Extraordinary example of ingenuity in independent cinema
15 April 2023
In this film we find how it is possible to create and develop stories with a minimum budget based on what is essential in cinema, which is precisely to tell stories.

4 stories in the same time frame but with different approaches manage to evade budgetary problems and present a pessimistic vision of the future and, above all, of Humanity, but with an underlying hope in the very essence of the human being.

4 strong stories, well outlined and with strongly motivated characters.

Entertaining film with various proposals that leave room to reflect on the course of our society.

Highly recommended.

Solid stories for an enjoyable horror anthology movie.

The filmmakers are a compact group of skilled storytellers.

Each of them brings us a totally original and creative adventure where we come face to face with our fears.

Some take the form of monstrous beings and others are as human as we are.

But all of them, without exception, put before us our most basic behaviors.

Lust, betrayal, gluttony, selfishness, crime, all together in separate stories.

And special mention for the talent of the promoter of this series of Horrortales.666, Phil Herman, whose vision, tenacity and ability to combine different generations of filmmakers in a project has achieved a compact, seamless and fully enjoyable product.

Highly recommended movie for Halloween and the rest of the year.

A great message

Here we have a movie made like a piece of jewelry. It combines perfectly a touching story were lays a lot of society questions, with an exquisite cinematogrphy with a great use of light and a sensitive color palette.

The music score is at perfect timing with action and enforces the esence of each scene where it appears.

The performances are solid and carries the wight of the personal situation of each character.

The character of Debra Lamb stands out due to the great baggage of dramatic resources of the legendary actress who curiously has stood out in horror movies.

In summary, a very enjoyable film that leaves a pleasant feeling and as if that were not enough, the sincere statement of how we are managing our relationships.

From inside

As a completely new experience in my filmmaker´s story and author of one of the stories, I am able to review this very creative idea from the very inside.

As an old movier watcher and particullary horror genre, I am proud of what can a creative mind like Phil Herman´s could do with an anthology of fear tales.

The movie has a great wrapparound story moving forward by the talent of Joel Wynkoop who gives the perfect timing and acting to a character that has the responsability of not only keep the interest in the following story but joining all of them.

As well as the excellent performance of Jaysen Buterin as the coprotagonist with Joel Wynkoop.

The cameos of each one of the stars and legends that appears are really enjoyable .

My fellow filmmakers as far as I can watched, reveals a high level of imagination and creative ideas, besides of their great talent to build the stories always moving forward to a surprising endings.

And this is an item that horror movie watchers as me, thank strongly.

Strange behaviours, humour, gore, blood, boobs and lot of fun makes a great anthology.

Proud of have been a part of this great talents reunion.

A brave exercise of cinema
10 February 2020
If there is something that should be put at the top of the list of qualities of an independent movie, it is the courage to raise complex issues with minimum resources. The question of resources makes the filmmaker become a brave thinker and that is what Clayton Thompson shows. In my opinion, the filmmaker managed with success the tension in the plot throughout the film. I really enjoyed his descent into madness. Great job. Recommended movie.

Great very disturbing stories
27 October 2019
This movie will be remembered because of the originality shown in the scripts and the never fallen rythm of the tense in each one, which takes the stories into blowing-mind endings. If you have ever watched a horror independent movie, you will probably know that if it is a multi story film, some will be boring and some not. The great achievement of Morbid Stories is the homogenization of quality, making all interesting and forceful. The Directors are very efficient and you can see this in the final performances of actors, who carry with the very difficult task of make their character believable in a extremely difficult genre. Their work is great and we can fully enjoy the situations that the characters have to live. All this makes the stories success in its task of scaring us and worrying us.

Highly recommendable
