Silver Bullet (1985)
A King's Version of the Wolfman
The Plot: In Stephen King's thrilling adaptation of his novelette, Cycle of the Werewolf, the peaceful town of Tarker's Mills is suddenly terrorized by a maniacal killer. The townsfolk think a madman is on the loose, but a wheelchair-bounding 13 year old (Corey Haim - The Lost Boys) knows the truth... A werewolf is on the hunt. With his Uncle Red's (Gary Busey - The Buddy Holly Story) help, young Marty Coslaw sets out to stop the half-man/half-beast before he sinks his teeth into another innocent victim. Now, time is ticking... and the full moon is rising.
My Spiel: Part human. Part wolf. Total Terror. "SILVER BULLET" this movie is a older horror/thriller. What can be said for this movie is its unique blend of the classic ways to kill a werewolf. But when a 13 year old kid claims the killer of all these murders in there small town, is a creature he saw lighting fire crackers and hurt it. He knows no one will believe him except his sister, and tries desperately to persuade his Uncle (Busey) to believe in him. This is a neat tale from a different angle on the classic werewolf tale. I really enjoyed many scenes in this, granted there is some ridicules parts. But for 1985 we can possible excuse that, well I can, I still enjoy watching this I like the older Jane narrating the story along something that adds a element of fantasy/reality to the movie.

True Lies (1994)
This movie will not disappoint in the least!
The Plot: (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a special agent Harry Tasker - although to his wife Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis), he's just a boring computer salesman. When Harry's two lives unexpectedly collide, both he and Helen find themselves in the clutches of international terrorists fighting to save not only their marriage, but their lives. Directed by James Cameron and crammed with incredible special effects, True Lies is an exhilarating mix of non-stop action and romantic comedy.
My Spiel: In one of the best spy/agent movies I have seen with the hands down sweet special effects for the time, and constant action. Arnold Schwarzenegger playing America's best operatives, spies, commandos, no matter how you classify him, he's a true bad ass. I highly enjoyed this movie and the way Arnold portrayed his character, when he finds his wife trying to cheat/leave him, but due to his government assets puts a halt to Helens plans, of what she believes is living a dull life. The good sides to this flick, if you are a Arnold action run and gun lovers, this movie will not disappoint in the least. In a time of enemy countries with the thought of bringing and importing nukes into this country (United States). As for the Negatives there isn't much to bitch about except the Uzi bit with Helen, but I have learned to let that slide over the years. But every time the main terrorist falls on the left side of the missile on the Harrier jet "Your Fired!" gets me pumped up that was truly a excellent conclusion to this Arnold movie. Something truly fresh and original at the time, and still entertains this person! True Lies (1994)

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000)
A Vampire Masterpiece Stylish Animation!
The Plot: D has been hired to track down Meier Link, a notoriously powerful vampire who has abducted a Human woman, Charlotte Elbourne. D's orders are strict - find Charlotte, at any cost. For the first time, D faces serious competition. The Markus Brothers, a family of Vampire Hunters, were hired for the same bounty. D must intercept Meier and conquer hostile forces on all sides in a deadly race against time. Despised by Vampires for his profession and by Humans for the blood in his veins, D relentlessly pursues his prey for a price.
My Spiel: Simply put this is a truly great epic anime. The animation in this piece is very well put together a notch above many animes I have seen and I have seen my fair share. This has many levels of story behind it from discrimination, trust, revenge, and love. I am a fan of the first Vampire Hunter D anime, and had to say this was actually better then the first. Which is apparent with the quality of work that went into creating this masterpiece called bloodlust from the fight scenes to the over all feel of the movie truly astonishing a high grade animation. I highly recommend this anime to anyone who is a fan of Vampire/Anime/Swords/Action/Sci-fi/Horror. Vampire Hunter D: Blood Lust is a anime I am proud to recommend to others to watch.

WALL·E (2008)
WALL E set for a mature Audience.
Plot: A lonely robot named WallE is the only thing living on earth with a cock roach as his only friend. WallE is doing his job which is cleaning up trash and compacting it, and also collecting random materials he thinks is important. Thinking there is something more out there and that he is missing something. Then out of the blue a futuristic robot named E.V.E. resembles a crystal clean white IPod robot shows up with her own objectives. Which then leads to WallE going into space and beyond, and finds out he is more important then ever.
