9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
I miss the old days, this isn't my show and I'm so so sad
What even is this. I'm baffled.
I'm sorry but the people in charge of this season clearly have only watched a couple of episodes or have completely no idea who the characters are.
Can we talk about Buck? Can we PLEASE talk about Buck? What is going on????? This isn't Buck. The Buck who waited MONTHS for Abby and didn't sleep or even think about anyone else???? Even if he's lying to himself about his feelings for Taylor he would have NEVER cheated and then, even worst, pretend like it never happened and lie straight to her face. I don't even like her and I'm mad!
Also it's very VERY funny how Lucy was introduced having a similar emergency to Eddie's in 2.01. And yet, even if Buck and Eddie have build an amazing relationship (family, I should say) and they're pretty much made for each other at this point, we get told that we're delusional and they "just friends", but as soon as Lucy comes in they kiss on DAY ONE.
What did we do to deserve a Taylor-Buck-Lucy love triangle storyline??? That is SO boring and literally out of character.
Meanwhile my man Eddie is struggling! His storyline was probably the thing that "saved" (big word) the episode. I think his speech to Bobby was harsh (and clearly this whole thing is a recycled plot from 3A) but I do understand that he's losing his grip and lashing out because he's in denial. It was out of place but I forgive him for that. It's just so insane to me that they're putting Buck in this love triangle storyline while Eddie is ALONE and falling to pieces. I don't know, it doesn't add up.
Also, great job writers! Introducing a new female character and making her a love interest in her first episode. GREAT! What a way to make the audience dislike her right away. I'm sorry but I do not care about her and her backstory when there's characters we know nothing about basically.
Give me Ravi! Give me Albert! Give me Karen!!!!! Anyone but a new random character we're supposed to care about.
Don't really know what else to say. Just hope Maddie and Chim can save this season because it's looking BAD.
9-1-1: Ghost Stories (2021)
where is eddie diaz
See what happens when you don't show Eddie Diaz in an episode?
I'm sorry but this was just a mess.
Taylor isn't an important enough character to have a whole storyline in an episode so I'm HOPING this was just a set up to her leaving the show. Hope she confronts Buck about her past (the article) and she leaves to become an investigator or whatever, I don't care. Either way, their relationship definitely isn't working and neither are her storylines.
My highlights were Chimney (I have missed him SO much. The sooner Maddie comes back the better for everyone - and the show) and Karen. The rest was just MEH. Also glad this Harry storyline is finally over.
Not even gonna talk about the fact that this was supposed to be a fun lighthearted episode according to the promo and we got the opposite. This season is just so HEAVY, I was really looking forward to scenes like Ravi scaring Buck, them talking about ghosts or whatever. That whole part was completely cut out of the episode and for what? Taylor Kelly playing detective? No thanks.
I just hope that things can go back to normal after the midseason finale. I miss the old 911.
9-1-1: Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1 (2021)
Loved this episode!
This was for the gays and the gays only!!
Really loved Buck and Eddie's interactions in this episode. The anger in Eddie's eyes when Christopher was threatened and Buck basically taking a hit for him?? That's two parents fighting for their son right there!! Amazing, truly. Let's not even address Buck literally running to Eddie when he hears the gunshot. There's so much love between those two!
I really enjoyed also Hen's storyline (very proud of her) and Ravi's. I feel like he's really integrating in the team and i love to see it, although i DO miss Chim a lot and i hope he and Maddie come back soon!
The scene between Buck and Taylor was... awkward and uncomfortable as usual. Either she's up to something or the chemistry between those two is dead..
Less Taylor, more Ravi!
9-1-1: Lone Star: Slow Burn (2021)
lone star or the owen show??
OWEN OWEN OWEN EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS ABOUT OWEN. You know what? I'm tired. Very very tired. This is not what I signed up for and most definitely not what the show promised. I feel sorry for all the other characters who seems very interesting but i'm done wasting my time watching owen do whatever so that the attention can be on him. Did they forget that this is supposed to be a firefighter show?? And also, VERY IMPORTANT: The suicide scene was uncalled for and unnecessarily graphic, especially since there was absolutely no trigger warning at the beginning of the episode. That's very ignorant of them and disrespectful towards people who have dealt with stuff like this or all the kids who watch the show. No, i'm done supporting this. DO BETTER and maybe i'll come back.
9-1-1: Breaking Point (2021)
big no for me
I don't understand the need to rush this thing with eddie and ana when they clearly have no chemistry and we've seen time and time again (especially in this episode) that she isn't the right person for eddie and that someone else is already filling that spot for christopher too. it's not about seeing things that aren't there anymore because they are there, in plain sight for everybody to notice. everyone was so out of character, eddie most of all. and buck using taylor to avoid the awkwardness with veronica and albert?? what was that all about??
9-1-1 is one of my favourite shows ever but this episode was extremely disappointing and i'm sad they decided to leave us for six weeks with THIS.
Unicorn Store (2017)
