Murder Mystery 2 (2023)
Fun and playful
Sandler and Aniston are so fun to watch together and this movie is no different. A lot of reviews here are overly critical but you're not watching a movie like this for an outstanding plot or mind blowing acting. You're watching a movie like this to turn your brain off and have fun laughing at the ridiculous situations, slapstick comedynand oddball humor. This movie absolutely delivers all of those things. I laughed out loud on many occasions and truly enjoyed watching. If you enjoy silly Sandler movies, a bit if purposeful overacting, comical plot twists, quirky characters and fun action scenes this movie is for you.
No Recipe Road Trip with the Try Guys (2022)
Finally on Food Network!
I am so happy the Try Guys finally made it to network television. This show is such a fun concept and really well exicuted. Similar to their 'Without a Recipe' YouTube show but having them visit some of the best restaurants in the country and the second round of competition is a fun little twist for long time fans of the guys. They are keeping their humor and personalities true to who they are, so also nice to see that network tv is not trying to control their creativity or presentation too much. Obviously they are not good cooks for the most part, but that's what makes it fun to watch- someone doing this same concept who actually has culinary training would not be nearly as entertaining to watch.
The Sandman (2022)
A remarkable adaptation
Obviously any screen adaptation will be different from the book / graphic novel (in this case) but nearly all major aspects of the story stayed true. Keeping in mind that you should expect differences, this was a wonderful version with some of its own unique twist and interpretations. The characters were quite well done in their writing, visuals and performance and this is what really makes the series worth watching. Some changes to the story didn't seem necessary but clearly they were made for a reason. No on screen adaptation will ever be perfect but this is nearly there.
