Surprised with the bad reviews
22 September 2021
It's not the best movie ever, but it's totally fun to watch, has a bit of a twist. Keeps you entertained the whole time, go watch!

Not directed by Wan, still worth the watch.

Pretty decent compared to 1 & 2, keeps your attention, and entertained the whole time. I missed James Wan directing it. He gave 1 & 2 a little something that Chaves doesn't have. Overall, definitely worth the watch. Don't listen to all these negative Nancy reviews. Best Conjuring out of the 3? No. But absolutely worth seeing.

Chicago P.D. (2014– )

Not terrible, but extremely unrealistic
11 May 2020
I mean.. if you're looking for a decent enough show where you can half watch and still understand what's going on, this is definitely the show for you. Acting is okay, some episodes are better than others, and can be very cheesy. Character development is pretty much none. I would've liked there to be more background stories, and more of a dive into their personal lives. Most episodes are pretty fast moving, and can keep you entertained.

But overall my main complaint is that it's so unbelievable. They solve a new case every single episode, taking down drug, guns, and human trafficking empires. Like if you were solving that many cases every few weeks, you'd be the most successful police agency in the world. There'd be no crime left in Chicago, or even Illinois. The shootouts are totally unrealistic, especially public ones, where they're basically the Terminator dodging bullets, and killing or injuring suspects like it's no one's business. They also go into active shootings, or gang raids, etc, just the 8 of 9 of them, when realistically, they'd need clearance to do so, with tactical support, air support, and with a trained SWAT unit. There'd also be 100x more paper work for all the shootouts, plus mandatory time off, and seeing a therapist, being cleared of the shooting, (internal affairs would definitely be involved with any unit or department involved in that many shootings) and all that jazz. Also, everyone stays the same rank. In reality if you were even coming close to solving that many cases, and taking down that many illegal operations, everyone in that unit would be promoted and pretty much be in leadership roles of the CPD, teaching others how to do what they're doing.

Overall, like I said, it's an easy watch, especially if you're bored, it'll entertain you. But if you're looking for a gritty more realistic cop show, I'd definitely recommend Bosch, True Detective, The Wire, or something along those lines.

Redemption for Ben Affleck
26 April 2020
I really enjoyed this movie, from start to finish. Cinematography was great, well written, fantastic acting, especially by Ben Affleck. I can't help but feel like this really hit home for Ben. If you're looking for the perfect, cookie cutter, comeback story, this isn't it. A real, raw, look on life, addiction, and fighting inner demons and pain. Definitely worth the watch.

Will Smith is an interesting choice..
7 February 2020
I know this movie came out nearly 20 years ago, but I recently re watched it, and wanted to share my thoughts. First off, if you've never seen it, and like Ali, it is definitely worth watching. Production and directing are both really well done. It does feel a tad bit too long, and can feel dragged out in different scenes. All in all, the acting is pretty good, especially Jamie Foxx. I didn't love Will Smith cast as Ali. Throughout most of the movie it definitely felt like you were watching Will Smith play Muhammad Ali, rather than trying to see it through Ali's eyes. In some scenes where he had to act cocky, and confident, it reminded me of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The boxing scenes were definitely Smith's strong suit. All in all though, like I said if you're interested, it's definitely worth the watch.

Cardi.. Smdh

It's not awful, there are some talented up and coming rappers. But it's just honestly hard to take Cardi B seriously.

Interesting

Fantastic acting, gorgeous cinematography, really well written. it's a little slow, very disturbing images throughout, and the sex scene is highly sensitive. It's a dark movie altogether, cinema lovers will enjoy it.

I really liked it, but season 3 is killing it
4 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Ughh. I really liked this show, the first two seasons were fantastic.. Season 3 is ruining the series. Cinematically beautiful, but the story plot is so boring. It's in the exact same spot that season 2 ends. Pretty much nothing has happened. Same old feud between Serena and June. Any hint of rebellion from season 2 is completely gone. The writers are clearly out of ideas and just milking the characters to death. It honestly should've ended with season 2. I'll finish the current season, but if it doesn't improve, I won't continue to watch in the future.

A show going nowhere..
14 April 2019
Honestly, I don't usually leave reviews, but this was bad enough where I felt obligated to. Every character is so moronic, it's just frustrating. No one is looking for weapons to defend themselves, or supplies to sustain themselves. I get that'd be like TWD, but if it's a zombie show, you can only do so much. A huge part of the Zombie genre, is survival, and killing the Zombies, just how it is. When a Zombie does come around, all they do is run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, on some wild goose chase. It's mostly painful to watch, and overall pretty dull.
