A Day to Die (2022)
Good Bruce Willis flick
This one is so much better then the rest of the other films Bruce has been in of late. Good action, plenty of well cut chase scenes and really in all a well produced movie. If action is your thing you will like this.
Damon's Revenge (2022)
Here for Michael Madsen
Lots of good actors and scares. This one was much better then the first and the storyline flowed well without any continuity issues. Editor did a great job putting this together. My type of saturday night movie.
Life Ain't Like the Movies (2021)
Real life
Life ain't like the movies kid! I seen it with my kids and they all loved it. Worth the rent. Deep meaning with plenty of life lessons. Cynda Williams, Paul Bates, Wendell Kinney and Lee Parish Scott all were great in this.
Eli (2019)
So good
No shock that the doc was actually planning on hurting him, and totally called the ghosts trying to help him from earlier on, but all in all I was surprised with the twist, and enjoyed every minute of it. Plus I have a weakness for anti-hero's. The (up until now) completely innocent kid triumphing over those who would kill him due to his birth circumstances is a fun twist that feels like a win/happy ending, considering we followed this poor terrified kid's perspective through the process of the plot unfolding. Anyway I loved it. Totally recommending it to my friends.
Girl on the Third Floor (2019)
Why
The writers have tried to cram so much into the plot that it makes no sense, and any classic horror film tropes just seem cringe and like they've tried too hard cos they're every 5 minutes and have no context. Thought the husband's acting was terrible. Also if this house was supposed to be a brothel a hundred years ago or something why is the ghost just a normal lass with tattoos. Also what do the ghosts want ?? One minute they're haunting and killing people but then turns out they just want people to find their bodies . Just feel baffled more than anything else.
Sacrifice (2018)
An original
Strong performances by both the actors. What I really liked about the plot was that rather then just two soliders in love as you would usually see this is more of a unique love story between a solider and civilian. I felt the emotions right to the end!
CODA (2021)
Heartfelt
Sublime in so many ways, rarely has there been a story so genuine, so lovingly crafted, so expertly depicted. The Rossi family may be fictional, but couldn't be more real - a complex, lovingly dysfunctional, emotionally taxing quartet, seemingly mired in an inner-world missing one important sense - the ability to hear - except for the hearing daughter, Ruby - torn between her own yearnings and a lifelong sense of duty - to remain their bridge to a world of sound. It is exceedingly rare for a performance to master so many disparate nuances as that which Emilia Jones has accomplished. You will believe every fiber of her story...the signing, the singing - and likely not so silently cheer for her (and her family) to achieve a happily-ever-after outcome!
Inception (2010)
Perfect
One of those rare films that ages like a fine wine or like a diamond that can be polished again and again but it only makes it shine all that more. That is probably the perfect way I can describe this film. It has something for everyone and everything for those kinds of people who look for a logical explanation in everything in a movie or in real life. We simply ask that a movie remains true to its world and internal principles. I think you will find it overall very satisfying in terms of music, effects, storytelling, a plethora of emotions, flawed characters, acting etc.
Interstellar (2014)
Wow
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen! It gives a good explanation of what a wormhole and a black hole could look like in real life. I believe this is one of Christopher Nolan's most successful films in his entire filming career. I liked that it had a lot of popular actors in the movie(Mathew McConaughey, Anne Hathway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, etc.). I also loved the movie so much that I had the Black Hole scene as my avatar and my background on my computer. I mean lets be honest, that black hole is a beautiful sight at a distance and from all of the planets. And also it gave me a chance to tell my family all of the astro-like stuff and what it is(cryosleep, artificial gravity, etc.). My family also agreed that it was a really cool movie.
A Dark Foe (2020)
My sincere opinion
Boy, I was afraid to watch this film and finally watched it. I can conclude that some reviewers are plain rude and full of hate to say the least. Thank god not everyone is like that. A Dark Foe is not bad at all. I've seen a lot of bad thrillers and this one is definitely not even close to those. This movie kept my interest the whole time. If you're the kind of person who is in the mood for a chilling story just watch this film.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Seriously good
This movie is fantastically yet disturbingly awesome. Quentin has done it again, but slightly differently than his other two masterpieces, Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds. He weaves a tale that patiently depends upon two hours of character building and background setup before delivering an explosive forty-minute re-telling of a fateful night in Hollywood that delivers a hero in Brad Pitt's character that I will love forever... I hope you will too! Every background character deserves as many honors as the masterful Brad Pitt and the brilliant Leonardo DiCaprio. Everything is perfect, even though it may not seem like it in the sometimes slow first two hours, but it is worth it in the end once everything comes together! Thanks Quentin and everyone involved with this masterpiece!
