The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
Beautifully filmed
The aesthetics are fantastic. I don't mind that I am not familiar with the characters. I thought it might be the Silmarillion, but it doesn't seem familiar to me. So what? Visually, beautiful. It's like a new, long lost book, just found to enjoy. I can't wait to watch all of this. I was a little surprised by the opening scenes' short haired elf. I guess longer hair comes later?
The cinematography is top notch. I can see the big budget in the filming. In the first ten minutes I could see that it was filmed better than most movies.
A drawback is that I have not connected with characters like I did with LOTR, possibly as I connected with LOTR characters based on the books and even the cartoon versions of The Hobbit 1977.
I will definitely give it a chance and stay open-minded. So far, so good.

Should be considered as one of the great actresses of the last twenty years. After Fargo, and this....I will watch whatever she is in.
