When a Stranger Calls (2006)
Oh dear...
There really isn't much to say about this movie, other than it is not to be taken seriously under any circumstance...But allow me to elaborate.
Well to begin with, it's a remake, now I'm not one of those people that just bash remakes right away and say that's why they are bad movies, but in this ones case, I agree with all the people who bash the remakes. To add to that, the acting is probably some of the worst I've seen in a long time, Camilla Belle, in my opinion, is probably one of the worst actresses Hollywood has to offer right now and I hope to not see her in any serious role again. Then there is the plot, to begin with it's extremely paper-thin with absently no depth, the string of events that are supposed to be "frightening" in the movie made me laugh at wow badly the script was written and how even worse it was performed. Oh and not to mention that terrible ending...
Overall everything in this movie just crashes & burns. The only reason I gave this 3/10 and not a one is because, 1. I give it credit for being so much more entertaining than the original, which was a total bore - 2. Since I found the movie so hilariously stupid, it was very entertaining!
Bad Acting. Bad Script. Worse Ending. Please Avoid if you have something better to do!

The Grudge (2004)
Interesting Remake, with a dark atmosphere
Most people would disagree with my rating of 8/10 because they say that 'The Grudge' is not a very scary horror film, but even though the movie itself is not very terrifying up-front, but it has much more stored inside...
The movie starts with sort of a strange opening that leaves you confused and shocked, but all the more pleased. After the opening to the movie the plot only gets better with the blinding suspense & intertwined stories that keep you wandering until the every end where it all meets together.
The acting for this film is not the greatest there could be, but i think Sarah Michelle pulls her role off quite well. Aside from the acting, the plot is very good because it never really just jumps out and says what's going on in the film, and that is why I like it, because it keeps you guessing and surprised but at the same time very entertained. I must admit the movie itself is not very horrifying the way it is presented but the very dark & strange atmosphere is what does it for me, making the story seem far more terrifying than ever.
Overall, this film is no "Oscar Contender" but it delivers what is expected of a Hollywood horror film, with an even darker setting which emphasized the scare effect, and is very good for what it is.

Ultraviolet (2006)
Depends on what you're looking for...
Well, I know this movie is receiving quite a lot of bashing because of many reason, but I stand by this when I say I didn't think it was that bad. UltraViolet does have many downsides to it, them being, 1. The hilarious diolouge that is expected to be taken seriously. 2. The plot that just turns in many bad directions, but still very entertaining. &3. The "C" grade acting.
Even with those reason I still like this movie for these reasons, I fall for all the amazing Eye Candy this movie has to offer, I think as the plot of more of a "Popcorn Movie" plot and not so much as an epic so when I saw it I went it with an open mind hearing all the bad reviews, and I think all things aside it's a pretty decent flick.
While UltraViolet is no Oscar Winning Film, I think it is more of just a movie to be entertained by with its, great looks & cutting style. Iit's a fast-paced action film that doesn't get boring.
In all, more for fans of Sci-Fi \ Action films that don't criticize films for not being Star Wars...

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
Ehh...Disappointing
I was very disappointed with this movie, I was so excited to see it, but it fell up short to my expectations. I really liked the first film but this one just felt like it didn't live up to it's reputation from the first film. First would be the acting which was a C- at best, you have Johnny who is an outstanding actor, but Orlando Bloom doesn't give enough emotion to make his character believable, and as for Kiera, she's pretty average especially here. Then would be the already complex plot which goes from epic to disastrous in an hour by being so incredibly confusing and just boring at times because you're just lost! But then when you do finally realize whats going on, it still doesn't sell...
So in all, this movie has pretty average acting, great plot which takes a turn for the worse, and amazing special effects. More just an entertaining "Eye Candy" / "Popcorn" movie that you will enjoy if you're looking for fun!

Kids in America (2005)
Extraordinarly Original...Would be an Understatement
Okay I would Just like to start off by saying that I do not write comments for movies very often but this movie just blew me away so I had to...
Kids in America: The story of a group of high school students who believe that their principal is taking away their rights, such as free speech and others, and how they change that all by getting the whole school involved...
A main reason I liked this movie is because it was about a group of high school students who "bridge the gap" of being the regular typical student, they are very outspoken, different, rebellious kids and their actions in the movie such as just getting up out of class to have a protest against their principal in the schoolyard, burning a symbol in the school football field that is extremely negative towards the principal, and just really standing up & fighting against the completely unfair educators they have! Also why I liked this movie is because of the very original and flat out hilarious humor in the movie...
Anyways the message of the movie in my opinion is just simply "Stand up to the higher power!" Because I think that if most kids had the points of view such as the teens in this movie they would be better & happier high school students! In all possibly one of the greatest movies I've ever seen...
Deserves WAY more than the 5.1 it has rite now! 10/10!!!
