The Holiday Fix Up (2021)
A night at the movies with popcorn!
This is a nice TV movie with interesting characters, a different take on the tried-and-true trope and some very funny lines and situations. Whether they realize it or not, both of the main characters need to grow to get the 'storybook' ending we love so much and it is why we munch our buttered popcorn in anticipation.
As with many holiday movies, some of the resolution seems rushed and implausible but that is what we want and what we expect from holiday films.
Ryan M and Jana K deliver on CHEMISTRY as does Maria M and Rob. Snappy dialog well-delivered and well-acted.
Record it while you eat your popcorn and watch it again.
The Winter Palace (2022)
Wanted to like it, but....
Danica and Bledsoe had more chemistry in an earlier movie....and a better script. Bledsoe is watchable in this one but Danica is hard to watch. Her scenes feel rushed or incomplete.
I expect she will do better in her next effort.
Cannot recommend this one.
Christmas with the Darlings (2020)
Tell it like it is
This movie is well-scripted, well-acted and a great addition to the list of holiday films. It may be difficult for some parents to explain some of the things that the kids see. Don't let that stop you. The kids can see worse on the evening news.
What they will see is family LOVE and how LOVE changes both adults and children when given time to work its magic.
Justice League (2017)
Don't be picky!
This was a fun movie! I finished my first bag of popcorn and wanted another. Why is it that people expect a movie about a comic book to be more? That type of movie exists but is an exception.
This is a fun movie!! Enjoy!! It is not too late!
