Aftersun (2022)
i am him
I have two daughters and recently got divorced. I know how it hurts to put on a fake smile while deep inside your heart is bleeding. As a father, a man, you try to look strong and resilient, to keep your children worry-free, but every time the girls are not around you feel like an empty shell. This movie made me cry because I know how it feels to be Callum. I know how hard it is to leave your precious children behind and to be torn away from your family. Leaving behind beautiful memories and slowly drifting apart from your loved ones. It's very hard to move on and I hope to experience better days in the future.
Presque (2021)
What a wonderful journey
I love movies where people embark on a journey that changes them due to the experiences they encounter. There are a few movies of this genre and this one doesn't fail. I loved the acting of Igor and also every actor involved. The story is beautiful and shows how fast we are to judge the other that is different than us without trying to see beyond the physical world and limitations. At the end of the day we are all human beings seeking for love and happiness and so often we miss opportunities due to our judgmental nature. This movie is a reminder for empathy, kindness and open mindedness and I highly recommend watching it.
The Mosquito Coast (2021)
I wish I was Ali!
This family is what resilience is all about and Ali is second to none, I kind of wish I was him. Each episode is packed with action and content and even though the chapters are quite long I found myself watching them with anticipation. The acting is great and the story is realistic and interesting. I highly recommend this series and watched some of the chapters twice and three times just because I wanted my wife to synchronize with the story so we'll watch the next episodes together. One of the best things in this series is the way the characters evolve over time and become one team that can deal with any challenge they may encounter.
Blonde (2022)
Ignore the low ratings, it's quite good!
I don't understand how people leave the lowest reviews possible like 1 and 2 for this movie. Okay, I get it, you're fed up with the story of MM so called tragedies and abuse by most of the men she ever met. Just watch this movie without prejudice and judge it as
It is. I liked it and I also believe that it's still relevant in 2022 for some unfortunate women and men. Father issues, depression, motherhood, low self esteem, naivety, loneliness, abuse. I can definitely relate to some. The acting is quite good too. Overall, I recommend this movie, much better than most of the junk I see recently. Watch and judge for yourself.
Interceptor (2022)
I can't believe they make such bad movies
Wow, I can't understand how such bad movies are made in 2022, isn't it a waste of time and money? Doesn't anyone tell the producers to abort? So few movies are worth watching nowadays. Sad.
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Oscar winner?
I really have no idea how this happened. I don't see a reason to give this movie an Oscar for any category. It's not that it's bad but definitely not Oscar worthy IMHO.
Severance (2022)
A Flawless Masterpiece
Finally a TV show that comes with the rare combination of great actors, great script and flawless editing. This is why I still have hopes for TV.
Love love love this series, a flawless masterpiece.
I envy the creative people behind this production, so talented and creative.
Vigil (2021)
Disappointing
The plot is nonsense and packed with holes and the acting is mediocre. It's a reasonable series if you are bored and have nothing better to do though. There are better ways to spend your time. Gave up after four chapters, blame my wife.
Pieces of Her (2022)
Meh
Started watching this because of the initial reviews, rating 8.1.
After watching the first 4 episodes I said to myself, no way this deserves 8.1.
Checked a DAY LATER (today) and the reviews dropped to 6.8. The first 300 or so reviewers were probably incentivized to leave a high review one way or another.
Not suspenseful enough, too slow and not my cup of tea.
W lesie dzis nie zasnie nikt II (2021)
OMG+WTF+WOW
Wow, this must be the worst movie I have ever watched. It's like "hey buddy, let's make a movie about scary things, forget about a plot, let's start shooting and we'll figure it out, trust me on this one"
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Not as provocative as expected
This is not as provocative as they want this to be. Many books and stories have the same genre of "all humans are capable of doing bad things when pushed too hard".
The One (2021)
Starts well but goes downhill
The script is nice but the acting is somewhat embarrassing. Some chapters are really bad while others are ok.
Black Christmas (2019)
Wow, probably the worst movie I have ever seen
Sorry but this is one bad movie. So bad. Full of editorial mistakes, bad acting and nothing good to say.
1917 (2019)
A movie to remember
So rare nowadays to watch a movie that has good actors and a good script. Sometimes I think that one out of ten movies is worth watching. 1917 is really really good and. Highly recommend watching it, thank me later.
Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer (2019)
Highly recommended
Honestly, I didn't see it coming. Thought to myself "a series about a cat killer?" I love cats but still. Towards the end of the first episode, I realized that we're dealing with a disturbed dude...I don't watch TV that much but enjoyed this short series very much.