My Spiel: I really don't want to give this movie away. This actually is a touching story of how we might see are self's (Human Race) in the future, and how all might have been lost without the help of a little old robot to show us. From a animation/story stand point this movie is a step above about anything else Pixar has come out with. I really liked the position/style of how you honestly felt sorry for these robots with human emotions. Something the people at Pixar do a great job of making you fall in love with their characters (Cars, Monsters, and Fish). I truly urge any one to see this movie, but I honestly believe this story is set for the adult age, granted it has all the children elements, but there were 3 little girl's in the theater when I saw this and they spent most of the time running around and out of hearing distance, and obviously lost attention in this movie. But don't let that scare you away from seeing this, WallE is a great movie for a person like me if it makes children leave and not bother you is A's in my book! But fear not this movie really had a tremendous story that was much greater then just one character, which was truly amazing and had something I could completely get behind! Being a artist and from a animation stand point this is a evolution in cinematic brilliance and is up there with not just animation great movies, but all movies, and WallE truly deserves your time! WallE (2008) Review: 9/10
Wanted (2008)
A Movie I can watch again and again!
Plot: What starts out as a normal cubical working pansy Wesley (James McAvoy). But then finds out from a beautiful girl assassin named Fox (Angelina Jolie) that his father didn't die when he was very young, But died that day and was one of the worlds best assassins in the world, and worked for a secret organization. Now the organization wants Wesley to join to kill his fathers killer.
My Spiel: From movies like Shoot 'Em Up, and your normal run and gun movies. This is a step above them from a actual story that you can relate to. With a main character that is wasting his life at a crappy job, and a girl friend who cheats on him with his best friend. Wesley finds out that his panic attacks aren't that at all, but a special gift to enhance and slow down time, And give him special abilities that a small fraction of the world have. A tale of revenge and a lot of sweet death scenes to very cool death shots. The acting in this, I really enjoyed and having Morgan Freeman in this doesn't hurt. I was so glad because at a point in the movie I thought a "To be continued" messages was going to pop up. Then we would never know what happened to Wesley and his true enemy. This is a movie about truly getting even with all your enemies. Wanted (2008)

Yôjû toshi (1987)
Wicked Good Fun!
The Plot: There is earth, our familiar world, and then there is the Black World, a parallel dimension that very few people are aware of. For centuries, a pact between the two worlds has been observed to maintain peace, and terms must be negotiated and renewed soon to continue the relative harmony. This time around, there is a militant faction that will stop at nothing to prevent the signing of a new treaty for inter-dimensional peace. Two agents of the elite organization known as the Black Guards-defenders of the balance between the two worlds-are charged with insuring the success of the treaty. Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll) blends stylish eroticism, graphic horror and pulse-pounding action as these two race to consummate the peace treaty in time.
My Spiel: Wicked City was a mind blowing shape shifting animation of greatness the first time I saw it. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Wicked City has a certain style just like (NINJA SCROLL) But with this it was bringing the city element to life. As well as shape shifting monsters from the Black World to life. WC contains tons of blood shed and violence, and quite a bit of nudity and sexual scenes, but don't let that disturb you this is a well crafted anime from the story to the point it is trying to get across. I just remember after watching this the first time I thought nothing can beat that, then I saw Ninja Scroll which was even better. But Wicked City is a great double movie feature with Ninja Scroll I have to say those are 2 of my top 10 favorite Animes because of the impact that hit me after watching them one after another.
Wicked City (1987) Review: 9/10
Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005)
Space style in the sense of Jumanji adventure
The Plot: In this heart-racing science fiction adventure, ZATHURA, two squabbling brothers are propelled into deepest, darkest space while playing a mysterious game discovered in the basement of their old house, On their fantastic journey, they are joined by a stranded astronaut and must survive meteor showers, hostile lizard-like aliens, a rocket-propelled robot who runs amok and an intergalactic spaceship battle. Unless the finish the game and reach the planet Zathura, they could be trapped in outer space forever.
My Spiel: I have to say I actually enjoyed this movie, going into I was expecting much. Just thought it would be a rip off of Jumanji but set in space (which it very well is Jumanji 2: in space). But this movie had elements that weren't in the Jumanji movie. I enjoyed the nice visual takes on the Zathura adventures. I have to say the bickering between the brothers was funny. I guess because I have a older brother and I can relate. The comedy in this movie sets the mood and raises the level of the movie, something enjoyable for the whole family to enjoy this movie.
