The Rookie: Day of Death (2020)
Just so stupid
I hate writers so much. Every movie, every TV show, the kidnap victim gets the upper hand on the kidnapper and then runs away. Lucy is a cop who has previously demonstrated her supposedly superior strength over criminals. She has this guy down on the ground stunned, and runs away. Does she take the chair arm she just had in her hands and beat him into submission? No, she runs away. Come on writers, show some minor inspiration.
And don't get me started on TV writers' obsession with creating these moronic supervillains who are soooo much smarter than all law enforcement combined.
Deputy: 10-8 Outlaws (2020)
Conveniently Incompetent
These guys couldn't catch a cold, which really helped drive forward the unnecessary car chases throughout the episode.
The sheriff with a team of deputies on a stakeout watch a crew break in, steal jewelry, shoot a security guard, and drive away. I guess they never heard of the concept of setting a perimeter. Or stopping a crime.
Their consistent incompetence should get the entire department shut down.
Carter: Harley Wanted To Say Bonspiel (2019)
Embarrassingly bad
Could they not find one person who knew something about curling?
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Return of the King (2019)
Gina returns to ruin another episode
Just when you think you've finally gotten rid of the worst character on this show, she returns to become the focus of yet another horrible episode.
Bad enough as a minor character, Gina as the main character always results in a sub-par episode. Annoying is not necessarily amusing.
