Final Fantasy XVI (2023)
Cliche background, boring story and pointless fights.
Liberating slaves, that's what they came up with after several years of working after FFXV. Every character is predictable, man children thinking they can save the world. Even boss lacks depth, just like every other cliche boss in a average story. Every fight is alike, repetitive. When every boss was at their last HP, it just became way stronger than before, then what's the point of fighting at the first place? Every time player fights a good fight, a CG would tell you every level you went through is worthless, BORING STORY DICTATES EVERYTHING.
Clive is always thinking like a child, putting the people around him at risk especially jill.
Although FFXV's story was dismembered badly, at least it was epic and moving. This felt like a boring version of Game of thrones. And there were way less things to explore in this world than FFXV's.
The Man from Toronto (2022)
I know i gave it a 10. But hear me out
Come on guys. They made this movie for pure fun, not being serious is exactly the point, being ridiculous is exactly the point. I don't know about you guys, but i really had some stomach-aching laugh watching it. Just kind made my day. Have some laughs everyone.
After Yang (2021)
The shooting was good, the story was weak.
Still appreciating shooting under natural light or real environmental lighting, those looks felt so soothing. But the story didn't feel strong enough, i don't think the history of Yang was powerful enough to shape him into a real human being.
Foundation (2021)
The shots are amazing, you guys MUST watch them in HDR
The stories are a little bit crafty and predictable, nothing too brilliant to blow minds but they are still at least solid and intriguing. The only reason I gave it an 8 is because of the shots, the scenes, the VFX, they are just marvelous and mind-blowing. I watched them on my HDR monitor, they really gave my eyes orgasms after orgasms, it's right up at star-wall-Marvel-or-Nolan level.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
So happy to see Bruce still in the game.
The main story is totally not well built like Mulan, pure Disney shxt, I rate this 7 only for the acting brought by Tony Leung and seeing Bruce in the first post-credit scene.
Love Hard (2021)
I have never thought that Jimmy O'Yang can look this great.
Jimmy O'Yang has always been a funny awkward guy in literally anything, but this one really got him out of that type. He can actually look sweet, handsome and a thing he's been when he was doing his stand-ups, confident.