End Result: From the creator of Iron Man. This is a creative look at a space style in the sense of Jumanji adventure a good family movie, with a different kind of space action.

Tristan + Isolde (2006)
I Silent Medevil Style Masterpiece
The Plot: From executive producer Ridley Scott (Gladiator) comes a sweeping, action-packed saga of epic battles, political intrigue and forbidden passion, set in a time when the lines between heroism and savagery were etched in fire and carved out with broadswords. After the fall of Rome, visionary warlord Marke (Rufus Sewell) seeks to unite the squabbling English tribes to form one strong nation and defeat the brutal Irish king Donnchadh. But when Lord Marke's greatest and most loyal knight, Tristan (James Franco), falls in love with Isolde (Sophia Myles), a beautiful Irish woman, it threatens to destroy the fragile truce and ignite a war. In the spirit of Braveheart and A knight's tale, Tristan + Isolde is a rousing tale of trust and treachery that will leave you breathless and wanting more! My Spiel: Before Romeo & Juliet, there was Tristan + Isolde. Is something to say, I watched this not expecting much but got a cross between Gladiator meets true passion and the wanting of something that either Tristan & Isolde can never have. This is a story that moved me because of the reality that this could of happened. I have to say casting James Franco was a great idea, and that I have been a fan of his from the (Spiderman). But Back to this movie the over all feel left you caught up in something that was so tragic, that strayed you away from the traditional Hollywood everybody lives happily ever after, and everyone gets the girl they want "Thank God"! Going the way they did gave it major kudos in my book. The Fights and battles, and story were simply well done. I wouldn't want to give away this movie but I urge anyone who liked "Gladiator or Braveheart" to watch this! This easily deserves a spot as one of the best medieval style movies I have seen.
Tristan + Isolde (2006) Review: 9/10
Rounders (1998)
Best playing cards movie I have ever seen!
The Plot: Academy Award Matt Damon (The Bourne Movies) and Edward Norton (Incredible Hulk) star in this story of passion, risk and the extreme price of friendship! After losing a high-stakes card game, Mike (Damon) gives up gambling for law school and a fresh start with his girlfriend (Gretchen Mol - Cradle Will Rock). but then his best buddy (Norton) gets out of prison and in over his head with a ruthless card shark (John Malkovich - Being John Malkovich). From there, Mike's strong sense of loyalty - and the lure of the game - draws him back to the tables in a game he cannot afford to lose! Also starring John Turturro (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) and Oscar winner Martin landau (Ed Wood) My Spiel: Easily one of the best Card playing movies these eyes have ever scene. This it a terrific movie and stars 2 powerful actors (Damon & Norton). I have quoted from this movie with my brother a lot. Both of us are big fans of this movie. Some of the best parts are John Malkovich's acting and how he talks it's simply amazing. This is truly the ups and downs of no limit Texas hold 'em brought to the big screen. The acting is nothing but perfect and I have constantly watched this and every time it's just as good as the first. If you thought "21 (2008)" was the best movie about playing cards, you are sadly mistaken. A must watch for any one! Rounders in the game of life.....Play the cards you're dealt.
Rounders (1998) Review: 9/10
I, Robot (2004)
I Robot a Decent Action Sci Fi Future Film!
The Plot: Superstar Will Smith rages against the machines in this mind-blowing, sci-fi action thriller! When a scientist (James Cromwell) is found dead, robophobic detective Del Spooner (Smith) suspects an advanced robot committed the murder. According to the Three Laws of Robotics, however, robot can't harm a human-but rules were meant to be broken! This suspenseful tale of the future questions whether technology will ultimately lead to mankind's salvation....or annihilation.
My Spiel: I Robot with a mix of Terminator and the star power of having the comedic edge of Will smith, this movie is sure to be fun. I am a big Will Smith fan so starting off I knew I would like this film. Its your basic tale of Robots trying to take over due to are arrogance in bestowing to much power to them. I like the story and style of how Will Smith's character is the only one who hates robots and thinks they can't be trusted what so ever, because of a accident that injured him and scared him for life. The movie is full of humor and constant robot destruction. But this is a must watch for any Will Smith fans. I was truly pleased with the over all feel of this movie and is one I watch from time to time.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Indiana Jones and the attack of the Crazy Monkies!
