My Policeman (2022)
Heartbreaking and beautiful
A gorgeous film through and through. It reminds me a little bit of the notebook. I shed a few tears throughout the movie and ended up crying at the end. I think everyone gay or straight can relate to the kind of love they shared.
The movie is beautifully shot and the acting is very well done. The young wife is such a great actor. I enjoyed her in this film, as well as The Crown. Styles' acting has come a long way and for the better.
Overall, I highly recommend this film. And will be watching this film again. It has touched me deeply and I do consider it to be one to the best gay films I have ever seen, having seen probably 50 gay films or so.
The Northman (2022)
Boring and over the top
It was boring and over the top. There's absolutely no need to have shouting like maniacs for half the movie and no progression in the story. I didn't enjoy this film at all. Overhyped and overrated. I don't recommend it.
Kingdom (2014)
It feels real. It is real. It is an impressive masterpiece well hidden in today's crowded TV scene...
I started watching Kingdom when the show came out in 2014. I was hooked immediately. I have shared this show with others who had no idea it existed. I have yet to hear any negative feedback and everyone says the same thing: it feels real.
It feels real, how? The acting and the story are very believable. I had no idea who any of these actors were (except of course Nick Jonas - who surprises everyone with his acting ability), but after watching all 3 seasons, I can assure you I will be following each and every one of their careers.
I was emotional knowing this show is done and I simply cannot get this show out of my head. Very good chance I will go back and re-watch the entire thing over again.
Like others have stated, this show is a "hidden gem". Good chance you haven't heard of it. However, you have my word you won't regret checking this one out.
Dunkirk (2017)
Absolutely stunning. A masterpiece in every sense.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Where to begin?
First of all, this is a masterpiece. The acting and the storytelling WITHOUT the need for dialogue to drive the film makes this film my favorite war film. It's an accurate portrayal of the evacuation of Dunkirk and anyone who appreciates a good war film will absolutely love this masterpiece by Nolan.
From start to finish I could not take my eyes off the film. I'm still buzzing about this film in my head over an hour after the film.
I was fortunate enough to watch this in a motion activated seat. The film matched with motion activated seats is absolutely superb. It's almost like these seats were made for this film. The amount of action goes well with these seats and if the opportunity arrives to see this film in these types of seats, do it!
I will be seeing this film again, for the second time, in motion activated seats. That's how much I loved this film.
A breathtaking war film and a masterpiece of cinematography. Please watch this film, you will not regret! The hype is real folks.
