The Lost Viking (2018)
Romans vs Vikings?
Low budget affair with some decent acting in places with notable fight sequences. However they certainly got their history wrong with this title! We have Romans making Vikings fight to the death! There is no mention of a fantasy mash up anywhere in the film where clans of completely different time periods could co-inhabit and battle it out.
Apparently one of the actors was in Game of Thrones so there's merit in that, quite a good film, boring and stagnant in many places but I must commend the few and far between fight scenes, they were quite hard hitting and believable.
Alien: Covenant (2017)
STOP Butchering the Alien Licence
Absolutely tripe, pure tripe. Completely retconnig the alien lore for the worse.
TERRIBLE FILM.
1/10
Colin (2008)
Cost only £40? It shows!
I don't believe this production cost a total of £40 to produce, while it does feel like the film did cost nothing to make what about the electricity costs in the edit process alone?
Atrocious film to be frank, very unwatchable by the absurdly shakey hand held camera approach, needless jerky for no reason.
Got to a point where I could not stomach any more, the terrible acting and camera on a spring brought me to my knees!
1/10 please don't make any more zombie films.
Magpie (2013)
Marc Price at it again!
Marc Price known for crating very cheap movies, his claim to fame being 'Colin' a zombie movie made apparently on just £40?
Well he we have it again although better this attempt, a cheap no thrills production with an interesting concept let down by average cinematography with a mixed bag cast.
An improvement from his last film which is quite charming in sections I feel with more experience and budget this director/producer could eventually go places.
5/10 Average for the most part but I can see a faint promise.
Keep at it just stop shaking the camera so much.
Viking Siege (2017)
Attack of the tree beasts?
!BUYER BEWARE!
This is NOT a serious film, DO NOT believe the marketing into thinking this movie is about vikings or the famous siege of Paris in 845, this film is pure fictional and quite frankly bananas!
Luckily I do like a low budget movie from time to time, 'Viking Siege' must be one of the cheapest produced movies out there! I do believe this perhaps to be intentional by the developers among with the sheer amounts of ham passed around the actors, super cheap special effects which boils down to ketchup 'everywhere' with surprisingly a half decent soundtrack.
SO why is this film called Viking Siege? Where is the sieging?
I did enjoy it to be fair, some odd pacing issues toward the middle but I had fun with it. Leave your expectations at the door and you should be able to get through this, this is not for the serious of heart out there, I repeat this film does NOT take itself seriously.
5/10 Oodles that could be improved but a forgivable attempt for a first time director.
Less ham next time, ok?