Plot: Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is back for more adventure. Being captured into helping the Soviet's find a artifact that will lead them to a hidden alien inspired kingdom. With the help of a young kid named Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) and a old girl friend (Karen Allen). Action is sure to ensue.
My Spiel: This movie was at times very slow, and I truly wanted to be amazed like I was with the very first Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. But what do you expect with a lead actor that's older then my dad trying to do stunts at a action/adventure type level, but gave a valiant effort. But I enjoyed only the little things in this movie. I was just trying to stay entertained, but really couldn't get into it as much as I wanted. Granted this movie is fun, and can be watched again. There were times I was like its getting better, and then something ridicules would happen, from the Mutt and monkey part (if you have seen the movie you know what I'm talking about). I 'm not trying to spot all the movie flaws but that was just crazy. This movie just lacked that huge wow factor I was looking for. Granted it was cool to see the reference to the Ark in the warehouse. Most of the story was very predictable I knew the end, and also how Indy was basically going to escape from everything. I know I am ripping into this movie, but like I said I only like the little things from some of the witty bad boy acting of Mutt, and the reactions of Indy from time to time, but not always. But what was nice was to see Karen Allen back again, surly they were trying to duplicate the success of the First film but fell short.
End Result: Let me just say this movie racked in 800 million dollars world wide in box office showing, "That is Insane" Considering this is obviously the worst of the 4 films. From the ridicules non-stop insanity that pursues (Ants, Monkeys, Jumping Cars, and Nuked Fridge).
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) Review: A Friendly 5/10 (Because its Indiana Jones)
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
A Horror Movie I could Get behind!
The Plot: On a Desolate country highway, two homeward-bound teens (Gina Philips & Justin Long) are nearly run off the road by a maniac in a beat-up truck... and later spot him shoving what appears to be a body down a sewer pipe. But when they stop to investigate, they discover that the grisly reality at the bottom of that pipe is far worse than they could have ever suspected...and that they are now the targets of an evil far more unspeakable - and unstoppable - than they could have ever imagined! My Spiel: I have to say that this movie has been watched a bunch of times by me. Let me be the first to say it is a sweet roller coaster ride. But back when I first saw it in theaters its sad to say some of the scenes were cut out, because they aren't on the DVD version. From what I saw in theaters doesn't take away any of the wow factor from this movie or what it has to offer. This is miles way better then the second jeepers creepers which I urge you not to see, It is a abomination to the Creepers story line. That rest my case as to why it ended after 2. But Jeepers Creepers had it all, With the shock factor of the Creeper being a unknown entity unleashed after 2 unexpecting long road country traveling brother & sister. My favorite part was when Justin Long's character is talking to the cops at the diner about what he saw and how it tied the Kenny & Darla story at the beginning into it all was simply amazing in my eyes, Making it something so crazy and amazing! Jeepers Creepers (2001) Review: 9/10
Knockaround Guys (2001)
Knockaround Guy's has it's flaws but is Entertaining!
The Plot: Four Sons of big-time mobsters team up for one simple job: to retrieve a bag of cash in a small Midwestern town. Unfortunately, they get themselves into more trouble than anyone could imagine in Knockaround guys.
My Spiel: Staring Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, Seth Green, and Andrew Davoli as the 4 sons. This is a well put together group of actors that you could really believe to be friends. As I watched this movie I liked Vin Diesel hardass character, and have always been a fan of Barry Pepper from Saving Private Ryan movie. Though it's obvious that the movie tried to make you like Barry Pepper & Vin Diesel's characters more then any of the others. I have to say this movie was different stand on traditional mobster movies. Though it could of used some more ass kicking by Vin Diesel. My favorite Part was the bar scene with Vin's character talking his spiel about 500 fights and then kicks that guys ass. Though this movie was a good example of Enemy and friend. This was more of a movie of losing $h1t and trying to get it back in a small old country town, using the street smarts of there live in Brooklyn background. When worse comes to worse these guys just might be the best at this kind of group to get out of this disaster of random $h1t that's happened, or maybe they are just out of there element in this small Midwestern town, But doesn't help that one of them is going threw a crisis of if he wants to live this mob life to make his father proud, but with aspirations to be a sports agent failing because no one will hire him because of his name and his father's mob ties. Each of these 4 characters has a story and a solid background into each of there pasts and who that kind of person is.

