House (1985)
Really
One if the worst, holy mackerel.
Richard Moll (terrible; from t.v), Groege Wenndt (Ok; from t.v.), and the special effects are horrid. Less is more, but people do not listen.
They say Viet nam people have this and that. I had a dad and 5 uncles all seeing actions and we had great family holiday dinners and they all lived from early 80s to mid 90s. As did many others. Its tiring and not for war but people used it for every day life. The movie stinks and in a bad movie you need an actor to hold your attention and no one does.
Terrible, terrible, terrible.
Thanks
James
Born to Be Wild (1995)
Wrong message
The movie in general is awful, but the message sent is upside down.
This boy was raised relatively correctly considering all the outside issues, like this movie and similar by products that show not listening to your parents is correct and movies like this and similar products validate teens and the way they treat their parents and the like.
Your mom, WHO GAVE YOU LIFE AND A HOME AND FOOD IN YOUR BELLY, comes first. Only white people do this and it is disgusting.
As for the movie, well, overacting, simple plot and all that goes with a below average movie.
Lastly, parents and kids, stay together and keep your family together for a long, long, long time.
Thanks.
James.

Same as many movies
I read the critics and a couple of common denominators. The plot is too complex and the movie has cliche's. We are not, in general, a smart society that's why everything is complex to everyone and I mean worldwide. The cliche's are what is said on a regular for the last 100 years and still said, just in different words at different times.
The critics don't like that because in their corrupt mind it brings us back to a day they either read about or heard about and was told only one side did or said it, read between the lines and this is why there is UNTOLD CRIME NOW. People were poorer, in the U.S years ago, pick your decade, and they didn't commit 1/10 of these crimes.
As for the movie it is somewhat about the North Hollywood robbery and because of that they -the movie- try to not fully make it exactly like the real thing.
Lots of shooting and bombs and becomes a mindless movie at the end with action and lines that some may or may not like.
Thanks for reading.

The Package (1989)
Holes galore.
Terrible movie with so many plot holes. And Gene Hackman plays a self righteous sergeant in the army. They are planning an assassination of one of the leaders. The plan includes high officials in many police departments and in the military. Hackman is on the pursuit of the truth and what happened. Of course he has an ex - wife higher up on the military chain than him so she gets some movement. Her friend, Ruth, helping her, gets killed and they are upset. Everyone gets killed except Hackman. They recruit a "buddy" of his on the Chicago P.D.... They now go on the last offensive to stop and find out what is going on. So many issues. The cop, helping Hackman, gets shot and tells Hackman to go, because he is wanted by the police and army. Does he go? No! He stays with the injured officer and then promptly gets "arrested" and is handcuffed. Is he shot in the head and then dumped out in some alley? No, they take him where, to the safe house where the plan is going down. Doo they inject him with something lethal or to put him to sleep, no, they let one guy go down to "set up" Hackman's death. But, alas, he is able to beat the guy up, all from sitting on the ground mind you, and escape.
At the end all the players are in the right place to be intercepted by Hackman and Franz (The officer helping Hackman).
When you watch this movie you will do what we were doing, or saying. Like, why don't they, no way and all they have to do is!!!
By the way, Hackman's wife, in the movie, is a colonel and oh, isn't missed at her job (post) in the office. The Secretary and people she does "business" with are not inquiring.
Lastly, Joanna Cassidy, who is Hackman,s ex wife and is helping him was distraught over her friend, as I mentioned earlier, Ruth being killed, but, they now are happy and she isn't mentioned AGAIN and they are happy, like if didn't even happen.
Again, suspend your brains, which is hard to do, because even a child won't understand why they do these things.
One thing, I heard Hackman turned down the role in the "Fugitive" and thus, was given to Tommy Lee Jones. Do they, Hackman mainly , read the script before they do the movie???
Because if they do, well, something is wrong in their brain .
Thanks for reading.

