Jodhaa Akbar (2008)
Complete, Unadultrated Garbage!
There was, once in India, something called Hindi Movies. Then, sometime around the mid to late 70s through the 80s it was "hijacked" and turned into the so-called "Bollywood" - the worst pile of junk, no rather an insidious subliminally indoctrinating machine to promote a narrative and subvert the young population by feeding them lies, distortions, and revisionist history sugar-coated with song, dance, lavish sets, and strange love stories.
Jodhaa Akbar is one of the creations of this new "Bollywood" cinema which only losers, dumb believers in its false narrative enjoy. Just like the term "Bollywood," so are the creations it churns out: phony, plastic, unappealing, garish, over the top, useless lies with no talent to speak of whatsoever. Or the courage to speak the truth for that matter.
I feel sorry for India, a country with a storied past in literature and the arts, and how its younger generation has been brainwashed by this nefarious, subliminally preachy industry.

The Hate Kangana Brigade Is At It Again
Checked out this latest offering. It's a little over the top, but isn't that the intent of movies like this? I would have given it a lower rating, but I see (religious) haters of the leading actress are out in force again to bring down the ratings, as they have nothing better to do.
All in all, it's a commendable production and the last time I saw something anywhere near this theme was Vijeta back in the 80s. I don't know what took them so long to create something on those lines again.
Like I said, it could have been better, but I'm impressed and am going to give a higher rating than I would have only to counter the hateful losers out there. Can't stand a country celebrating its air power, then take a hike. It wasn't made for you!

Another Movie Rating Boosted by BOT Reviews
Yet another cliched, narrative driven drivel from "Bollywood" that's been boosted by a deluge of BOT Reviews with nothing particular to say except give it an undeserved "10."
Nothing against the actors as they have a job to do and perform as they are asked to. And they do a fairly good job too. But these tiresome, repetitive story lines are way too predictable and tiresome.
I'm not a BOT, and my rating is the little I can do to counter these flood of fake reviews.
IMBD: This is another friendly reminder to tackle this BOT issue, and fix your tarnished reputation, which is currently in tatters. You were once a trusted source of movie reviews for me. Not any more.

This is Exactly What's Wrong with Hindi movies and why people don't want to atch them
The mischievous narrative perpetuated in this movie is precisely why people in India are up in arms against the Hindi movie establishment.
The over the top falsehood it propagates is unbelievable. The ground reality is quite the opposite. As long as such movies are made, and bots are used to push up the ratings, no one, and I repeat no one will watch such nonsense.
This trend, begun in the 80s has already altered an entire generation or two of young Indians who are ashamed of their religion becoming fertile ground for switching their cultural beliefs after constant indoctrination by this medium.
We've had enough falsehoods, and we're not going to take any more! Time to clean up the mess in Hindi movies!

"10" Are you Kidding Me?
Seriously? Hundreds, likely thousands of obviously fake handles providing one incoherent sentence to give a rating of "10?" IMDB has to seriously look into who are ranking Indian movies on their site. If you do a thorough forensic audit, you should wipe out thousands of fake accounts and bring back some accuracy in Indian movie reviews. These fake accounts/Bots are seriously harming your authenticity, IMDB. To the Bots: falsely ranking a movie a "10" won't boost its popularity, nor will a "1" bring down a movie starring someone you hate.
I intended to give this movie a more "honest" rating, but with the innumerable false "10s" I'll do my bit by rating it a "1." It's my way rationalizing things here somewhat - and I've provided my reason above.

Pretty good and insightful movie
The movie interestingly portrays the life of late Jayalalitha, the actor turned politician of Tamil Nadu. Hard to capture all her nuances, but the director and the lead actor Ms Ranaut have done a commendable job in bringing her to life for the not so well versed like me. Good work by all concerned with the movie!
I don't know why the mischievous repetitious hateful and politically motivated comments have been allowed to hijack this site to share movie reviews. They need to move to some proper place to air their views; this one's not it.

Stupid Reviews or Brainless Audience - Take your pick
8.7?? Seriously?? For this nonsense??
My apologies to those being insulted daily by this rubbish.

Watching a blank wall is more fun than this garbage
Where do I start with this so called show? This is by far the most disgustingly unbelievable piece of drivel I've seen on TV. A Primary School student could do better than this. The producer of this show should be locked up for insulting or massively dumbing down of India and turning it into a laughing stock of the world (if the world is watching it). I wish I could give it a negative rating. Please, please, please take this absolute garbage off the air, would you??? Oh by the way, this is the second time I have made this comment - apparently my last one was removed - why???
