We don't see a lot of diversity in the lead characters of romance films so this one needs to be acknowledged and supported. We want more diverse stories that follow the same feel good formula.

Battling chefs mixed with Christmas is a recipe for a good time! This is just an adorable, sweet film that will give you all the feels.

This movie isn't sunshine and roses, it is about a real romance that includes divorce and illness. BUT like any good romance there is still a happily ever after. The mural in the film is beautiful and Kimberly-Sue Murray shows a lot of range in this film.

This is a great film about being there for others during the holidays. There are so many children in need and this film celebrates the kindness of strangers.

I think we can all relate to travel delays and frustrations but I wouldn't think to add romance to the mix. Most romances are based in unrealistic scenarios but this one could really happen! I am going to keep my eyes peeled the next time I'm at the car rental line.

Who wouldn't want to be swept away to Paris for the holiday! This is the quintessential Harlequin romance you want to escape with. The scenes in Paris are stunning and their chemistry is on point!

This is based on the Harlequin novel, Marooned with a Maverick and the producers did an excellent job on the adaptation. There is so much passion that comes through that you just can't get off the page. Newcomer Madeleine Leon is one to watch!

There are a lot of horse properties out there for young girls to watch, but there isn't one around rescue. I didn't even know that rescue horse ranches existed. The lead character Skye starts an after school club at her family's ranch with her schoolmates to look after the horses. The series teaches responsibility and empathy towards animals. It is a great series for girl 6-9 years-old. It is available on Netflix.

This is such a fun, playful holiday movie. Who doesn't want to see Trish Stratus wield an axe? We don't see a lot of Canadian themed romance films so this was a joy to watch.

I loved this holiday film, it is such a fresh take on the genre. When have you seen a jewel heist in romance film, watch out Lupin! It is now on Netflix and has been on a ton of holiday top 10 lists. It is definitely one to add to your holiday watch list.

Kaitlyn and Nick are back for the sequel to Christmas With a Prince!! The first movie is such a delight and the sequel doesn't disappoint. It is a modern real life Cinderella. I hope they make a third with a baby!

This is such a great series! The Clarkson siblings takeover their mother's wedding planning business and in each episode they plan a new wedding. The episodes have great guest stars and are the perfect escapism viewing.

Lanette Ware and Yanic Truesdale are hilarious rivals and provide some very memorable scenes.

This romance will thaw any frozen heart! I love rom-coms set in different locations, Alaska doesn't get enough love. The connection is so strong between Sarah Podernski and Victor Zinck you can feel it through the screen.

This movie combines my two favourite things, the holidays and weddings! I can't believe no one made this movie before. There is a lot of eye candy in this but Kelly Rutherford just made this movie for me. If you are missing Gossip Girl then this will scratch that itch.

Men should add Nick Hounslow's abs to their Christmas wish list, lol! Kaitlyn Leeb is just adorable in everything she acts in. She has the right balance of strength and vulnerability. She's all business in this at the start and then softens to the Prince's charms. This is a beautiful film about front line workers helping others during the holidays with a side of romance.

I loved the Harlequin book so I was super excited to see it adapted into this holiday gem. I think it shares an important message of letting go. We put up so many walls that get in the way of love and these characters are able to break them all down and find their happily ever .

This is the third instalment in the "A Very Country" trilogy. Don't you just love a rom-com trilogy? If you liked A Very Country Christmas and A Very Country Wedding then you will adore this film. The paparazzi are back to put a wrench in their post honeymoon plans. These two are really in the grove and their chemistry really shows on screen.

I love a complicated musician story. Those damn tours always get in the way of love! In the sequel to A Very Country Christmas, Zane gets his prioritizes mixed up and learn what his real passion is. These two are just adorable together and Deana Carter is a delight!

Heartland fans will love Amber Marshall in this adorable rom-com. She gets to renovate a historic winery with the hunky Eric Hicks, pour a glass and unwind.

Who doesn't love a star connecting to their roots? Don't we all really just want to go home and feel the love. Greyston Holt and Bea Santos are adorable together and Deana Carter is a sheer delight to watch on screen.

This has the trifecta of rom-com heavy hitters, Lauren Holly, Morgan Fairchild and Jodie Sweetin! They give you exactly what you want, laughs, tears and a lot of sass.

How can you not love Laura Vandervoort in an adorable take on The Holiday? This is the perfect movie to do some winter escapism. Plus you get to enjoy the hilarious Yanic Truesdale, he cracks me up, lol!
