I love Dr. Blake and generally the actors are great that they use for each story, but this one was just bad. How hard would it have been to bring in some actors with real accents . At least then if they stop the fake accent it's not as bad.. this sounded like someone pretending to imitate a stereotypical Gypsy.

The dory itself is also quite weak. I don't care for Rose and the newspaper that much. I wish they made her character more like able . She continues to be that disrespectful reporter who needs to get the story no matter who she hurts on the process.

Of course all the regular characters were great.

Just want to start by saying I generally love apocalyptic movies.

However... When you make an apocalyptic movie you need to make at least one likable character. Half way in I couldn't care less if all of them vanished. You have Julia Robert's (a generally likable actress in most films) angry, complaining about everything , being the definitive 'Karen' for most of the movie, Ethan Hawk who acts like the biggest (another word for cat) the entire movie, their 2 kids one stupider then the other, Myha'la Jael Herrold the stereotypical affluent young black PC girl who blames everything on the white people, Kevin Bacon who is in it for a minute (wasted talent)playing a stereotypical right wing prepper, and the only remotely likable character played by Ali.

This movie played into every stereotype ad nauseum! No character had common sense.

So with all that you get a long movie that has no real backstory and no real plausible story in general. Things happen and you can guess what is occurring but the characters make the dumbest decisions to the point you're thinking 'what is wrong with these people?".

Then the daughter with this whole obsession with the show Friends! Really!? She's old enough to know that the world may end yet her main focus is catching the last episode of Friends?

You've failed as a parent if that is the only thing your teen kid cares about (this theme runs throughout the movie). I'm sure there was a deeper meaning to the Friends theme, they just forgot to tell the audience.

This is a stellar cast so I would expect something more.. maybe this is a product of 'Too many cooks spoil the soup' ... look at how many high profile people produced this.

Maybe it would've made a better mini series so each person could put their ideas in a separate take.

Missed opportunity big time!

100 dancers yet they focus on a few drama queens critique. Seemed more like a popularity contest. I don't think they had enough versatile dancers.. yes it's street, but I've seen some better riskier dancers on the subway. And to the comment about it being all American dancers??? Did you not hear the British accents ?? They were from America and the UK.. not the world but stop with the trashing "America ego".. it's a small Dance show not that serious. I actually laughed at the $100k .. by the time they tax that the winner will get about 40k$ better then nothing but hardly a life changer to these young dancers who many have already had dance contracts.

Also the whole "Music Box" is not fair. The first episode 2 girls are given slower songs and the others are given typical dance music.. totally different .. of course the slower ones are not going to be as high energy but at least there's some thought behind it. The other ones were all doing the same thing. Actually the bigger African American girl from NYC who had no one stand behind her shocked me! She was the only one to take a risk ..albeit hard to see with the poor camera angles.

Then the voting by the dancers?? I'm sorry but if you were in the dance how do you know what it looked like from the audiences perspective ? Isn't choreography about the whole package ?

Did the dancers get to see the dance and they not tell the viewers? I just don't see how you can make a proper vote?!

Which brings me to the editing! How hard is it to just keep a camera aimed at the dancers during a routine? It was literally so annoying... and I ended up just clicking on the finale and I do think the best person won overall. Definitely a talented dancer and choreographer .. would have like to see more of the dancing and less of the crowd or stupid high school drama . Felt very amateur. Maybe it's meant for those under 30.

I love So You Think You Can Dance and other dance shows (I love dance in general) but I give this a meh.

The entire movie takes place on a train, with the focus being on 6 passengers. Some unknown person takes control of the train and the passengers have to try and find a way of stopping the train. It's a very simple story line which lacks some key information that one would want to know in a movie like this (I don't care about the train mechanics personally as most people wouldn't know the difference), I'm talking about the story development. We never find out why the guy took the train, there really is no urgency seen in the side of law enforcement or train officials trying to stop the train, only one person uses their cell phone to contact the police. It almost seemed like it wasn't a big deal that someone hijacked the train and was driving it 100mph for no reason. Otherwise, the acting was good enough, the characters were likable and the concept was good. This is a movie that could be redone with more meat added and be very good.

My first thought when the outbreak started was the logic as to WHY you would get into your car and try to move locations? A) you live in northern NJ where there's grid lock traffic during a rainy Monday afternoon what to speak of in the event of a disaster. B) these creatures fly so clearly they will be everywhere sooner then you can drive. C) Why are you more upset about your dog then your best friend dying .. they seemed so ok with the friend being left. D) if it's shelter you needed and they don't see you should've stayed in your house:/

The ending was kind of a cop out .. either they were planning a sequel or just couldn't think of an ending because obviously you're not beating these things if you go outside . Another gripe.. I didn't get the whole cult cutting of the tongue thing.. it served no purpose, and if these things are so sound sensitive then they'd hear your footsteps with your shoes.

What I did like was the family dynamic in the film, it seemed very realistic.

Not as thought out as a Quiet Place

At what point can we get over the Zombie invasion and if we're not can we at least get more original with it. The first episode annoyed me from the start. So the father shows signs of infection and they don't let the him go with the daughter to the safety zone, but why not let the mother?? She showed no signs of infection. I guess there would be no story if they let her go with her daughter :/ If you can't get enough of zombies killing neighbors etc then watch it or you could just rewatch the 100 episodes of TWD.

Which I didn't care for. The acting is very good for a tv series and I did binge watch this so like many people I got sucked in. I love outbreak , plague type of movies so if you're like me, you will enjoy that aspect. The concept isn't so unique, a bunch of scientist trying to create a cure that goes terribly wrong. What is unique is the method in which they do it...I do wish the whole zombie craze would end.. can't we come up with a virus that doesn't result in people wanting to eat other people? Also the last episode confused me, it jumps 90 years into the future and I would guess the little girl Amy (she's an amazing little actress) didn't age because she has the virus??? Yet she says she is still looking for Brad (the Agent) who didn't have the virus and was caring for her? Wouldn't he be dead just by old age by then? I would assume there will be more seasons since the world is now taken over by zombies.

Btw I didn't read the book so I don't know how it compares.
