The King of Queens (1998)
Arguably THE BEST
This show right here is arguably the best comedy sitcom I've ever watched. I've watched each episode at least 30 times. Leah and Kevin are incredible actors, natural and hilarious. The comedy writing is gold and the execution genius. The supporting cast are brilliant. I just can't get enough of this show. I wish more people knew about it.
You don't see do edit sitcoms like this anymore.

Georgetown (2019)
Christoph Waltz does it again
What a great directing debut for Christoph Waltz! If I hear of any film he acts in, I have to watch it - as his command of each scene he plays, and his incredible talent keep you both bemused & engrossed.
This film is based on a true story and the way it plays out this simple tale was done well enough to keep my attention. The fact that Waltz directed this, is lovely and I hope he is able to create more films - perhaps with a better budget.
All in all... A great watch!

The Mother (2023)
Dispicable film
Honestly, I should have known this film was going to be problematic when J-Lo used superglue to tend to a gun wound and used her bare hands to hold the man's seeping wound together without it getting stuck!! Then the next scene that had me cackling with disbelief was when she pointed a rifle at a wolf which was growling at her, then when it's cubs came out, she pointed her aim at the cubs...then... THE WOLF HAD FULL COMPREHENSION OF THE RIFLE AIM & BACKED DOWN!!! HOW SWAY!?!? Unbelievable uselessness.
And I'm sorry J-Lo cannot act. I don't buy her desperate attempts to play a moody hardened character. Her face does not wear her story at all. I didn't care if any character died in this film. Absolutely nothing original about this "netflox original". Poor poor poor.
Soólè (2021)
Hilarious!!
I don't get why people are rating this so low and why people are saying its unrealistic.... Duh!! It's a dark comedy. Nice to see a Nollywood movie that's somewhat different and genuinely has some funny characters and hilarious dialogue. Nollywood isn't on the level of Hollywood so I don't expect that quality in production. I like that the producers /director weren't trying to be westernised but instead gave nods to some of the old school Nollywood themes - armed robbers, occultism, fake pastors, loud raucous arguments and people getting killed. Hahaha. Guilty pleasures!
I was wondering where the film was going and the last segment seemed a bit off beat from the first three quarters of the film.
The Nest (2020)
No anticlimax. No point.
I sat for almost two hours waiting for the climax. I thought maybe at the end, we'd find out that it was an undercover haunted house movie. No. Okay how about seeing if there is a moral to the tale. No. Netflix sold this as a "psychological thriller" which is the biggest mislead. There was no thriller and nothing psychological about it. 2 hrs of my life I will never get back. I gave it a 3 because of the acting. The end.
Oh and someone tell me what was the big deal about the horses body being unearthed???????? Why did the boy respond to it as if he found the corpse of a werewolf.
True Story (2021)
This made me have a new found respect for Hart
I'm not actually a Kevin Hart fan. I find him too OTT in his movies and not entirely funny. However it was both refreshing and surprising to see him act in a more dramatic role. I believed him. I really enjoyed this mini series. All supporting cast were perfect. Not quite sure what the moral of the story was. I don't think there were any. But a good watch nonetheless. I also wish they casted darker skinned black women in this.
Wild Things (1998)
A twist too many
The first twist had me in shock and delightful surprise. The second one... I saw coming 5 minutes before it happened. 3rd one.... I was laughing. 4th one and I was rolling my eyes in disbelief. The 5th one... I wanted to punch myself in the face.
Infinite (2021)
Terrible film
I love Mark Wahlberg, and seeing him cast as main actor made me excited to watch this film. The premise seems very interesting but the execution is shambolic for the following reasons -
1) Exceedingly poor scriptwriting rendered Mark unable to really express a dimensional character.
2) BIGGEST PLOTHOLE - Bathurst wants the egg primarily because he is tired of reincarnating. He spends years and energy trying to locate it. But meanwhile he has devised and uses A GUN CALLED THE DETHRONER WHICH PREVENTS REINCARNATION. Why doesnt he just shoot himself?????? He's got a whole alphabetically ordered glass mortuary of dead infinites... Join them and rest.
I stopped the film as soon as they talked about the dethroner, as it made no sense. On top of that.... The film just lacks depth and I don't care about any character.
Loki (2021)
Loki the failure
Sigh. I really was looking forward to this. First 2 episodes are brilliant... And then it just becomes a disappointment. Loki falls in love!!! Are u kidding meeeeeeeeee. I absolutely love Loki as a character, but if you watch the Avengers and other Marvel films, you see that although he is a troubled and misguided soul.... He is EVIL. I really thought he would somehow show he's devious side and outwit the 'bad guys', and whilst being an antihero, still remaining true to his character. I'm thoroughly disappointed.
