EVP Michael Flynn you say? YES
18 October 2022
THAT Michael Flynn. Let's see....crooked cops, ex-military mercs, Jewish mobsters, crooked Russians....and produced by Michael Flynn. A must watch cops n robbers flick. The first time I saw his name was as executive producer, and then saw the plot. He blew my mind and I thought about reality I thought I how suspicious the whole thing is. The fact this movie is not readily available on any streaming service should also be telling that this is a movie they don't want you to watch, thankfully in America it's available and can still be viewed and I definitely recommend you watch it while you can. Surely this will be censored eventually for... some reason.

best zombie apocalypse I've seen in a while
21 July 2022
If you're a die hard gamer, and care about every little detail fitting into what you know from the game, this isn't for you.

IF, however, you're like me, and you just like the general premise, good writing, exciting action, smart characters and HATE being bored.....try this show. Nonstop entertainment. Zombie apocalypse meets corporate conspiracy meets a mystery wrapped in a riddle.

Don't believe the haters....this is nonstop entertainment.

Pure Fun
23 April 2006
Remember the good old days when movies were supposed to be a form of fun entertainment where you could forget about everything except for what you're watching on the big screen? Well those days are back thanks to The Sentinel.

Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland unite friendly demographics and Eva Longoria and Kim Basinger provide solid eye candy throughout this well-oiled never-boring entertainment. Douglas and Sutherland have plenty of on-screen time together and largely act like intelligent good-intentioned Secret Service agents hell-bent on protecting the presidency.

There's plenty of story-line and a plot that just keeps unfolding and unfolding without getting too far out of control. Perhaps there are some question marks raised by potential plot holes but it doesn't get in the way of a what is a purely fun and entertaining movie. Never a dull moment in this one.

Why this movie is good, and I'm not talking about the plot.
10 February 2006
I'm disappointed this movie was not nominated for Best Picture. For those who seem confused about what the point of this movie is, read on. It's hard to fathom a world where things do not appear as black and white, but this is the world we live in. Our current administration has used the tragic events of 9/11 to paint an "us against them" mentality that has polarized our position away from the rest of the world and facilitated Americans to turn a blind eye to what's really going on. The fact of the matter is, our enemies are not a group of psychotically deranged terrorists, hell-bent on killing every man woman and child, they are equally politically motivated as we are. They resort to such abhorrent measures like suicide bombings and hostage beheadings because those are the only means available to them. Furthermore, consistent with their own environment, they do not place the same value on human life that we do and consequently they do not fear death the way we do. Anyway. . . Syrianna strikes at the center of this dichotomy of cultures by showing that the plight in the parts of the world that harbor terrorists is connected with our own country's exploits and opportunism. I agree that globalization is good, but the point of the movie is that our own actions that may benefit all Americans facially do have long term consequences that are only foreseeable to those who have the power to do anything about it yet don't care because of their personal incentives to let someone else worry about it while they profit. It would be no understatement to say that members of our government are part of this effort, as demonstrated in the movie. Bottom line is we all have to be more cognizant of the actions our country takes around the world. These international, foreign actions are how the world judges us; not Mom and Pop operating their convenient store in Anytown USA. It is of the essence that people hold our government accountable, only through transparency can we assure credibility. Currently our government goes to great lengths only to present an illusion of doing the right thing without doing the right thing at all. I am not some flaming liberal, I just have a very firm grip on reality. So, if you didn't "get" the movie, watch it again, and think about how important it is that everything is more than only tenuously connected.
