The Sandra West Diaries (2016)
Loved it! Adorable to watch!
Anyone who is a fan of the Adam West Batman series, Man/Girl from Uncle or even Get Smart, will adore this and its companion series, Super 7.
A real enjoyable hoot from start to finish, with nods to all the various 60's spy thrillers and spoofs to boot. It's enough to inspire Austin Powers back for a 4th part to his trilogy!
I honestly do urge everyone who comes across this little gem to try it out, you won't be disappointed. It is twenty minutes of pure escapist fun and nostalgia.
Olivia Dunkley is sexy, sophisticated and sassy, with plenty of streetwise cred and access to a whole arsenal of... unusual weapons. And, like Clint Eastwood, she seems incapable of missing no matter how difficult the shot.
They Call Me Superseven (2016)
Super7 scores a 10! (contains a minor spoiler)
Miss this at your peril! It's a cross between the 60's Man from Uncle and Batman, with huge dollops of humour, blatant spoofing and glamorous sexy spies. One of the most enjoyable and funniest things I have seen in a long, long time. Pure escapist entertainment. My personal favourite is a send-up of the excellent 'The Prisoner' from the late 60's, the only thing it is missing is Patrick McGoohan. Scott Rhodes, with his years of experience in movies, television and music-video making, really pulls out all the stops behind the scenes and gives the whole production a glossy, expensive feel, which is amazing considering the limited budget this series was shot on. If this isn't in your DVD collection, then you haven't lived.
