The Old Man (2022)
Jeff Bridges was Mesmerizing, and I loved his interaction with his dogs.
The rest of the cast, not so much. Too bad they didn't realize what a talent they wasted by reducing Mr. Bridges part so much and adding all these other people to 90% of each episode. I found myself forwarding past them all to get to the real talent..
Deadly Shores (2018)
OMG
Sadly I will never forget this. It will be burned in my memory until my memory goes, and maybe even after. I'm old enough to remember that Lifetime started out with content that women could be proud of, like There's Something About Amelia, A Cry for Help: The Tracey Thurman Story and The High Price of Passion. It is now mostly painful content and if women are proud of it now then that doesn't say anything positive about "today's woman". Normally I would not be so negative because "I wouldn't even hurt a fly".....;-(
Naked and Afraid: Don't Cave In (2020)
Twig!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought it was great. She was very brave and adventurous. I also love, love, loved her relationship with little twig. How cute was that? I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this.
City of Ember (2008)
Sad but true
I am watching most of this right now. I missed about the first half hour. I find it unbelievable that the great Martin Landau was not at the top of the cast list. He didn't even make page one. I loved the mechanics of finding the way outside. Martin Landau was brilliant...as usual. RIP Martin.
In Sickness and in Health (2012)
Seriously? Laugh Tracks?
I'm watching it now. It feels like I'm watching a bad sitcom. Another reviewer mentioned an annoying background noise, like cars. It is actually a laugh track. It even has a comic relief character like JJ on Good Times. It is distracting me so much that I can barely watch it. Now one of the characters just broke out into song with music backup. I'm dropping it from a 4 to a 2. Updating real time here. OK so I just heard another sound that sounded like mic or speaker feedback. Ok dropping it to where it should be.
Married at First Sight: Afterparty (2022)
Hate the host and format
I use to enjoy watching this show after the new MAFS, but the new host is intolerable. The show is all about her. She preaches instead of listening. Her clear disdain for the female Caucasian (couple) is appalling. Her show is anti what MAFS is all about, which is bringing together all couples equally with the hopes of uniting them. And who cares what she and her celebrity friends think about the show. We want to hear from the couples, not them. Please either bring back the old host or better yet, someone else who has also been through this experience. I will pass on this version.
