Mo fang fan (2023)
Good, too long
The show was good overall and worth a watch. However there were a few issues that held the show back from getting to the next level. I feel like the last 4 episodes were kind of unnecessary. They could of stopped the series halfway and I would of still enjoyed it. The villain's logic was flawed and the way the killer was brought to justice was lazy writing. The show seemed to drag a bit from time to time within episodes too.
There was a lot of positives though. Without giving too much away, I liked some of the motives to the villains. It seemed as a way to help redeem them in some way. Some of the twists were creative with a good storyline.
Emergency (2022)
The Struggle....
No common sense is used throughout the movie. The characters are afraid to do the right thing because the media tells them that if they are black and encounter the police, they will be shot. I wish Hollywood could create movies for black actors/actresses where the story isn't about "the struggle".
Legion (2017)
Meh....
I really want to like this show but after watching the first season, everything about the show is substandard. The acting is not great, the effects are not great, and the writing is not great. I like the concept a lot because its different than a lot of the other "mutant" shows. Perhaps because of a low budget but the show leaves me feeling underwhelmed.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Good CGI/Action; Poor Comedy/Writing; PG13
The special effects, acting, and fight scenes were all great, as one would expect with this movies budget and cast.
However, the lame humor between Eddie and Venom really dragged down the movie for me. Also, the writing/ending seemed a bit weak. Like they just wanted to end the movie asap. It's worth a watch but I'm definitely disappointed. I really had high hopes for this one. PG13 rating was a buzzkill for a Carnage movie.
A Quiet Place (2018)
Half a Movie
Nothing really happens during the entire movie. Just as the movie is about to climax, the movie ends, leaving the viewer unfulfilled. Hollywood grab for cash with a sequel. Could have made 1 and 2 into a single movie.
