Haunting Fear (1990)
What....
I read the Edgar Allan Poe story, The Premature Burial, and this doesn't even have any similarities whatsoever, except the buried alive theme. Michael Berryman is a fine horror film actor, but how the Hell, did he end up in this? Karen Black, is an amazing actress, but also why the Hell, did she end up in this dim witted trash compactor worthy, Fred Olen Ray video. Another bad thing. This is not a Motion Picture not a Film, but this is a Video! B-Movie mania. Trash actresses and actors = Brinke Stephens, and many others, that are so bad I can't even remember their names, (and that's a good thing)! If you want some good suspense, watch "Motion Pictures," by, Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock. If you want good Giallo Era horror films, watch Dario Argento films, from 1970-1990. Avoid all Fred Olen Ray, trash compactor worthy films. This "Video," is crap!
Evil Dead (2013)
Ehh
Not scary, not silly, not impressive, not half as gory. It's just ridiculous, but in a bad way. It was okay, but I do not recommend it for lovers of the originals. None of films or remakes featured in the string of movies, can top the 1981 original. If you like bad remakes, watch this one.
Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)
New following series, which also features the arts of the splatteristic!
A television splatter/horror/comedy series, which is absolutely fantastic, and hilarious! Also featuring Bruce Campbell as the star, but none of the evil dead films, are as good as the 1981 one. Great series though, I recommend it for lovers of the originals!
Army of Darkness (1992)
Third and final splatter film of the evil dead series
Great third splatter film of the evil dead series, which also stars Bruce Campbell, which is also directed by Sam Raimi. Like the second splatter film of the evil dead series, this is another horror comedy. This is the most comedic movie of the three movie series. A must see! Watch the television series, called Ash Vs. Evil Dead! All of this is great movie stuff!
Evil Dead II (1987)
Pure Splatter Film Horror Comedy
1987, splatter film sequel to the 1981 movie The Evil Dead, which is also directed by Sam Raimi, and also starring Bruce Campbell. Great movie, and watch the third and final one. Don't watch the awful 2013 remake, called Evil Dead. Great movie!
The Evil Dead (1981)
One of the best splatter films which masters the arts of the splatteristic!
Sam Raimi, stars Bruce Campbell, in one of the greatest splatter films ever. This is a horror film, but the sequels turn into enjoyable and entertaining comedy horror films. Great motion picture, and an 1981 cult classic, splatter film!
Tenebre (1982)
Startling Slasher Serial Killer Motion Picture
Another great Dario Argento film, with the actress (Daria Nicolodi), who he uses the most in his horror films. Dario Argento's serial killer slasher comeback, still in the Giallo Era, as much as ever. Never underestimate the power of older horror films. If you loved Profondo rosso, Suspiria, and Inferno, you'll love this one just as much! All of Dario Argento's motion pictures, are good from 1970 (when he started directing) to 1990. After those decades, his movies are worthless trash compactor worthy films. Through those time periods, Dario Argento was an amazing Giallo film director, who mastered that genre, and artistically bloody style. This has an early 80s styled disco or pop sounding soundtrack, which has lots of creepy scores, just like all of his other soundtracks. Seems all of his movie soundtracks are by Goblin, or Claudio Simonetti, who is part of Goblin, that progressive rock soundtrack music score band group. Another Argento must see, for horror film fans!
Suspiria (1977)
My second favorite movie of all time!
This is a great Dario Argento motion picture, which tracked down of the one of the last Technicolor machines, to give the freaky color effects, and an eerie atmosphere, combined with an absolutely horrifying soundtrack music score. This is full of suspenseful frightening, and shocking scenes, with the eerie death music. The soundtrack itself, can even give you bad nightmares, and the actual film, makes it an altogether, unforgettable amazing and horrifying experience! I suggest this for all horror film lovers. This is a must see, famous and classic horror film, that inspired many more! P.S. Say boo to the new coming worthless remake!
