Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022)
Everything I hoped it would be
As a kid who was raised on Disney afternoons this movie was great. It was respectful to the franchise and the fans of those shows. It had the same campy humor that the original had while also growing up and being meant for people in their late thirties and early forties.
I loved every moment.
Ambulance (2022)
Sucked ass
This movie is Michael bay sucking his own dick. He direct references his own movies in this. I saw an advanced screening and hated every moment. Michael Bay has fallen off hard.
Forces of Nature (1999)
Wonderfully mediocre
This movie has so much potential with everyone in it and they were all wasted. If it has been directed as a straight rom com it would have worked but they tried to shoehorn in every cliche 90s trope (as if they wanted a mix of natural born killers, the matrix, and you've got Mail).
It's not a good movie but I still kind of like it.
Free Guy (2021)
Nothing special
It was a fun movie but overall nothing great
It seemed act 1 ended too early and did not properly set up act 2.
Act three seemed to take too long but was the best part.
It's worth watching at home but not on a theater.
Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet: Peter (2021)
Best episode of the series
This is academy award level acting by two greats. They play subtitles and nuances of the characters are wonderful. I hope there are more episodes like this in the future.
Monster-in-Law (2005)
Decent
This movie was ok. But took too long to get started. There was a lot of information and time spent on stuff that didn't matter. The third act was great though.
Army of the Dead (2021)
It's a zombie movie
You can't expect a great story from a zombie movie. This is no exception. But there is great cinematography and story telling. I enjoyed it.
Shadow in the Cloud (2020)
Decent
If you don't go in expecting much you'll be surprised. I enjoyed it.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
It was ok
It was good if you took it for what it was. There wasn't anything really special about this movie but the acting and directing were pretty good.
Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet: Quarantine (2020)
Wow
Of all the quarantine episodes of shows over the last year this one did everything it needed to do while still keeping with the heart of the show and not being preachy. I'm very impressed.
The Big Hit (1998)
90s style action writing at its best.
The 90s was a weird time for action where it was a giant mix of pop culture, sarcasm, and violence. This movie has all of that.
And Mark Wahlberg's acting has not changed. For the most part he is still a misunderstood nice guy trying to make people like him.
The Trump Prophecy (2018)
The worst
This has the worst SFX, camera work, directing, sound editing, and everything else involved in filmmaking that I have ever seen.
On top of everything else Liberty University should be ashamed ashamed of, this should be on the list as well.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Very good
It was a good movie that had great characters. There just happens to be a trend in movies in the last few years where we are watching events instead of following a linear story.
Downhill (2020)
Not great
It was a slow movie that felt like it never really started to advance the plot, then just ended.
The acting was good, the movie looked good. There was just a complete lack of story.
Coop and Cami Ask the World (2018)
Albert Tsai is the reason to watch this.
A lot of the show is boring (maybe it's because I'm watching with three kids under ten), but Albert Tsai's character is great and makes the show fun.
Sydney to the Max (2019)
A great show for kids
I have three young daughters and this show is one of those feel good shows that helps bridge the divide between how things were when I was a kid and how things are for them. I like the B story of the dad as a child going through something similar as a kid.
It's a fun show that doesn't seem to take it's self too serious and can be fun for parents and kids.
