Outer Banks (2020)
Everybody hated season 2 I thought it was fantastic
I really liked season 1 which was surprising I normally find teen series quite annoying but this was rather enjoyable second season on the other hand I was obsessed with! Every episode finished on such cliff hanger I just couldn't stop watching it! Sure there were some errors timewise for example and sure some characters were annoying at times but sure show me one new Netflix series that is perfect. Personally I loved both seasons and what I loved even more was JJ he just melts my heart.
Date Movie (2006)
Seen all the bad reviews, decided cant be too bad with Alyson Hannigan..
I was wrong... so so wrong... this sht was almst worse than twilight haha
Anyway i have pretty wide sense of humor and enjoy everything from dark to cringy and everything inbetween.... the film had few funny moments im not gonna lie but they were not worth watching the entire movie...
I enjoyed the scary movies so hoped itd be the same level...
Im happy i watched it though you gotta see the bad stuff to appriciate the good stuff i guess and at least now ill know to trust the reviews a bit more...
Merlin (2008)
Always loved it however the last episode destroyed me.
Always was a fan of Merlin, since it came out.
As good as it is i feel like i mainly loved it so much because of the sentiment as it can be very cringy and bad at times but i loved every second.
It honesly feels like a good book, you doont even realise how fast you finish it.
You grow a strong bond between the characters, they all annoy you at times even your favourites but in the end you just adore them.
As many series as i have watched in my life as i am a strong binge watcher this one destroyed me. When Lancelot died i bailed my eyes out like crazy but that was nothing compared to the ending of the series. I honestly cant remember the last time i cried so much.
Now i feel like they did ruin the ending with the ''future'' thing since it was literally for split second and had no continuation no explanation no nothing it wasnt really to complete anything and since it was series finale it wasnt a beggining of anything.
I feel like it would be the cherry on top if after the showed the coronation the camera would go back to arthur and the fire would go on and then final cut split second after that.
Black Mirror: Metalhead (2017)
One of the worst episodes since 1st season for sure
Usually when i watch black mirror im drown in following the story line and i adore everything about it. With this one? i almost fell asleep ended up on my phone every 5 mins checking the time when its gonna finish.
Didnt like the style didnt like the editing didnt like the script didnt like the plot.
This is all my personal opinion if somebody likes it good for you but in my opinion it was one of - if not - the worst episode so far.
Pretty much all of the Black mirror episodes are set in the future with all the fancy technology this one is probably supposed to be in the future too so why the black and white? This is not a play with shadows kinda film from germans new wave or a film shot at the start ish of the 20th century when they couldnt film it in colour. it just looks like they got lazy so made it black and white. They couldve played with lightning and colours make it faded away creepy dark instead and itd be so much more effective i think.
I didnt like the script cause it was simply pointless. For good script the main character has to have a point be driven by something whether its money or saving someones life or ordering a cheesburger in mc donalds if you can make it interesting. But it has to be interesting. There has to be at least few plot twists or some important action or whatever . Im finishing my bachelor degree in film now and even when we write 10min short film you have to have at least 3 breath taking scenes that would hold the audience it back in the chair and wanting more and then the big big plot twist at the end. My scripts for 10 minute short films have more going on there than this 40 min story.
You also dont get attached with the character. i didnt anyway. With most of the characters in this show or ny other one you try to be in the characters shoes you feel all their emotions and so on with this one theres nothing...
Maybe if it was a short film itd be ok still wouldnt like it or re watch it but id definitely be easier to watch than this 40 minute running around from a mechanical dog with guys and knives bullshit....
(just want to point it out there im not hating on the series i absolutely love black mirror the episode before that was brilliant and pretty much all of them are worth watching just didnt really like this episode)
Doctor Who (2005)
The best of the best.
The show that got me into loving television.
I started watching it because of the David Tennant memes yeaaaars ago pobably 2010-2011. When i started watching i remembered when i was watching doctor who as a kid and i didnt even know! I was so in love with every episode, with every doctor, with every companion, every time i see it.
This is the series that got me into where i am so far. Because i was so in love with doctor who i started watching different series like supernatural, sherlock and so on and helped me realize that film is what i want to do in life.
If it wasnt for how amazing doctor who is i dont know if idve edned up studying film and so on so Doctor who is definitely my number one for the actual plot, cast and so on but also because of my emotional attachment to it.
Id definitely highly recommend it to anyone.
Sherlock (2010)
Definitely one of the best shows out there
I dont get how it is so low on the list of shows. 91? I think it should definitely be in the first 10/20 best shows at least.
Everything about it is just wonderful and i cant say a bad word.
Only watched it for the first time maybe last year or 2 years ago and loved it from episode one.
The only bad thing about it is how little episodes come out in such a long time.
American Horror Story (2011)
Say what you want, i think its excellent.
I started watching the show when they were finishing the 3rd season.
I remember when my friend was telling me all about it but i was afraid its gonna be super scary and all but i really liked the idea that its the same actors in every season but its different story every time. I think its such an awesome idea. It shows so much skills of the actors and you get to love them in every way. When i started watching it i loved it from the first season.
I loved pretty much all the seasons and i even rewatched like 3 seasons (and i almost never rewatch stuff) but i absolutely hated the 6th season. The only season i finished watching before the season actually ended.
The new season (The cult) although it only started to be amazing maybe in the middle of it.
I was watching it with my boyfriend and he said he doesnt like it half way there and after maybe 2 months i finished watching it myself and i was mindblown. This was the american horror story i liked.
The directing, script, editing, cast, everything is just wonderful.
I am still heartbroken that Jessica had left because she was an absolute star! I am not really into Sarah Paulson. there is something with her that just annoys me so much in every season. But i cant give series bad rating just because i dont like one actress especailly since shes a wonderful actress and he doesnt do anything wrong she just annoys me so much for some reason.
Anyway this is one of my favourite shows of all time and i honestly dont get why it gets so much hate and hwo can people not like it. Sure its not scary like a 'horror' should be but i still think its bloody amazing.
The End of the F***ing World (2017)
I don't get how so many people give it 10/10
It is an ok show, but lets face it it is not the best.
I feel like its the '13 reasons why' level.
Interesting plot, some scenes were pretty intense, loved the ending (well hated it cause it makes me want to see whats next).
The series start to be good-ish after maybe 4th episode. Before that everybody i talked to about this show hated the characters. They are annoying and silly and act like spoiled brats who don't care about the consequences.
The problem is - it only has 8 episodes. So how good can it be if only 4 out of them are watchable? I feel like its a bit overrated. It suddenly became a craze overnight.
Would i watch it again? Not a chance.
Would i rate it higher than Stranger things, AHS or other shows i watch? Absolutely not.
Would i recommend it to anyone? - Probably not
If went back in time would i decide to watch it? - I would definitely watch it.
Am i going to watch the 2nd season if it comes out? - Hell yes.
Anyway, if i could rate first half of the season id give it maybe 3 stars for the rest maybe 8 at most.
How ever the cast was wonderful. Alyssa and James did a terrific job i think and if i was to give rating for the cast alone id probably give around 9.
//
Ps. Alyssas father is a total DILF though so for him id give 15 stars alone if he didnt end up as a total douche and a careless prick.
