Women in Chains (1972)
Watched once: Never forgot it...
The one thing I will say about Women in Chains: Lois Nettleton's performance was powerful. I look forward to seeing it again. And again. Ida Lupino, Belinda Montgomery, don't miss them!
The Liberace Show (1952)
Amazing pianist!
I am 63 and adding how much I remember this happy, smiling, very talented Liberace! This was the only way I could address my regret at my lament for where his other movies are? The one where he played a musician who goes deaf. Excellent movie...
One True Love (2000)
More Than Just Another Gushy Romance
Back in the day, like when THIS movie was directed and produced, well, the title says it all. I've seen it once so far and have never forgotten it. And frankly, I won't add spoilers. It was so refreshing to find a truly loving movie that isn't just filled with the same old sugary stuff ad nauseum...I have been waiting for years to SEE THIS AWESOME MOVIE AGAIN!
All I can say is: Don't miss this movie: you will not be disappointed. It is One True Feelgood.
Krakatoa: East of Java (1968)
First Real Color Disastor Movie & Has It ALL!
No apologizes to the bored current movie-goers who are so desensitized by cgi that they can't appreciate the cinematic efforts of the original masters, who used chewing gum and masking tape to make a great film that outlasts time, such as Krakatoa, East of Java.
Oops, they didn't check the map, but the special effects for that era were spectacular.
I was an extra in this movie. I was 8 years old, one of the school children on the island.
My dad was in the Air Force and we lived in Spain at the time. My mother had a friend whose daughter was in the film and they were looking for more extras. Lucky me.
Today, I see these modern action films and I'm sorry, but they don't do anything for me. Computers do all the work. Whoopee. I won't see them anymore.
No wonder you don't like the classics. I DO.
