Terrific film
7 March 2008
Had the opportunity to see this little gem at a screening in Manhattan and it is a beautifully realized film. Produced by Loose Moon Productions, it was filmed in upstate New York over a period of several seasons and the effort extended for a fifteen minute short is reflected in the quality of the finished product. The imagery caught by the lens of Jonathan Cliff and the original music composed by Lance Horne surrounding the famous poem, 'To Paint the Portrait of a Bird' by Jacques Prevert, is mesmerizing and the unspoken performance by T.D. White as the aging painter is touching indeed. Not sure if this is yet available on DVD but try to see this if you can.