Hannibal (2001)
Ridiculous
I know the writers and directors and the like have creative control, but this is almost, no it is, OTW (Off The Wall). Same agent, Starling, out there acting like and obnoxious man.
Only this time a lot bloodier and really trying to go over the top with eating habits of Lecter, and his biting habits. He is an old man, even in "Silence of the Lambs", when compared to younger, stronger well trained men. If he was well trained and didn't have Anthony Hopkins body, well, then maybe, maybe, not for sure. Well, he is known for this and that and yet he is still secured minimally, joke and doesn't happen. But Demme and Tally, the director and writer of silence of the lambs didn't do this movie because it was over the top. Anything over the top (because you look at that and not the art) and you will see the names Ridley and De Laurentiis along side. In one scene Lecter (Hopkins) overpowers Krendler (Liotta). I don't care what type of man Krendler was, do you see the difference between the two me? Watch that scene and tell me that old man Hopkins, even if he is Lecter, can, and that easily mind you, hold a hanky on Liotta's face, no way.
They make Lecter to be a superhero. This movie, and most of their movies, is so far from reality it insults your intelligence.
I don't know what men you people grew up with, but the older guys I saw in my neighborhood and what they did at times, well, let's just say they would have to save Lecter from them. Boy oh boy, men have become sniveling, scared little people. And I don't mean fighting evil, but standing up for what you believe in and then others should do the same no matter who they are.
Here is a movie with no focus and is a shock movie and one man (A psychopath) and a woman (Starling) are the only ones that can do anything worth while, in this movie.
It shows to go you, this business, primarily, is who you know and not what you know.
There isn't any thing good about this movie.
Where is a John Wayne when we need him?
Thanks

Broken Arrow (1950)
Ok Movie
I saw this movie a few times back a while and then just watched it. First, James Stewart gets shot twice at point blank range and survives, and wants ro kill tbe people thay just shot him, joke as are most movies with violence. Second, Debra Paget was 15 years old at the start of filming.
That is awfully young to be a romantic lead with a 41 year old Stewart . It, really shows how people, especially white people , their own people, that they should protect goes out their way for a cause that was achieved, or lack there of, 80 or so years early than this movie. But because people never give up on these so called causes that we have issue and problems.
It was, as usual, a movie in the late 40s and through the 1950s that broached a so called cause. This cause, as I said earlier, was finished and done but they, the "Holywood" people want to use this not as a call to help the Red man but to try and parallel it, the Red man's cause, with the issues of the day, that day or days was the early 1950s.
And it works because after reading a lot of reviews, from today's people, they are sympethic with the plight of a people, yet not being there and not having their whole super close family and friends wiped out. And those people, today, still talk about it and act like it is so difficult to make it in the U.S.A. today.
Well, the movie, as usual, is a piece that wants to make a point, even at the expense of their own people. The issue is that the reviewers here, if in charge then, would have done the same thing , but sitting here and comfortable it is easy to pass judgment on those that were distraught and left alone in the middle of the southwest. If these reviewers were in charge of the country from the beginning there would not be a country and all of the people of the world that were being destroyed would not have a place to go for freedom. People that come to this country , like my grandparents were happy as h__l to be here and sent 4 boys to WW 2 because it was America and who cares if the enemy may be tour ancestors. They were called names by all sorts of the people in this country but knew they were the sacrifice for their children and grandchildren and so on to put a great foothold on America and not worry about where they came from but move forward and speak the dominant language instead of their own.
But the reviewers are making this movie larger than it is.
Because they think of others so they can get their pat on the back, but stick by your own through, not only the good but the not so good, but no matter the ill and the ill will be fixed id really, really, really wrong, then we will be one people, be one peoples and we will have a greater peace than ever before. Until then movies like these will always fuel the mind of the young to do things they normally would not do and it may have started with their parents who when they were young filled their minds.
It's a nice little western, but when I watch movies it is so tiring to see what they do to a movie instead of making it entertaining. FORGET THE POINT JUST ENTERTAIN.
Thanks
God Bless
