October Road (2007–2008)
I am not to sure yet, but not too promising
4 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched only two episodes so far and I am not thrilled. I guess the main word here is boring. I was bored to near death watching these two episodes. Okay, I'm giving it a chance because of Laura Prepon, but that will only go so far. I even have to admit that I am not too thrilled with her acting here either. Dead pan acting expressions just does not go here. Yes, this show could develop into something good, but I seem to doubt it. It is way off base when it comes to plot lines, and not at all believable either. I mean so the guy writes a book and everyone is angry at him, ho-hum. The girl he left has another man and yet she wants to kiss him with love in her heart after a decade of living another life and not hearing from the guy, yea right. This guy is from a small town yet we are asked to believe he kept in touch with absolutely no one, including his father, to tell him he may have a child. Only now his dad wants to take a good look at this kid and tells his son that the boy has "your mothers eyes". Please, come on now, we are supposed to believe this aren't we? The writers here have their work cut out for them. This is a TV show, not the book.

That '70s Show (1998–2006)
Just a great show and I hate to see it go. Brings back silly memories too
14 February 2006
This is a really good show and I hate to see it go. I only started watching it about two years ago and I love to see how the kids lives have changed through the years. It may be a real stretch but it reminds me when I was a silly kid hanging out in a friends basement. Of course I had a girlfriend and we thought we would be together forever. I have not seen her in 35 years. It is really fun to watch these kids going through life in the 70's. It reminds me of all the trials and tribulations we had as kids. With a comic slant of course. Otherwise it wouldn't be so entertaining. My favorite is Kitty who is not the kid but Erics mom. Every time she laughs I get hysterical. Those easy and free bygone days of youth. When the most important thing in life was your girlfriend and school. This show, even if it is off the wall, brings back those memories. Here is what I would like to see in the final show. Hyde gets Donna at last since he has always loved her. Everybody finds out that Hyde is making $150,000 a year at the record store when he gives Red $25 grand for back rent and his appreciation for taking him in when he was abandoned and broke. Fez finally gets Jackie who falls madly in love with him. Red finally tells Eric that he loves him since Eric comes home from Africa. Eric came home because he won the El Gordo lottery and is filthy rich. His new girlfriend is played by Tyra Banks who is a American girl he met while she was in Africa doing charity work. Kelso has no girlfriend and no job because he got fired from his security job in Chicago. Kitty's mother tells her that she loves her and they decide to go into business together since Eric is bankrolling it. It's my idea of a good ending for a great show.

Old time Jazz greats on film
15 January 2006
Wonderful entertainment. If you love Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday you will enjoy this film. Satchmo on the horn with Billie Holiday singing with it. Two greats that we will never see again. This movie may be a bit outdated but that is part of it's charm. I just love even hearing Sathmo's voice when he is just talking let alone his magic horn. I recommend this movie for all old time jazz fans who want to see some of the greats on film even if they appear for only for a few minutes. Movies like this really make me think of our mortality. Everyone is gone but their spirit still lives on. That is my own personal feeling. After watching this movie I just want to listen to all the old jazz tunes played by the old timers. I would really not call this a great movie. It's just lots of fun.

this film is wonderful entertainment
2 January 2006
This film is just wonderful entertainment. All good actors from yesteryear. Bogart like you never seen him. Then there is the future President of the United States when he was young and could not possibly know what kind of a future was in store for him. Some of my favorite actors that are gone but not forgotten. Just good old fashion corny light hearted entertainment. The acting is very good. The dancing and singing are lots of fun. The storyline is just pure smiles. That is really true. You just watch this film with a smile on your face the entire time. They could never make a film like this today. It is a real family entertainment picture. The only embarrassment that a person could feel while watching this film is enjoying it so thoroughly. It's great.
