Airborne (2013)
The Farce is strong in this one...
The producer must have fotos of Hamill rodgering a Giraffe or something. No way Luke read that script or would have taken this gig under normal circumstances. It is first year student territory....not Film school student...cooking perhaps, joinery maybe.
Anyway, it is so bad it is worth a watch. And for those of you of a certain vintage...did you notice the music incidentals and sound effects were all from the same ripped CD collection from back in the day? Every single one. Took me back to my days of Sony Vegas and a camcorder with a disc in it...man...good times.
Mark Hamill seems a very mercurial character these days , doesn't seem relaxed at all...perhaps he did make this awful junk for a giggle.
Midnight Mass (2021)
slow, plodding, politically correct.
Not the worst. Cut it to 4 episodes to leave out all the filler...would have been ok. Plus, stop force feeding us your loony left version of society. Get on with the story instead of ticking all your diversity boxes....yawn. Still, better than anything I could come up with...so kudos for putting a story together.
I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)
boring beyond belief
Utterly devoid of anything worthy . Even my wife thinks its rubbish...and she is Canadian!
Ad Astra (2019)
boring
You wait and wait...and wait. And wait. For something to happen. Folk will say...oh you don't understand, its slow burn etc etc. Nope. Just plain old boring.
The Village in the Woods (2019)
smoke machine star of the show
The billowing from the smoke/fog machine was terrible. I'm not knocking up and comers for making a movie...you gotta start somewhere. Its just no good. Very exposition heavy where the actors have to give long speeches to spell out what is actually happening. Its like a long-ish episode of Hammer House of Horror tv series. That was ok in the seventies but not now.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
dire
Boring, terrible CGI, just visual fluff. That is all.
The Axiom (2018)
good for pizza Saturday
Not looking for anything but a good horror flick for my Saturday pizza scoff. I enjoyed this movie, it doesn't have any pretensions and they made the most of it. The only thing that bothered me was the comedy continuity with the lead man's shirt. The blood moved about and varied from...i have had a small scratch...to...i've been shot in the heart. To give this movie a 1 or 2 rating is mean spirited. And it is nowhere near ...worst film ever or other such guff. Its a solid movie.
A Sound of Thunder (2005)
A sound of Chunder
Well, there are so many other comments out there that hit the nail on the head I should not need to add to them.But....I had read this book in school 20 years back and was hugely looking forward to seeing this flick. Its a disaster..so many awful things. The effects are risible and yes...at one point, though you don't see it...you just know they are walking on a treadmill..honest!!If you've seen the movie , you'll know exactly what I am talking about. As for the token black dudes scene talking to himself...what the heck was that all about? And ben Kingsley was not the brilliant actor in this...folks are just saying that because he has a rep.He was just as tosh as the rest...only doing this mince to buy new wallpaper for his house or whatever. having said that, I have given it a 2.If you need something to pass 90 minutes or so and a physical beating is the alternative...you could watch this.
