Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
Kang has destroyed trillions but.....
He is easily defeated by Ant man and ants? This is a really poor set up for the next couple films.
It is evident that Kevin Feige has nothing left to offer. I did go into this film with the understanding that it was an ant man film, so my expectations were low to begin with. Regardless, I was disappointed at every turn. I was rooting for Jonathan Majors Kang to sim just about the whole film after having to endure the acting from the main cast. There were several moments where I chuckled, but most of them came from Bill Murray, who was the 5 minute highlight of the film.
Instead of the big Marvel into playing, all future films should now just play the music and have the words "We're Sorry" on the screen as it's clear that they aren't getting any better.
Ms. Marvel (2022)
Please stop
I remember when Marvel took their time and made good content. All these series are just watered down rushed garbage. Disney+ has a great library of content. There is no need to pepper it with all these cheap projects. Take a couple of years and build the next phase properly with well developed characters. This is pure volume over quality.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
I miss phase 3 so much
This was an absolute disappointment. I highly doubt I'll be paying to see anymore marvel please 4 fodder.
The acting was poor, the casting was worse, and the story was so ridiculous because it had no boundaries. If everything is possible, then nothing is interesting, there are no consequences, drive, it's just infinite meaningless chaos.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
No thank you
There are a great deal of unanswered questions, anticlimactic moments, plot holes, and just overall poor story telling that warm this movie a solid thumbs down. I loved the first film, the second film was okay, this one was just awful.
Omission of a primary character, really no resolution to anything, and sprinkled in is just enough wokeness to make a garbage film.
Eternals (2021)
So much garbage
This is a compilation of bad acting, poor writing, and overall dribble. I found myself rooting for the bad guys hoping that humanity would be destroyed.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Hands down, best Spider-Man ever
This was a fantastic film, best non avenger marvel movie to date. The attention to detail as well as all the great dialogue completely makes up for that terrible last one with the dumpy non Wizard mysterio.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
I absolutely couldn't care less
Honestly, such a waste. These mini series are such a money grab to take characters that have a pop or cult following and hobble together a garbage story around them. Just accept that certain characters are cool in their context on not stand alone capable. Wanda, Falcon, Bobba Fett, are supporting characters. These shows are mistakes.
F9 (2021)
Ludacris, you are better than this
This is a team of people that were street racers that stole DVD players. Now they are special ops astronauts? I hate what they've done with this series, it is absolute rubbish. Please stop pissing on Paul Walker's legacy, you should all be completely ashamed of yourselves for producing this fodder.
Home Sweet Home Alone (2021)
So awful
It's difficult to tell who the "good guys" are in this film. Everyone is awful and absolutely moronic. It's hard to feel bad for the parents who are written as people I would consider to stupid to breed. The third home alone, which I thought was bad, is 1,000 times better than this train wreck.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
Sebastian Stan was the only good part
Socialist garbage pushing an agenda. This show had such good potential and the casting and social programming ruined it.
Ad Astra (2019)
Cool visual back drop for a really boring movie.
I like movies you have to think about; however, this wasn't one of them. Ad Astra is a melancholy story that had the feel of an overly funded indie film rather than a typical studio picture. I'd compare it to a really boring interstellar without a plot to care about or characters that carry any weight on the story line progression.
I typically enter into movies with a great suspension of disbelief, and even I could not be convinced that any of the space travel content was remotely in the realm of science. If I had to over analyze this film, I would say it was a mix of Interstellar and Shutter Island, as it was more likely that Brad Pitt's character was consumed by his own depression and psychosis and simply medicated his character's experiences in his own mind rather than made the impossible journey.
The Letter for the King (2020)
Thaddea Graham needs a better accent tutor
My kids like it.
Probably could compress the series into 90 minutes of meaningful content. There is a lot of unnecessary fluff to stretch it out.
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
Hannah John-Karen is a awful actress
Both female leads in this film are so bad. They take a somewhat okay script and beat it to death.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
Sophie Turner, please stop acting, or whatever it is you call this
Such a badly written and executed script on all accounts
Banter, so poor
Delivery, lacking
This is a far cry from the original X-men films. I very much hope that Disney is able to salvage this franchise from the shambles this film left it in.
The Irishman (2019)
Scorsese makes another mafia movie, I think I've seen this one before
So, I really enjoy crime and suspense dramas. In this case Scorsese reached into is creative bag that contains a single cookie cutter theme, the mob. He rolled out the dough with all the familiar ingredients, a whole lot of Italians, this boss and that boss, those guys you see in every mafia movie ever made, and sprinkled on some auto tune like trending computer deaging technology and shoveled us another batch of the same thing.
I do appreciate the straight to streaming approach with this one though, it was a respectable concession to a film that would not bring many from their couches to a theater.
Men in Black: International (2019)
Fell asleep in the theater
There was nothing worth caring about in this film. It was really just okay in the fact that it was a movie and it had my dream car in it. The Rezvani Tank kept the movie from 4 stars.
Ocean's Eight (2018)
Please stop
Movies have been remade for years, it's been a common remiss method by studios and writers for years to milk a script or character for decades. Rather than create something original, it is most certainly simpler to stand oh the shoulders of proven success and try and grab some dollars from that vantage point.
In this case, it is a remake of a remake. Similar to the theory in multiplicity, when you make a copy of a copy it doesn't come out as bright. Putting together an overall A- cast when all weighed together doesn't equal a successful film when the film itself is a poorly constructed agenda driven guilt film. "If you don't like this film, you must not believe in women's rights" and such nonsense.
Rather, how about take the same female cast, and come up with something original, unique, and truly invest in the idea of an all female lead film. If you want these films to do well, then do better at constructing the idea behind them. Ghostbusters, the hustle, what men want, all horrible films dripping with the same indolent creativity.
However, I feel this cry for better films will go unanswered as the film industry continues to question why less people are going to the movies. If your going to shovel poorly duplicated drivel at the public, they'd rather wait for it at home where the snacks are cheaper. So bring on the next batch of these turds, when Sally met Harry, she's not sleeping in Seattle, Ms Schindlers list, or whatever awful ideas are circling the conference room table.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Mix between a saved by the bell episode and a Disney "I don't want to be a princess story"
No lengthy explanation, nor a spoiler alert. This movie was an excellent reminder of what happens in second installment films, sleepiness.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
It takes a lot for me to turn off a movie
This movie went over and above. Neither lead character were believable as actors, or even human beings for that reason.
I was interested in the premise until there were words spoken by these two terrible meat sacks.
A plague on both their houses!
Power Rangers Dino Charge (2015)
More awful than you can imagine
Acting, deplorable.
Writing, possibly done by by monkeys, slow monkeys, very untalented possibly drunk monkeys.
Costumes, horrible foam rubber concoctions
Story, I feel like I was being punished when? Child had this on. But not a punishment that could fit any normal crime, it would have had to have been some horrendous war crime that should be tried in the world court.
