Boy Erased (2018)
EDUCATIONAL, HONEST, AND PAINFUL
I decided to see this movie because I wanted to learn about ConversionTherapy. I got that and much much more. The casting was great and the acting realistic and honest. Lots of pain and mental suffering
when the teenager comes out to his parents. The script walked us thru his and his parents agony. Joel
Edgerton is the director and has a dual role as an actor in the movie . I learned far too much about this
Intelectually dishonest Conversion Therapy. Unfortionally for me this movie forced me to relive my own
crisis as a teenager, coming out to my parents. It stirred up long forgotten or suppressed memories.
This movie more than others brought out not just the pain of coming out but showed the pain and
suffering that two parents had to go thru. I could now realize what my parents suffered thru me.
Maybe the most important thing the movie did was shine a bright light on the damage done to
young people with Conversion Thearpy and that might lead to more States banning it. I want to congratulate all those envolved in the acting and produceing of this outstanding movie.

The Happy Prince (2018)
Bleek Ending
The movie was very well done. The acting and script excellent. I was struck by such a tragic ending to such a brilliant person. I stayed to the end but found the movie very painful to watch. I never leave a movie until the end. The saddest part is that Oscar destroyed himself.

Little Known History
I read a good review in the paper. Since my mother and her family grew up in Benson Arz. I had a personal interest. I taped stories by my grandfather about his early days in Arizona but he never mentioned this part
Of history. He was there when it happened. He worked in a mine and later on the El Paso & Southwestern
Railroad. Perhaps he was embarrassed to talk about it.
I thought the movie was very well done. The towns people made good actors. The story was a real human
Interest story. It was so wrong to deport the striking miners. My today's standards it would have been a huge crime. According to my grandfather Southern Arizona was rough quite lawless. Vigalanties and
Gun fights like Hollywood movies have depicted for decades.. I am sorry this movie did not get wide
Coverage.
