Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Repairs (2013)
Blasphemous
The entire episode seems to be aimed at mocking Christianity. As far as I could tell, only two people were professed Christians. One, a girl, was in a state of constant distress claiming to be haunted by demons as punishment for her sins; and the other, a guy, was claiming to have been in hell as punishment for his. The guy is doing all sorts of violence to people to "protect" the girl so that she would forgive his sins. Both are apparently crazy. Ski comes along and is portrayed as the sensible one as she tells the girl that she hasn't sinned, that no one deserves punishment for sins, and speaks derogatorily of nuns "scaring" children by telling them they need God's forgiveness. This speech is started with the statement that she doesn't really believe in God.
Some of this doctrine in this show wouldn't bother me so much if it were the bad guys saying God doesn't exist and the good guys saying he does, but in this episode, the "good" sympathetic characters, the ones you're supposed to know and like, say that Christianity is children's stories, while the lunies, who aren't even acting in a Christian manner, are talking about God and sins. This has the obvious effect of making a mockery of all such beliefs as sins, redemption, God etc. because it is expressed in a heretic manner by crazy people.