Lucky Number Slevin (2006)
The Best Movie Surprise of 2006 for me!
Plot: A Movie about a Horse Race bet gone wrong. A man named Slevin (Josh Hartnett) in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Gets caught in a game with 2 mob bosses (Morgan Freeman plays "The Boss & Ben Kingsley plays The Rabbi) that use to control everything together in the past and now they have a job for him to do for both. In the mix of this mess he meets a girl (Lucy Liu). Little does he know he is being played by Mr. Goodkat (Bruce Willis) or is he! My Spiel: This movie totally blew me away. After watching this I started it over again and watched it again thinking how amazing and how proud I was for purchasing this by looking at the cover. This is easily my favorite movie of 2006. There is really nothing you can say bad about this movie. The story and how it all comes together was simple & amazingly done to perfection. Even consists of one hell of a cast from Josh Hartnett, Moran Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu, and Stanley Tucci. I don't want to rune any of the story, but I urge anyone to see this movie. It's truly a shame if anyone doesn't like this movie because they didn't get it, Which I have heard.

Jûbê ninpûchô (1993)
The Anime that got me hooked on Anime!
The Plot: Jubei is a master less ninja who travels the land alone, hiring his services to those with gold...or a worthy cause. His fearsome abilities have served him well, but a hideous plot to overthrow the government threatens to end his wandering ways and possibly his life. When a small village succumbs to a terrible plague, a team of ninjas are sent to investigate and realize that all is not as it seems. Ambushed, they are wiped out by a fearsome man-monster with incredible powers., leaving only one alive - Kagero, a beautiful female ninja whose touch can bring instant death. Jubei saves her from a fate worse than death and unwittingly becomes drawn into a web of treachery. He is soon faced with his greatest challenge, an enemy for whom death holds no fear with the power to destroy Jubei's world. It's an all-out bloodbath when ninja warriors come face to face in this action-packed tribal war. Ninja Scroll features a wicked cast of characters, extraordinary fight scenes and stunning animation from Yoshiaki Kawajiri and Madhouse Studios! My Spiel: Ninja Scroll is a feast of animation perfection. This is a blast to watch every time, from the sweet fight scenes and the sweet visual's this film has to offer. If you are looking for a Samurai/Ninja Anime search no further at only 94 minutes this is full of Adventure from start to finish. I can't say enough of how this movie blew me away after watching it in sync with Wicked City by the same Director. Granted this movie has a partial sexual content just so you know. But but don't let that discourage you, this anime does more then makes up for that with its fights against fantastically gifted enemies and visual aspects and fantastic ideas. Ninja Scroll with it's sweet top of the line animation is truly a joy to watch every time. Easily one of my top 10 favorite animes of all time.
Ninja Scroll (1993) Review: 9/10
Predator (1987)
Nothing Short of the Greatest Action Movie Ever!
Plot: A special strike force team is sent in the jungles lead by Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), for what he believe to be a rescue mission. But come to find out they were sent to stop a small army from crossing tons of weapons into the country. After they destroy the camp they soon relies they were tricked and expendable. Thinking this is the end they proceed to the check point where the Helicopter will take them home. But they are then hunted down one by one by an invisible enemy. Then find out this thing isn't human and is a hunter of unstoppable and futuristic tactics never seen on are planet. A Hunter from another world!
My Spiel: This movie is absolutely one of my favorites. From a time I watched this movie for 3 straight months, for every day. Some days I watched it more then once. I had this on a terrible VHS tape. But for some reason having to rewind it and in the rewinding time span I wanted to watch it again and again. This movie is full of everything from blood/guts/bullets/knifes/aliens/war/soldiers/death. All those mix to make the true "Guy Movie". Granted this movie has it's flaws but come on, this is one of those ultimate badass movies where none of that crap matters. There have been tons of movies to try to duplicate this movie and all fail. I can't urge people enough to just watch this for what it is. The ultimate what the hell else could go wrong for a special elite team lead by Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger). That has already been tricked into doing a job, also in 115+ degree heat, and then to top it off a out of this world galactic hunter wants there bones for collectors pieces. From the attack on the base camp that they completely demolish, to the destruction of a square block of jungle with the mini gun scene. But this movie true message is the fact that Dutch is left to fight the Predator without the use of military weapons, but has to make his own out of the supplies and natural surroundings around him, which completely throw the Predator for a complete loop, or does it!
