Kol (2020)
Only if it was original
First thing first, the idea has clearly been taken from The Caller 2011 British movie. Although, the best thing about this movie is it gets into as detailed as possible while the former leaves you clueless thinking what happened and why. I would have given The Call full stars only if it was original. Though the director played smart, I wanted the ending to be quite thoughtful as well.
Game of Thrones: Winterfell (2019)
I enjoyed watching it even if it was average.
I can't express how excited I was for this Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere. The excitement level went one step high when Hotstar made me smile by streaming it at 6.30 AM and above all without any buffering.
Well, if we breakout the episode 1 of season 8, we can see that there were few revelations (Jon got to know he is the true born of Seven Kingdoms, Sam was informed about the death of his father and brother) and sweet reunion (Arya and Bran met Jon, Sam sees Jon after so long). The army of dead is marching towards westeroes. So we can say that this episode doesn't reveal much what is actually going to happen (may be I am expecting too much).
But one thing is sure that everyone will be amazed by the ending of this great series.
Gully Boy (2019)
A movie with real guts and gully
The movie starts in slum where you cannot recognise there is Ranveer Singh following his friends. I have never been a Ranveer Singh fan but this movie got my heart for him. He is so real in the movie. From acting to expressions everything of his is pure. Zoya Akhtar as a director didn't fail to impress. Every frame of the movie is a souvenir ride of emotions and a palpable bump. The story of Naezy and Divine is so inspiring and a lesson fact.
The most energetic and the scene which gave me goosebumps was a final rap battle scene. Acting of all the star cast is beyond par and worth watching on screen. At the end, the movie was realistic, surprising and a true gem. KON BOLAA......TUJHSE NA HO PAYEGA.
2.0 (2018)
So this is what you present with 600 crores
The trailer of 2.0 was itself a demise for me as I have guessed what hilarious stupid ride is this going to be from story point of view. What ai didn't know that it would be visually crappy too as the trailer didn't reveal that much of part.
Thank God I watched it in 3D so that it looked somehow promising otherwise I would be found scratching my head and will end up hurting myself so badly. Let me tell you nothing in this movie was good. I have watched many movies of Shankar sir and I really liked his last movie "I" but this one is utter disappointment. If you are going to present this by spending nearly 600 crores then I am sorry I would rather prefer watching those idiotic Singham kind of Bollywood movie.
Ignore this movie even at home. This is a mind suck
Soorma (2018)
The greatest comeback story ever
I am an Indian and I am ashamed of myself. Hockey is our national game and I didn't know about the Sandeep Singh before watching Soorma. Seriously a shame for me. The man who struggled a lot, I mean I can't tell how difficult it is to gain the same hope again when it gets lost. He is world's fastest drag flicker, he is India's highest Hockey goal scorer.
This man had to be know so kudos to Shaad Ali who carried out the risk of making such movie although he knew it would not earn so much. This is the sign of real director. Whatever I will say about 'Soorma (Diljit Dosanjh)' will be less because the praise would not be enough for him. I swear that I didn't feel that goosebumps while watching 'Chak de India' as much I felt in this movie.
145 km/Hr of drag flick - That's legendary
The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (2018)
Lovely, sweet and Enjoyable
This movie is directed by Spanish director and he seems quite good in his work. The way he has summoned up the culture of both the countries is commendable. To be very honest, the movie has no story at all but the journey is beautiful no doubt. It is a journey of small fakir who does small tricks for living in the streets of India and how he ended up going to Paris to find his father whom he never met. This is the journey of Aja aka Ajatashatru Lavash Patel. Do watch it guys. It has some flaws like there is no actor or actress seem acting except Dhanush. But still it is good.
Andhadhun (2018)
What is life? It all depends on liver
Surely the quote said above will not impact you much until you finish watching the movie. This I can say one of the best thriller presented by Sriram Raghavan after Johny Gaddar. When you guess this would be the next, it proves you false and that is what the speciality of the movie is.
The storyline of the movie is simple so much so the execution of the same is favourite. The acting if we talk about, Ayushman is all way rocking, handsome and fragrance of talent. Same for tabu. Radhika Apne didn't have so much to do but she too was good.
This is not a whodunit kind of murder mystery because you know who committed murder from the scenario itself. It is a different movie for all the audience and of you can crack it, try to do it in the end.....(Bunny is my favourite)
Akaash Vani (2013)
A movie with some kind of magic
When this (Akaash Vani) movie got released, I hadn't yet watched first movie of Luv Ranjan so I was actually unaware about the piece of art he makes. After the suggestion of one of my friend, I gave this a try even after noticing the IMDb rating of 6.3. But wait what? This movie came to me as a surprise.
I can say that the movie may be was ahead of it's time because the whole movie was itself a poem. The circumstances which is not favourable to anyone is pointly and deeply have been shown in the movie.
Luv Ranjan is purely an artistic person and I hope he will keep making such movies.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
HIGH ON CGI; LACKS ON PLOT
I am still confused how one can think about making a franchise of so eminent movie. The writer was sure shot two or three bottles down while working on script. I mean look at the story of Jurassic World (tremendous) and what about other Jurassic Park serious (fantabulous). But this one sucks. If this movie did not have Chris Pratt, I would have given it 1 star. So I watched the movie in theatres let's talk about what I like (rarely) and what I didn't (mostly)
What did I like?
The movie starts with a blood curdling scene where a man is escaping from I guess Carnotaurus but out of the blue Mosasauras appeared and swallow the man. The scene was so intriguing. My heart was in my mouth.
CGI of the movie was great. Especially in the scenes where Owen and the team are escaping and fell into the river. That scene was well shot. Kudos to the dotector.
The scene where Brachiosaurus was left abandoned. I had tears in my eyes and I really wanted it to be saved. The scene was emotional.
What didn't I like?
Now let's talk about the crappy things of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. The story is the culprit here I must say, if they would have worked upon the story, it would be better then the first one. The hobernmego has orderdo to left the dinosauras to die but the protagonist want them to save. I mean come on, how one can believe to this story.