King of Boys: The Return of the King (2021)
Absolutely sensational
This made me feel proud to be Nigerian. The acting, production and sheer expertise of this 7-part sequel left me giving a standing ovation. Nollywood really has come far. Storyline aside, the performances from each character were phenomenal and really captured my attention. I wish Oscars could be given for Eniola Salami actress and Toni Tones (young Eniola). I think I went through every emotion - I cried, I laughed, I gasped, I got goosebumps and I was in awe.
The storyline was brilliant and I didn't see IT coming!!!
My hat goes off to Kemi A for writing and directing this masterpiece. The fact that I could easily watch tbis again says a lot.
King of Boys (2018)
Fantastic
A fantastic movie!!! Wow wow wow. Nollywood has ascended.
Into the Ashes (2019)
Cure for insomnia
The pace is so slow. An hour in and you realise that they could have got through everything withing 20 minutes. Snooze fest.
Boss Level (2020)
Very entertaining with a high re-watch factor
Yes! I throughly enjoyed this movie. Its basically Groundhog Day meets that Tom Cruise movie where he keeps getting killed and repeats it. You know which one I mean. The comedy factor made this film laugh out loud funny. I scored it an 8 instead of 9 or 10 because I wish it ended less ambiguously. But hey..... Still love it.
Stonehearst Asylum (2014)
Was a 'meh' film & main character sucks
Great premise but I kept getting frustrated with the excessive obsession that the doctor had with Eliza. It's overbearing and creepy and unrealistic and you just don't buy it. I wanted the patients to win and kill all the doctors. Dr Silas for the win. When a film makes you hate the hero, you know they did something wrong. Also the film fails to end well. I can think of several better endings. They could have had a shutter island type twist / profound lessons or insights but.... Nah. Definitely would not watch again.
Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
If you want to waste 90 minutes of your existence....
Please watch this film if you hate yourself. You will witness stupidity in abundance. You will roll your eyes in disdain.
Mayor Grom. Chumnoy Doktor (2021)
Absolutely brilliant.
I was really surprised with this film. Great action, great laughs, great acting... Can't fault it. Strangely it felt like I was watching a live action anime!
Batman meets Sherlock Holmes meets *insert cool anime*
Side note: first time I've noticed that spoken Russian sounds like Japanese! I hope there's a part 2.
The Magnificent Seven (2016)
Amazing film
I dont understand the low ratings here. This was a well made Western, with enough character development and bad a** action to keep you entertained and invested. I even cried at when some of the 7 died. Great film. And an empowering thing to witness the ethnic minorities in major roles AND surviving. I'd gladly watch again.
A Classic Horror Story (2021)
PURE SATIRE!!!!!
The thing is.... Lots of reviews saying that it copies lots of other films... Well duuuhhhhhh!!!! The guy who is behind it all, is trying to create a horror movie and Elisa actually says, "your movie sucks and is a rip-off of other movies".
I happen to love the twist. And if you watch past the end credits, you will see just how satire this movie is. The director is literally poking fun at it. I increased my rating from 6 to 8 based on fully understanding this.
Sinister (2012)
How it should have ended...
Main character does not moronically move family into the crime scene of harrowing murders but instead gives his life to Christ and lives happily ever after.
The end.
Army of the Dead (2021)
They should have all just sat in the safe with snacks and waited for the nuke
A typical zombie movie. Expected more of a twist or 'epicness' from Zach Snyder but it was pretty predictable. Not worth the 2 Hr 30min watch.
And riddle me this.... WHAT THE HECK WAS ALL THAT ABOUT THE SKELETONS WHO WERE DRESSED LIKE THEM??!?? The black guy started some RANDOM spiel about alternate universes/ resetting themselves in perpetual death nonsense...?!?!?!?!!!!?!! Was this film created in a drunken stupor?
Bad Trip (2021)
Impractical Jokers meets Def Comedy Jam
This was one of the funniest most clever I genius comedies I've seen in a long time. Had me screaming at the top of my lungs in laughter. Absolutely brilliant!
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
Absolutely incredible
Love love this! I watched the entire thing in one sitting. The end had me with my mouth wide open. I kind of guessed each plot twist (just prior to them being revealed) and even one of the main aspects of Adele but it didn't detract from how great this was.