After screening this movie to many times to count I have come up with a conclusion about the end. I believe that Poncho (Richard Chaves) the soldier with the automatic grenade launcher, Survived at the end. Well I believe he was in the lap of Anna (Elpidia Carrillo) in the helicopter at the end. Because you can see the hair of someone laying down but no face. And the only one with that short of hair at the time was Poncho, and heck I think Anna came back for him, granted he did get hit by a huge log, but who the hell else could it be. Also on another note in "Predator 2" they talk about only two special mission force members survived and I don't know what this means to you, but Anna is no special forces member! This is truly something that has bothered me for some time. But this movie had given me days of satisfaction and a must watch for anyone who likes Sci-fi/Horror/Action. Predator (1987) Review: 10/10
Pâfekuto burû (1997)
A Horror Suspense Thriller in Anime Form!
The Plot: In the world of make believe - the price of fame may not be worth the cost of identity. Pop singer Mima Kirigoe looks forward to a bright new career when she quits her chart-topping trio to become an actress. When she lands a role in a sexually charged murder mystery. Quickly descending into a dangerous state of paranoid delusions. Mima discovers Internet sites describing every intimate detail of her life. Helpless and afraid, she watches as her associates are threatened and killed by a mysterious stalker.
My Spiel: Perfect Blue is one of the more obscure animes to ever hit my way. I have to say this is like a live action suspense thriller and identity theft which just happens to be a anime. This has really crazy visuals, and not your average animation piece were everyone lives happy ever after, and everyone gets the girl. This is a truly bold movie from start to finish it's a new look at how fame can cause complete misery for the main pop idol in this movie, as well as the people around her. As Roger Corman put it, A startling and powerful film. If Alfred Hitchcock partnered with Walt Disney they'd make a picture like this. If you are planning to explore more anime movies and are interested on a completely new genre I urge you to check PERFECT BLUE out.
Perfect Blue (1998) Review: 7/10
The Quick and the Dead (1995)
A Western Shoot Out Movie with A Modern Touch!
The Plot: Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Director Sam Raimi (Spiderman) reinvents the American western in this wild, sexy shoot-out studded with action, suspense, and offbeat humor.
My Spiel: The Quick and the Dead seems to always be on the TNT network, but I can never sit threw it with all those commercials. So when I saw this movie for sale I picked it up to finally be able to watch it with out commercial interruptions. This is a entertaining western that it has the style and build of the standard tale of ultimate revenge. Granted I find it crazy that Sam Raimi directed this but he managed to get a heck of a cast. But this movie delivers in the style that its just your basic draw to draw shoot 'em up film. For those of you who haven't heard of seen this it's set around a competition of 1 on 1 fastest draw elimination. This has its crazy cast of random and off beat characters that enter and you know they are toast. But it has it's moments of thrills. But surprisingly has a end that wont disappoint. I recommend this movie to any fans of the new style western scene.
The Quick and the Dead (1995) Review: 6/10
Rambo (2008)
Wow! The Rambo I Wanted To SEE!
Plot: John J. Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is spending his time in a remote area in Thailand, and then is disturbed by a bunch of Missionaries trying to make a difference in Burma which is a constant war zone full of Death, Destruction, Rape and Mutilation. After Sarah (JulieBenz) one of the missionaries persuades Rambo to take the missionaries up river into Burma. Then sure as $h1t the missionaries get captured and some get killed. But it's then up to Rambo and a small group of Mercenaries to go rescue the missionaries from a large Burma army.
My Spiel: If you are not a fan of the first 3 Rambo movies then you could never fully appreciate this movies from its beginning to its end. It has references to all of them, from a very touching end, that takes you down memory lane to the "First Blood". But going to see this movie I sure wasn't expecting much only knowing I was going to see it regardless of anything, even from the crazy trailer with "Let the Bodies hit he Floor by Drowning Pool" playing But what I saw was something I could only say "Awesome!" This movie has it all from Rambo working on his craft of the bow & arrow, to his vastly known skills behind other weapons. The words "quick and decise" come to mind. There was a scene I truly wanted to cheer, when Rambo jacks those Burma Men with the bow & arrow, and then the last one hits the water mine "was amazing". Also there was the scene with the leader of the mercenaries talking big $h1t on Rambo not knowing who the hell he is talking to. If you are a fan of the past 3 Rambo movies you know where I am coming from here. Many people think this movie is bloody, but this could have been 10 times worse then what they actually showed, Which is probably a good thing, Because to much of that is redundant and doesn't keep the audience involved for long. I have to say this movie is simply beautiful from the redone score to the overall layout and feel. Finally all I can say now is Rambo is back in a serious way and a truly good way to possible finish this sweet saga of John Rambo. Rambo (2008) Review: 10/10
Hobgoblins (1988)
Wow don't know if it can get any worse!
