Gen V (2023)
Rare
The spin off has managed to capture the essence of the original while also expanding on its universe. The Gen V has breathed new life into the franchise and I can't wait to see where it goes next. I am excited to see how the spin off will continue to build upon the established foundation of the original. The new characters introduced are intriguing and I can't wait to learn more about their backstories. This show has successfully maintained the tone and style of the original, making it a seamless transition for fans. I have high hopes for the future of Gen V and I am eager to see what new adventures await us.
Resident Evil (2022)
Finally!
Most of the movies are just meh. But a lot of thought, plot development, and non-linear storytelling make this series well-worth the watch. Casting is impeccable. The writing is fresh. This is the best Resident Evil, hands down. So good.
Green Lantern (2011)
It Holds Up
I just watched this for the first time since I saw it in a theater 10 years ago. This is a movie that aged incredibly well. It's much better than I remembered. Maybe my recollection was tainted by bad reviews and Ryan Reynolds' own discussions about the film. I thoroughly enjoyed it in 2021.
Another Life (2019)
A Better, Edgier, Higher Stakes "Lost In Space".
Surprisingly good. After reading all the bad reviews, I was afraid to watch this series. However, I love Katie Sackhoff and her work in the sci-fi genre. I was not disappointed. Great ensemble cast and no one is safe. Anyone could die for the mission. It was a fun watch and an interesting ride.
Charmed (2018)
Better than the original
This is the reboot for which I was waiting. Unlike the original, this version of Charmed deals with actual real world issues in a fantasy setting. If the original was pop culture fast food, this reboot is much more nutritious. The storylines give you much more to chew on. It's well worth checking out.
