Anne (2017)
There's a new Anne in town!
I'm 40. I grew up reading all L.M.Montgomery books few times and watching all Anne of Green Gables films. When I heard that Netflix made new Anne I was not even interested. As far as I was concerned there was only one Anne and it was Megan Follows. There could NOT be another Marilla, another Matthew, another Gilbert. How dare they?? So I watched the new Anne around a year after it was available only because I was bored and there was nothing more on Netflix I found appealing at the time. That was yesterday. And to say the least I just can't stop watching, I fell completely and hopelessly in love with the new series. I love new Anne so much I don't care how far away they wandered from the actual books. Everyone's acting is brilliant, but Amybeth McNulty is absolutely fantastic. She creates a proper teenager, with all tantrums and drama. I also dare to say the character is on autistic spectrum, never fitting and always speaking up her mind. Together with the new storyline the filmakers create a true account of a victorian life in Avonlea, not sparing us any dark and unpleasant details which makes this production so different from the previous sweetened version of Anne, making it so more valuable! Of course I'm only sharing my opinion but as far as I'm concerned I'm really happy I gave the new Anne a chance. She has just stolen my heart.
Rellik (2017)
Brilliant show
This show is exceptional, all people complaining that it was too confusing maybe should just stick to CSI or Castle, where they don't have to involve their thinking too much. Rellik's concept is different to what we are usually served with, the whole show is going back in time to "understand motives" and it's brilliantly executed. The story unwinds slowly leading to a surprising and brilliant ending, or should I say beginning? Performance, visuals, even soundtrack are stunning. Watch it if you are not easily put off by bit of a challenging concept of playing with time. And it seriously isn't confusing at all, providing you are an intelligent human being who isn't too lazy to engage their gray matter a little;)