Plot: Now that's a laugh, Something this movie doesn't have is a plot.
My Spiel: Okay let me throw it down here. A old security guard has a new recruit to train, and takes him threw the normal routine and the new guard notices a area which should be permanently guarded or so the old security guard says. Well Some how..... Just trying to explain this super cheese fest of a movie is bad enough, so work with me here. A ½ of 10 review is too good for this movie. Many people will probably think this is a rip off of "Gremlins" or "Critters", But in order for it to be a rip off it needs a story, plot, and the creatures are just pain ridicules. about 90% of this movie the director probably just said screw it and just started filming random stuff. But I'm getting away from the story. "HAHAHA" I said Story..." Hobgoblins & Story should never be used in the same sentence. Let me try to focus here. This so called secret totally secure area in which these 2 security guards must protect, Has a giant Safe and is being locked by a twist tie lock. Yes, I said twist tie the same thing that holds air out of your bread. Heck a 2 year old could sneak in this safe. But hiding in this safe are creatures so horrible and deadly, they have the power to warp people in a deadly fantasy illusion which eventually kill's the idiot victim, But what they mostly do is run away and drive in golf carts. "Wait it gets better" The director obviously couldn't figure out how to make these little creatures actually move/run/walk and film at the same time so how you know they get from here to there. All you hear is a scamper noise and the terrible actors in this $h1t fest look at there feet and go, wow did you see that! Yes Horrible and deadly is right to your eyes. These creatures spend all the time running and trying to cause mayhem to places you wouldn't give two $h1t's about. Then to end this super cheese fest which can be seen in the picture on the page, They have a mini pod space craft which magically appears out of thin air. I really have nothing good to say about this movie, except the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" group made fun of this horrible movie making it at least someone enjoyable to watch. But making fun of this movie is like pooping on poop, it should not be attempted.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)
Pan's Hellboy Labyrinth 2
Plot: Hellboy's (Ron Perlman) back still fighting "the Creatures from beyond and hidden in the cracks of are planet." Still part of the same team of, Liz (Selma Blair) and Abe (Doug Jones) and with the help of a new member sent to watch over Hellboy's antics. Now this time around... Hellboy is caught in a story his earth father (John Hurt) told him, when he was just a kid. About a past war of mystics/creatures/beyond vs. the human race. Which the humans won. But the King of the Mystics was told by a little goblin that he could build him a unstoppable golden army. After the construction of the army they easily beat the humans. But the King was still troubled. So he then decided to make a truce with the humans and split up the only way to control the golden army which was a crown that could be divided into 3 pieces. Then lock/Hide the golden army forever. But enraged inside was the Prince Nuada (Luke Goss). So after years and years of hiding he decides to make his move after years of the humans ruining everything and over populating. So now its up to Hellboy to put a stop to this, and the resurrection of the golden army.
My Spiel: I did like Hellboy one, but it really had to grow on me to really appreciate it for all the little features. I am a big fan of comic movies and I liked how Hellboy was simply set in the old times of the German army seeking other means of weapons of a mystic/unknown nature. But this time around Hellboy 2 comes out bigger then ever. Now after director Guillermo Del Toro success of Pan's Labyrinth. They obviously let him do whatever the hell he wanted too. I know what Del Toro was trying to do in this movie was to make his own universe of mystic creatures/characters, which is obvious from the hidden market place (Expanding out like the Star Wars universe). But it reminded me to much of "The Labyrinth" (the movie with all the puppets). It did make this movie expand out in a new way, but I have to say it was just to over loaded and that it was just so random from time to time, like they were rushing the middle of the story and not slowing down. Then with a obvious conclusion of how this movie would end after Hellboy's earth father told the story of the golden army at the beginning, but lets not go there. I was really expecting more I have to say there weren't many scenes I could really care about or get behind, because it's obviously another stepping stone for another Hellboy expanding out with the hidden market of to many unknowns. But who knows.

