTT.
Annihilation Earth (2009)
We NEED a minus rating
I should have listened to the current reviews. After weeks in lockdown and bored brainless even a crap film has some appeal. I would have been better off staring at the wall for a couple of hours. Nothing I can add to what everyone else has said. Just avoid this film at all costs
McDonald & Dodds (2020)
Sad
Watched the first last week. Storyline OK. She just irritated both of us-maybe that was the point? But 2hours of irritation? This week nothing changes. Usually ITV does good series. This is NOT one of them. Please don't bother to do anymore
Arrival (2016)
Award for sound editing? Who's joking?
Which sound was edited? We can only guess it was the dialogue. I think this is probably a very good film but as most of the dialogue was totally incomprehensible we lost so much of the storyline. this seems to be the norm for films nowadays. Unless Americans have a different hearing system to us Brits. So disappointed.
Gone (2019)
Highly Underrated
This was given just 2 stars in our UK TV guide. Totally unfair and whoever reviewed it was either on a bad day or just being plain mean. The only criticism if you can call it that is the very slow buildup. But isn't that what a good thriller should do? It's definitely worth watching just to see if you can work out 'Who done it' before the end. I didn't which is unusual for me
Vera: Parent Not Expected (2020)
Needs subtitles
Just can't believe it's 2020 and we have all this technology. Sound system is crap. I just love Vera, brilliant series, but there's nowt wrong with my hearing and I just got totally pissed off with trying to keep up with the plot. Sort this ASAP
Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad (2019)
A bit of that's what family should be like.
Entertaining, natural, Dad and son obviously singing from same hymn sheet. Guess lots of us will envy them bigtime. A thoroughly nice series
Jesse Stone: Night Passage (2006)
Movies at their best
Have seen each one so many times I'll soon be word perfect. You can't fault a thing about each one, the acting, characters, script, storyline, locations. All totally brilliant. The information's out there-you just have to let it in is an all time great.
The Magnificent Seven (1960)
Wish they made em like this now
I've lost count of how many times I've seen this film. They don't come any better-not one fault. Even after all these years the meaning is relevant. Will probably watch it again if I live long enough
Black Rain (2009)
Under rated and unfairly so.
I'm glad I took no notice of most of the other reviews and gave it a chance. Very thought provoking plot and unfortunately quite plausible considering the world we live in. And nothing wrong with the acting in my opinion. I've seen more famous highly paid 'Stars' act worse and nt get criticised.
Only the Brave (2017)
Yank Macho
I can't believe I wasted a couple of hours of my life on this. Storyline crap, acting OK but they are getting paid after all. Just a boys club doing OTT macho. Sad
Cash Trapped (2016)
Is this really for real?
Apparently Bradley knows what's going on. I think he's the only one. He's great, funny, love watching him but who thought up this series? Please let me shoot them-soon. The sooner The Chase comes back the better. So far I've not found a living soul who understands what's going on. The alternative is the b****y News. I rest my case
Age of Ice (2014)
Much more than bad
So bad that you think it can't get any worse-surprise, yes it can. The acting is atrocious along with the entire script and storyline. No doubt it'll be on again probably within a week. I can only assume the producers are paying TV channels to show it?