Clear and Present Danger (1994)
Clear And Present Surprise!
The Plot: (Harrison Ford) Returns as intrepid CIA agent Jack Ryan in this critically acclaimed box-office smash from the producers of Patriot Games. When his mentor Admiral James Greer (James Earl Jones) becomes gravely ill, Ryan is appointed acting CIA Deputy Director of Intelligence. His first assignment: Investigate the murders of one of the president's friends, a prominent U.S. businessman with secret ties to Colombian drug cartels. Unbeknownst to Ryan, the CIA has already dispatched a deadly field operative (Willem Dafoe) to lead a paramilitary strike force against the Colombian drug lords. Caught in the crossfire, Ryan takes matters into his own hands, risking his career and life for the only cause he still believes in - the truth.
My Spiel: This is my favorite of the Tom Clancy style war books turned to movies. Granted I like Hunt for the Red October. But the style of this is something else. This in my eyes is a true classic, of a man getting caught in a situation way bigger then he can explain at first. In the styles of the Patriot Games. This has a major one up on that. When the strike force team move in to Colombian territories commanded by Willem Dafoe's character. Also to the character Jack Ryan getting thrown / Betrayed into a conspiracy to send troops to stop the drug trafficking and cartel, and then uncovers the truth, and wants nothing more then to get those troops out after they were sold out. This is a action packed movie from beginning to end with the assault on the Suburban scene and every scene with the paramilitary strike force team. Love the acting between Harrison Ford and Willem Dafoe truly something to be admired, favorite scene when Ford goes to get the helicopter for Dafoe.

Akira (1988)
Akira Great Animation for its Time but a story that falls flat!
The Plot: Childhood friends Tetsuo and Kaneda's motorcycle gang encounters a military operation to retrieve an escaped experimental subject. The military captures Tetsuo and conducts experiments on him that unleash his latent psychic ability, but when these new powers rage out of control, Tetsuo lashes out at the world that has oppressed him! My Spiel: I have to say I enjoyed watching Akira for the visuals. But as for the overall story line for some reason didn't appeal to me as much as it did to many others. Granted I love the motorcycle and the animation scenes with the bike and when Tetsuo goes off against Kaneda & the army. This coming from a artist perspective its nothing short of awesome in what they did in 1988. But to be fair I am reviewing movies how I watch them and how they are, and I just think the story was average. But for visuals this is a must see for any fan of animation obviously.

12 Angry Men (1957)
A court movie that lives up to the test of time!
Plot: A movie about the court system, and much more. From a group of 12 jury members, thinking they have a open cut case of a sure verdict of guilty or do they?
My Spiel: I have slapped this movie in and watched it about as many times as about any other movie I own on DVD. Even though mostly all of this movie except for like 5 minutes are filled in one room, which could be considered a very boring movie, but the take on each of the characters is so great, from there different backgrounds and personalities it makes this movie a true masterpiece and one to be seen again and again. Basically its about one man (Henry Fonda) who thinks one man's life is worth a little more time to considering instead of throwing in a guilty vote with the other 11 in a matter of seconds. From what starts as just lets talk about the trial begins to have a turning effect on the other 11 people, and what ensues is something so amazing!

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
007 Tomorrow Might Die!
The Plot: A deranged media mogul is staging international incidents to pit the world's superpowers against each other. Now 007 (Pierce Brosnan) must take on this evil mastermind in an adrenaline charged battle to end his reign of terror and prevent global pandemonium.
My Spiel: I have to say I really enjoyed this movie, it is my favorite Brosnan 007 movie. Not sure why but I just liked the style, enemies, and vehicles. Tomorrow Never Dies from beginning to the end had it all it was full of thrill's that I could get behind. Granted it had some cheesy parts but its all fair in a 007 movie when they are thinking up the impossible. But the part that made me wonder was the main villain media mogul Elliot Carver would even be near let alone in the stealth sub, If I were as rich and powerful as him I would be far away from any of that. But hey 007 has to get his man. But don't let what I say spoil the movie. This was a blast to watch and clocking in at around 2 hours its a enjoyable watch.
